Categories Comments Great for these types of students Anyone who likes the outdoors. Outdoor Pursuits plans a lot of hiking/camping/kayaking/biking trips for anyone interested (plus, this is Colorado; you can wander off any old where on your own to bond with nature). Anyone planning on entering the medical field. CSU-P's nursing program seems to be doing especially well.
Tips for prospective students Eat/read/socialize outside, weather permitting. Does wonders for one's mood. Buy your textbooks early; the used ones go fast. Take the stairs; you'll be ready to run marathons in about a week. Don't play in the fountain; they frown on that. Check out the greenhouse, even if you're not a biology major. It's awesome. If you are mathematically inclined, spare a second to examine the math building itself. Someone took the time to integrate significant ideas and patterns (for example, a Fibonacci spiral) into the construction. Argue with your peers and professors (in the philosophical sense; nobody likes a shouting match). This is, in my opinion, the best way to strengthen your own grasp of any subject. Above all, take advantage of the increased freedom college offers. Don't get lazy. Challenge yourself; excel.
Bang for the buck Very affordable, as colleges go. Coloradans can attend for around $4,000 per semester (easily covered with a modest scholarship or two); non-residents, about $14,000 per semester (a significant difference, but still a lot less than at most other colleges). Considering the overall quality, I'm calling this a pretty good deal.
Am enjoying being here The entire experience is immensely enjoyable. The classes are interesting and allow students plenty of freedom to explore further anything they find particularly interesting. The buildings are well-maintained. The entire campus is aesthetically pleasing; plenty of grass and trees for those who like to do their studying in the great outdoors (bonus: the local wildlife is pretty comfortable around humans; you can't help but smile when there's a squirrel at your feet begging for your lunch). And the people (professors, advisers, other students, etc.) have all been very friendly and helpful. What's not to like?
Am learning a lot Learning materials are current and lessons incorporate new scientific findings as they are published. Labs are clean and equipment is in good condition. Professors are friendly and knowledgeable. Tutoring is available if desired. For freshmen, at least, effort is focused on increasing the depth, rather than breadth, of knowledge. Plenty to captivate the active mind, but classes will start out a bit slow for anyone who has taken AP courses or researched their subject of interest independently.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students CSU-Pueblo is great for students that want to work toward a career, but not be lost is the shuffle. CSU-Pueblo is small enough to know that you are here. You are not just a number.
Tips for prospective students If you are interested in a college that is on the leading edge - check out CSU-Pueblo.
Bang for the buck In comparison, CSU-Pueblo is very competitive in costs. There are many new programs and opportunities here.
Am enjoying being here I enjoy the atmosphere at CSU-Pueblo. Everyone is friendly and professors really do care about your success.
Am learning a lot I am learning what college is all about. I have met many friends and feel very comfortable here at CSU-Pueblo.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This is a great school for early high school graduates wanting a transition school.
Tips for prospective students Bring your social skills, your ski coat, and your mind. You're going to be using all three all the time!
Bang for the buck Even with my measley scholarship and a full course load, tuition for me is only in the hundreds. It's definitely affordable for me.
Am enjoying being here I don't live on campus, so I'm not as in the experience, though everyone I know says being here is a great experience. It's a close community both on campus and around the school, and the area is so pretty during all seasons.
Am learning a lot This is the perfect school to fulfill general requirements at the. The setting is peaceful, the teachers are fair and knowledgeable. I like the quiet setting, especially with the non-specific classes I'm taking.

Categories Comments Am enjoying being here I enjoy being here at CSU-P. The campus is not as big as other Universities I've seen and visited and that's what I like about this university. The people are very nice here and it's easy to adjust to everyone. Living in the dorms allows me to meet knew people daily and get to know the campus more.
Am learning a lot At CSU-Pueblo, the class sizes are small, which allows you to get as much help as you need in the course from the professors. In the year and a half that I've been at school here, I learned a lot about everything. This school is well equipped to help you in every subject and get the extra help. They offer tutoring for all general education courses and they offer study sessions with groups of students. The faculty here at CSU-Pueblo are here to help you succeed in your education and are willing to work with you as you're struggling.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students get used to the school site! keep close tab with your first year advisor!
Bang for the buck The cost of yearly tuition for out of state students is exactly $7,060 for 12 credits a semester! It doesn't get any better than that to me. You will have a hard time trying to find a university that will beat that -for out of state-
Will enjoy being here I have already met lots of pleasant ppl. Although I've never been on campus I'm excited to go and have a feeling the campus is beautiful.
Will learn a lot because of the student teacher ratio I know I will learn alot more and also be more comfortable

