Classes here are challenging, certainly, but we're not paying private school tuition to take easy classes! Of course, the level of difficulty per class depends on the prof and the type of class (101 vs. Honors 311), but overall expect to have to work for your grades. If you're willing to do the work and show up for class, it won't be hard. The profs are great and ALWAYS available for help, and with our Writing Center one can always get help with papers, so even difficult assignments are totally manageable.

From the first day I was aware of the challenges that were ahead of me, yet after being here for a semester I knew that I wouldn't be faced with adversity forever. This is a college that strives for excellence and creates scholars who are ready to take on the world.

CSB/SJU is perfect for anyone desiring a close-knit campus community. Class sizes are small, allowing the professors to really get to know students personally. Compared to the state schools my friends are attending, I feel my education, dorm experience, and overall happiness are superior.

The College of Saint Benedict, or Saint Ben's for short, is an all women's university nestled in the heart of Minnesota. Saint John's is a men's university down the road, and the two share a unique relationship. All students take classes together regardless of gender, and have a shared experience throughout their four years.
