Classes here are challenging, certainly, but we're not paying private school tuition to take easy classes! Of course, the level of difficulty per class depends on the prof and the type of class (101 vs. Honors 311), but overall expect to have to work for your grades. If you're willing to do the work and show up for class, it won't be hard. The profs are great and ALWAYS available for help, and with our Writing Center one can always get help with papers, so even difficult assignments are totally manageable.

CSB/SJU is the perfect place if you want an intimate and rigorous liberal arts education. The campuses are beautiful, the resources are abundant, and the people are incredible. They're well-known for their nationally ranked study abroad programs and their excellent alumni-networking system.

» Read MoreThis school has a very Benedictine feel to it and lays a heavy focus on community and valued. In addition to that, its pretty big on empowering women. The biggest knocks (which I think are HUGE) are the fact that this school is very very isolated and the nightlife scene is nearly non-existent, especially seeing as how the school is getting even more intrusive.
