The food is delicious. Occasionally, the selection is slim, but the cafe always serves great food.

CMU provides an all access cafeteria that opens from 6am-8am. You can go as much as you please within the hours it is open. When the cafeteria closes CMU also has a separate place to get food that you pay for each visit, which is open until midnight.

The food in the dining hall isn't always the best, and they serve a lot of the same things throughout the semester, but it's not completely bad. They do have a salad bar and a sandwich station, as well as pizza and pasta available every night. The other stations in the cafeteria offer a variety of options, and there are other places to eat on campus. The Bookcliff Cafe in the University Center offers a couple different stations that you can purchase food at with cash, as well as Jazzman's Coffee Shop and Sandela's Flat Bread Cafe in Houston Hall.

Note this is for the MONTROSE SATELLITE CAMPUS, only some comments are applicable to the main campus. Again, for the campus itself, you won't find anything. However, Montrose is home to a surprising number of excellent--and quite reasonably priced--restaurants. There are the usual fast food joints, some chain restaurants like Applebee's and Chili's, plenty of family-owned Mexican diners with huge helpings and awesome food (Fiesta Guadalajara is my personal favorite), and a staggering number of very, very good American-style diners. The Stone House is very high end, with a formal atmosphere, the Camp Robber is a tiny bit less professional but even more savory, and the Red Barn is all about the huge helpings of food. You can also find some unique restaurants, like a Mongolian buffet, on main street. Besides restaurants there's a farmers' market, pastry/lunch shops, health food stores, and even a local (and very, very tasty) coffee house. the Coffee Trader. Believe me when I say you'll find it hard not to find something you like.

The cafeteria has a wide variety of choices that are constantly being rotated. The food is all prepared by an awesome kitchen staff that serves the students with friendly faces. There are other grills and cafes on campus that are always open and cooking delicious food as well. Lastly, restaurants around campus work with the school to offer deals and specials on food for students.

Sadly, there are only two fraternities on campus. The school is expanding and trying to start a few chapters of sororities; however, there is no recent progress.
