    Campus Safety

    The campus is safe. No potential harm to ever come from it. But in case of emergency where security is needed is limited. The security guard is most of the unable to be found.

    Every Wednesday is Student Appreciation Day. Student will get a small snack provided free for the school and an event.
    Bang for the buck

    Tuition for class in not at all that bad. Really depends on what your degree program and your major will be.
    What to do for fun

    There is always clubs looking for new members i.e book club, web club, gamers club, etc. There is a game room in the school where students can play popular video games.
    Food and Dining

    Vending machines and snacks are available for purchase but is expensive.
    Dorm Life

    Collegiate housing is available but very expensive for a shared room among 4 people. It's best to get your own place or stay with a family member.
    Tips for prospective students

    Never get behind on any work. You will dig yourself out of a big hole if you get behind. Even on one assignment. Attendance is taken so always show up to class on time and ready to learn.

    Great school for students who have an open mind and who want actual hands on training for what they want to pursue. All instructors know more than what they are assigned to teach. Excellent learning environment and great overall for the school.

    Great school just need to be realistic with your goals for getting into the gaming industry.

    Fast paced, small class sized school wanting you to learn fast so you can get a jump start into the game production or other art field.

    So many option andactivities always going here in the campus and its so close to mall and other city attraction.Its very safe here .

    There is great diversity at my school students of all ethnicities. The resources are outstanding,Writing center is blessing. Overall, everyone usually is open and friendly.

    more than likely you'll live in tempe, a real college city so there are plenty of bars in close range to college campuses, a circle k on every corner and fast food aplenty.
    Dorm Life

    no dorms just apartment units the school sets you up at. most of my roommates were no good and let their boyfriends stay for free at extended periods of time.
    Academic Rigor

    i suppose it's the same as any other school. the teachers all know what they're talking about but some are just no good at teaching it. the good teachers are the ones that give you the hardest time so just hope they teach several of your classes.

    Great for these types of students

    Collins offers many events such as fashion shows put on by the fashion students, portfolio days that prospective employers attend and an Alumni Association that helps graduates and current students even after graduation.

    some of the more unique resources to the students on campus are sewing rooms, sound stages, full audio recording studio and industry standard equipment to borrow for the weekend.

    to make sure each student maximizes their potential there are many student resources to help excel in their classes from one on ones with teachers and advisers to tutoring and workshops as well as a library.
    What to do for fun

    Collins college has many clubs to join that have to do with each different major offered and there are no restrictions to join so if more than one career path interests you you can join one or more clubs while focusing on one career path. Since the campus is located on the border of Tempe/Phoenix there are a lot of places to go have fun, from bowling, fine dining, movies, parks to night clubs.

    On campus are various vending machines and refrigerated Arby's sandwiches. Off campus there are a myriad of places to eat, both fast food and fine dining. They are mostly located on Mill Avenue which is the center of Tempe (also referred to as college town).
    Dorm Life

    Collins does not offer any dorms but they do have resources to help you find a room mate.
    Academic Rigor

    Collins make class loads easier by scheduling 1 general education class at a time and 2 career oriented classes per term
    Tips for prospective students

    Take a tour of the campus and ask to see student work. Inquire about what kind of positions you can apply your future skills in the job market place. Read the course materials/ research and practice with the equipment when ever you can.

    Collins College has a wide variety of programs in art and design. They use all industry standard equipment and materials. The teachers are industry professionals who have or are currently working in their respective fields.

    What to do for fun

    I've seen music, science exhibits, amusement parks, malls from just reading online about the area. I haven't been there myself... yet.
    Food and Dining

    I've heard from a lot of friends and family that there's plenty to eat in Phoenix, AZ.
    Dorm Life

    There isn't really dorm life. They are affiliated with collegiate housing. Very cheap but very nice apartment buildings.
    Academic Rigor

    I haven't actually started yet but from what I've read and what the staff tell me it's a lot of work due to it being year round but it's worth it.
    Tips for prospective students

    Be ready to work hard and learn a lot.

    Very simple and to the point. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall a wonderful place to go to school.

    They have a security guard at all times during hours of operation.( It will feel like he is following you, that is how much you will see him.)
    What to do for fun

    For fun they have the game room with several flat screen televisions and multiple next gen game consoles( Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii) for you to play during your downtime or between any classes. in the lounge area they have ping pong table. And for those who enjoy doing what your field of study is in they have all kinds of different competitions and group projects you can join.
    Food and Dining

    Well they don't have much food but very nice vending machines and a local food truck that comes by daily. Just make sure you are waiting for him before he gets there otherwise you will be late for your next class.
    Dorm Life

    I don't live in the student housing but i here that it is really nice. A few of my good friends stay in the student housing and they say it's like having an apartment.
    Academic Rigor

    I would say that here at Collins college you will learn more in a year of classes than any other college. Provided you put in the effort of course. The amount of projects and essays are not as bad as you would think for a school as fast paced as Collins but, each assignment is designed in a way that teaches you exactly what you will need to know.
    Tips for prospective students

    You will want to make sure to pay attention to everything said inside the class room and spend as much time practicing the programs that are used within your given field. Don't be afraid to ask questions, no questions is a bad questions. Also answer any questions your instructor asks even if your not sure because than they can tell you the correct one. No shame in not understanding or knowing something.

    If you are willing to put the effort into your school work than Collins college is the place to go. With the fast paced courses you can graduate quickly and be in a career you want. The staff is definitely wants to help you succeed here weather you are an A student and a C student.

    Bang for the buck

    With ever class you are enrolled in almost all equipment is supplied.
    What to do for fun

    There is a movie theater on campus where you can watch student films. There is a lounge area with ping pong and 8 Flat screen TVs for gaming purposes.
    Academic Rigor

    Sometime it can be quite intense doing four classes a week but as long as you make time to do your work it will pay off.
    Tips for prospective students

    Don't be afraid to ask for help or get to know people because you will surprised what you can do when you involve other people.

    Collins College is an amazing school with a fun and inviting atmosphere that will bring you in a hug. Financial aid, teachers, and advisers will go out of there why to help you anyway they can if you let them know if you have a problem. Overall this school is the best college I have ever been to.
