    What to do for fun

At College of Saint Mary they have plenty of activities to keep you busy! On campus, there is a theater, gallery, cafe, study area, computer lab, pool, workout facility, and plenty more! There are also community activities to help others out. Otherwise, Omaha is a busy town, there are always fun ways to keep busy!

    Food and Dining

Food and dining is very important for health and social reasons. You get to sit at tables with friends, or make new friends while eating! It is a great way to socialize while eating to keep your body nourished. There are lots of options every day to choose from, so you will not have to worry about getting sick of the same thing every day.

    Dorm Life

I believe everyone should experience at least one year of dorm life. You learn a lot about yourself, you make new friends, and you get to experience living on campus and getting the benefits that the campus has to offer you. After experiencing one year of living on campus, you can cross dorm life off of your college bucket list.

    Academic Rigor

Academics is the key to school. We do go to school to learn, which means academics. So, we have to keep our academics up to be able to do well in school, which will teach us other life lessons to better ourselves outside of school.

    Tips for prospective students

My tips for prospective students would be to find things that you enjoy, ways to help you relax, and keep yourself busy. Have fun while in college, but remember to keep academics your priority. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help! Anything you can do to better yourself, do it!

    In three sentences

I believe that College of Saint Mary is an excellent college for any young woman to attend. The college has high expectations for every student, pushing that student to do their best in school which will benefit the student both inside and outside the classroom. The high expectations will help the student improve themselves, and who wouldn't want to improve themselves?

    Campus Safety

The campus has security patrolling 24 hours a day and the dorms require an access card to enter and to go up and down the elevators. Also, since it is an all female campus males have to be escorted at all times.

Great for these types of students

This college is great for students who want to focus on furthering their education. This school is for students who want to go into the medical field, become a nurse, own a business, and much more.

College of Saint Mary is not a cheap school, but the education you receive is worth it. Also, the reputation the school has will allow you to pursue in almost any career you choose with your degree.

    What to do for fun

There are many things to do for fun on and off campus. The campus is located near a variety of stores and strip malls. Getting to know your peers will allow you to find an unlimited amount of things to do for fun.

    Food and Dining

The lunchroom is served like a buffet would. There is a salad bar, cereal, toast, bagels, the main course, soup bar, dessert, fountain drinks, coffee, tea, variety of juice, and much more. Every day the main course changes. It can be anything from meatloaf to chicken cordon bleu.

    Dorm Life

The dorms I live in feel like home. I am living in the new Mothers Living and Learning Building. The whole building consist of single mothers and there children. The mothers love it and so do the kids.

    Academic Rigor

The difficutly of your academics depends on how well you organize your work, take notes, and participate in classroom conversations. The more you study the better your chances are for success. If you slack off and don't do your work the classes are not easy to catch up in.

    Tips for prospective students

I would encourage any female to attend the College of Saint Mary if she is serious about furthering her education. There is nothing better than going to school, loving it, and making a future for yourself while getting to learn about yourself at the same time. You will make amazing friendships, and leave the college of Saint Mary with not only a degree, but a sisterhood.

Very safe even though you're in the heart of Omaha, you feel very secure on campus.

    Greek Life

    None

    Clubs and Activities

There are a lot of different types of clubs to join.

Great for these types of students

Women and women with children and Catholic students.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

None that I know about currently but I am still new here.

    Bang for the buck

It is somewhat expensive to attend her and the scholarships aren't all that great. So be prepared to come in with scholarships to help cover your first year. But they do have an advanced science and mathematics department as well as education.

    Food and Dining

The food isn't bad. They have a great salad bar with a lot of fresh vegetables!!

    Academic Rigor

I think they have a good mix between difficult and easy. Though they follow a strict fall/spring schedule so if by chance you need to take a class again you won't get to do it until the following year. Also they quiz a lot then only take a mid-term and final so there isn't a lot of wiggle room.

    Tips for prospective students

Decide whether or not you want to take classes with only females. I think sometimes you miss out on the perspective from the male point of view. As a woman though there are daycare services on campus for students. Free access to a gym and swimming pool so plenty of opportunity to work out. They also have quite a few women's sports. The campus is not hard to negotiate nor do you have to walk very far to any of your classes. They are a little behind the times when it comes to financial aid so be prepared.

    In three sentences

They are very supportive of women and women with children. Their campus is small but has made great improvement to the facility. You won't feel like a stranger because you see a lot of the same people everyday and get to make close friends.
