College of the Desert is a great option if you want to figure out what your next step is while earning some college credits, maybe you'll get your associates while you're there. It's not the best, in anything, academics, student life, counseling or anything, there is no prestige here. But if you work hard and do well you will probably get a reference letter from a has been professor for a top university.

Anti-social environment, there's not too much socializing going on. Lots of programs that they don't advertise enough of so students don't know the resources available to them. Counselors are horrible, don't even waste your time.

Good community college for taking care of your lower division classes. Plenty of help and support groups and clubs for completing assignments. Nice environment and staff.

College of The Desert is a excellent stepping stone for students striving to better themselves. Unfortunately the graduation rate is 49% and most students are incompetent! Deciding to attend College saved my life and I thank God for College of The Desert.

Students get a hands-on approach from faculty members who are able to take a personal interest in student progress. You'll also have plenty to choose from since COD offers multiple majors. You'll love it here if you want to be part of a tight-knit community. It's also easy on the wallet.

College of the Desert is a Junior College staffed by some blow-your-mind fantastic personnel, and then some not-so-great, waste-of-your time personnel. It's up to you to decide what you will get out of a prospective teacher within the first week of class. The good news and the bad news are essentially the same: you will always get out what you put in to your school work, school activities, and community involvement.
