Classes here are challenging, certainly, but we're not paying private school tuition to take easy classes! Of course, the level of difficulty per class depends on the prof and the type of class (101 vs. Honors 311), but overall expect to have to work for your grades. If you're willing to do the work and show up for class, it won't be hard. The profs are great and ALWAYS available for help, and with our Writing Center one can always get help with papers, so even difficult assignments are totally manageable.

A unique blend of spectacular settings for a campus (lakes, forest, one of the best football stadiums in the country), capped classroom sizes (35), and affordability for a private university. Climate is full four seasoned, food is varied and plentiful, academics are rigorous. Curriculum shared with sister school four miles away (St. Benedict's)

This school has a very Benedictine feel to it and lays a heavy focus on community and valued. In addition to that, its pretty big on empowering women. The biggest knocks (which I think are HUGE) are the fact that this school is very very isolated and the nightlife scene is nearly non-existent, especially seeing as how the school is getting even more intrusive.

It has a great environment for students to be in and grow. There is so much offered for students to be involved in while attending. Also, the Benedictine way of life is influential for all students.

Benedictine values in the heart of Minnesota. No campus is as stunningly beautiful. Though CSB/SJU form two campuses they feel like one school.

SJU CSB has a great sense of community, and is very welcoming. They are separate female and male campuses that share all classes and activitiesThe scenery at the campuses are beautiful. The coursework is challenging.

CSB/SJU are two wonderful schools. Not only do they prepare you for the future, but they present opportunities for current students to grow.

  • Jan-01-2013 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

The campus is gorgeous with everything from the nature around it to its church. The dorms are bigger than most of the ones I've seen on my visits and the food is phenomenal! All of the classrooms and equipment looked clean and up to date.
