There are many fun things to do around town like bowling, movies, etc. Don't get me wrong I know most college people want to party and trust me there are plenty of those to go around as well.

Again, being non-traditional I do not have as much experience with this area. There is a nice mall which allows for shopping. Skiing is only about 30 minutes away.

Not really much to do, other than go visit the Colorado Monument which isn't too far from the campus. Other than that, the most fun things to do on campus is just to hang out with your friends.

Colorado Mesa is located in the heart of outdoor recreational opportunities. This year, I have been river rafting/floating, backpacking, camping, and I am looking forward to the ski season to begin. Powder Horn is an awesome little mountain and it's only 40 minutes away. There are a few night clubs, and some good bars on Main Street. Furthermore, there is the Mesa Theater, which I have seen many good shows at from big artists including Tech N9ne, The Expendables, The Green, Reel Big Fish, exc. In conclusion, there is a popular club on campus called PAC, and their mission is to bring epic events to us for free, regularly. Some examples of this include bringing comedians in, providing stress-relief week during finals, and bringing Macklemore to preform April 20, 2013.

There is not much to do in town unless you have money to spend, but on campus in the University Center (one of the buildings) there is a game room that you can go to and you can play games, study, hang out with your friends, play pool, ping pong, even foosball. The people there are really friendly.