Tips for prospective students Follow all the steps in your orientation to be able to find everything you need to complete course work fast and effectively. The school has so many resources.
Bang for the buck Yes, I am getting a rigorous state base university education at a great price!
Am enjoying being here I have enjoyed my time thus far at CSU-G so much that I have recommended it to others on several occasions.
Am learning a lot I am learning a lot, at Colorado State University Global Campus. It is laid out in a well organized manner and I am always able to find what I am looking for.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students CSU in P-town is great for any students who loves the mountains in CO and a middle size town. The school it self is growing in enrollment. There are many excellent programs offered here.
Tips for prospective students Scholarships!!!!!!!!!! And look at the campus and walk around when there are classes going on..and ask yourself do i see myself here and enjoying it?
Bang for the buck Of course any college is costly but the education, experiences, and friendships that comes with it is worth every cent.
Am enjoying being here My first year was in the dorms which is an interesting experience. There are many clubs on the campus that you can get involved in. The campus is just beautiful and friendly with the sunny days to hang out in the grass with a buddy and chat or with a book and study.
Am learning a lot I have been here for a few semesters. The classes that I have taken have been general ed., but the education I have gained this far has helped me in my summer jobs.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students College is really good for the self motivated but here you are able to find friends in each class that may help push you to do even better. Professors are always there to help push and make you do the best that you can.
Tips for prospective students Get to know your professors. It really helps to show them that you are trying, maybe go in for some help every now and then, it shows them that you really are working hard and they are able to give you the benefit of the doubt if your grade gets into a sticky situation. Also, professors are great references for the future.
Bang for the buck You get a beautiful campus, fantastic teachers and a great education all for around 40 dollars per credit hour, give or take some for the department.
Am enjoying being here It is very easy to slip in and feel like you belong. Professors see you as you not as a number and they are often available for help outside the class room. There are also many groups to join that work outside with the community as well with the campus. It is a great way to get to know many of the people on campus and it is fun to be involved with the community.
Am learning a lot The teachers here are fantastic. Most of them really know their material and are able to teach it well. If the teacher stinks, normally you can learn from the reading material and outside help either from friends, other teachers or online sources that the teacher provides.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students CSU-P offers a lot in the way of majors so it is great place for whatever your plans in life are. If you want a close tight knit feeling CSU-P is a small campus which is great you don’t have to go too far get to class and there is always someone to chat with before class. It is also a diverse campus with transfer, exchange, and students from all over the world that if you are interested in other cultures there will be someone there that will be willing to teach you about where they are from. CSU-P, college will prepare you for the life and success you planned for with hard work and determination CSU-P will help you get to where you want to be.
Tips for prospective students When you are a student at CSU-P there is so much opportunity on campus that there truly is no excuse not to be successful or active. There are so many fun activities and friendly people to do them with that you should be out of your dorm and enjoying your time in college. They are several programs that will help you with your homework and aide you with your understanding of course material that you can be successful in all of your classes. Don’t procrastinate because even though it looks like you have time something else always comes up. Due dates are always closer than they appear. Go into your professors get to know them, they want to get to know you and they will help you with whatever you do not understand in class and they will be a resource to you as you continue on through your college career. Life and learning at CSU-P is great and a fun place to be.
Bang for the buck The education at CSU-P is well worth the money. You are going to gain that experience needed to get you ready for the work force. The activities that are provided on campus are great and free to students, so it’s a great place to stay involved and have fun with all the great people you meet as you go through your day. CSU-P has three new dorm halls that are absolutely gorgeous and comfortable, they quickly become a second home. There are people within the dorm halls that strive to make sure everything is good. Hall directors and resident assistants (RA’S) come up with fun a creative way to help you feel welcomed and contented when living on campus.
Am enjoying being here CSU-P is a great campus the people you meet will be the best part of campus life. Everyone is super friendly and available to answer your questions. There are so many opportunities to get involved on campus. Whether you are in a sport or would like to intramurals, you will find something you love. There are several clubs available and different events that are provided for students to take a well-deserved rest from all the hard work. They invite different comedians and guest speakers to come and entertain and sometimes the events count in extra credit in classes. So you not only get to relax but you also get to boost those grades. CSU-P is an action-packed campus wanting to provide the best college experience possible.
Am learning a lot Colorado State Pueblo (CSU-P) offers great classes. There are several opportunities provided through different programs at CSU-P that will help you on your way to success. No matter what your major you will have classes and that are made interesting and will easy to connect with. Your professors are great resources that want to help you with your questions. I just finished my first semester and can give an honest opinion that you will learn lots and none of what you learn will be wasted. Whether it’s a class that your taking just to give your brain a rest or your taking it because it relates to your major it will learn it in full and in a way that will keep you hooked and ready for the hard work that comes with it.

