College of the Desert is a great option if you want to figure out what your next step is while earning some college credits, maybe you'll get your associates while you're there. It's not the best, in anything, academics, student life, counseling or anything, there is no prestige here. But if you work hard and do well you will probably get a reference letter from a has been professor for a top university.

» Read MoreCollege of the Desert is a Junior College staffed by some blow-your-mind fantastic personnel, and then some not-so-great, waste-of-your time personnel. It's up to you to decide what you will get out of a prospective teacher within the first week of class. The good news and the bad news are essentially the same: you will always get out what you put in to your school work, school activities, and community involvement.
