Fort Collins is a great community. Get out, and get involved in it! Attend the local foodie walks in old town (the Fort Collins downtown area, beautiful around christmas), go to local concerts, walk around the Andy Warhol exhibit, and get outside! Drive up the Poudre Canyon or up to Horsetooth Reservoir and go climbing, fishing, or kayaking.

You could go see a movie the theaters are close. Make friends with someone with a car or have your own. There's fort fun, bowling, roller blading, and movies. Old Town is fun to walk around when its warm and the stores are open since its pretty fun to see the different things there are. And there are always people throwing parties and fundraisers and events going on, so there really is a lot to do. CSU also does a fair share of putting on events that aren't extravagant but are great to go to for a little bit of fun.

Join any organization/club, go to sporting events, go out and explore Old Town, go bowling, go see a movie, climb the wall at the rec center, go swimming at the rec center, check out the events advertised on fliers around campus, see a show or two at the aggie, go up to Horsetooth Reservoir, go climb to Horsetooth Rock, or just hang out in the library with friends. I have done all of the above, and I can testify to how much getting out into the world and doing something improves the quality of life here on campus.
