All of my teachers were easy-going people. Fort Collins people are so kind in general. CSU really wants you to feel welcome by offering many free activities and clubs. As a freshman, I participated in the 1st Year Mentoring Program, Ram Chefs, were freshmen across campus get together to do the things they love. The whole town of Fort Collins has great Ram Pride! Quickly you realize your hall mates become family. I could easily say CSU feels like a second home to me.

I thought it was going to be hard to settle in, especially since the first weekend of the year is dedicated to orientation for first-year students and thus pretty much has activities going on 24 hours a day for four days. However, once the first weekend is over and once you have time to mull over all the information they throw at you about clubs, sports, classes, etc. it's surprisingly easy to feel at home on campus. There really is a club for everything I am interested in and the community they promote in the residence halls and among the colleges is just incredible.

There are so many campus programs and activities available on campus, ranging from swing dancing to zoology clubs, there are all kinds of places to fit in. Not only that, but Fort Collins has so many wonderful restaurants and outdoor activities. There are many parks and bike trails, and ski resorts are only a couple hours away. It's a great place to live and study.

I absolutely LOVE Fort Collins! Though I do get occasionally homesick, there is nowhere else that I would rather be. Fort Collins is a great town and has so much to offer. CSU as a whole has tons of student organizations that you can be involved in to add onto your resume and experience.