Categories Comments Campus Safety very good! officers are always around, we have emergency buttons around campus.
Greek Life is amazing! theres a lot to choose from, im currently in the process to become a lambda theta nu.
Clubs and Activities so many clubs and activities! sports are very popular, there's cheer-leading, football, baseball, and basketball. clubs there student council, christian club, and so many sororities and fraternity's.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus at the begining of every year, they have a bond fire its so much fun. the football games are always packed, so much fun.
What to do for fun theres not much here. pueblo is small its either movie, riverwalk or mall.
Food and Dining the food is pretty good, it has its good and bad days.
Dorm Life i have a single room so its great, i have a lot of room. i hate the fact that people in my hall are always so loud. its hard to sleep or study.
Academic Rigor most of the classes are small wich makes it easier to focus. lecture classes are not the best, but if placed there always sit in front. some classes are difficult, but asking for help is always a good idea.
Tips for prospective students come in with an open mind. always try to get your know professor, it helps when you have questions on papers. stay away from the cafe food, its not too good ! always stock up on snacks in your room. do not procrastinate.
In three sentences it has a lot of diversity. very small, but pretty campus. easy to get one on one time with professors.

What to do for fun Visit places in Pueblo and nearby cities.
Food and Dining Not my favorite thing in the world
Dorm Life Good if you have a decent roommate
Academic Rigor Hard but not unbearable
Tips for prospective students Apply for everything EARLY!

Tips for prospective students If you've been accepted somewhere else, go there.
Bang for the buck Its a good deal if you're from Colorado, but if you're from out of state it's not worth it. I would rather go to a community college in a nicer city.
Am enjoying being here Pueblo is not exactly classy and there is really nothing for students to do on their free time unless they play a sport. If you are looking forward to college parties, forget about it. The campus is quiet on the weekends and law enforcement is strict. If your a freshman you have to buy a meal plan in which you will eat highly unhealthy food in a high school cafeteria type setting. It feels like 13th grade.
Am learning a lot The teachers are great and they are always willing to help you do better.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is clean and safe.
Clubs and Activities I am running for CSUP and I love the areas to run. We can travel to other areas such as San Isabel or Colorado Springs to have different feels for the competition. The area around the school is open and so nice!
Bang for the buck It's cheaper than other colleges I have checked around Colorado
Dorm Life I do not live in the dorms because my parents live close to campus and it saves more money to live at home. But from the outside the dorm areas are clean and look nice. If I could, I would love to live in a dorm.
Tips for prospective students Keep in contact with your advisor and keep up to date on all deadlines.
In three sentences Many of my friends are attending from high school. The campus is clean. The sports complex is nice and kept in good condition.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck All I have to say is I got five thousand dollars back, and I payed for my entire first year of college with the help of CSU-P, so I'm not complaining!
What to do for fun At CSUP their is always something going on. For example, in a week there will be a race on campus that anyone can do and its free for the students. And if you wanted to find things to do, all you have to do Is look at all the posters hanging on the walls, or log onto you school email, It is that easy. Not to mention there is always some sort of event taking place, like a guest speaker, a stand up comedian, you name it. I though it was cool.
Food and Dining CSUP's food, I cant say I have ate at CSU more then once, because I live off campus, but the one time i did eat the food, and It was OK. When you go to the cafeteria, there are three lines each with its own kind food Mexican, and Italian, sort of like a buffet. Once your done picking your food, you grab a cup, pour yourself a drink of chocolate milk, or soda, and eat. Off the record, I have heard bad things about how clean the kitchen is.
Dorm Life I have not lived in dorms yet, but I did visit them once, and lets just say it is no home sweet home. The dorms are nice, considering two of them were just built. The insides are tall, but not exactly wide, the restrooms are nice, and you get to choose your room mate. What I am trying to say is that if you want the college feeling, of having an annoying roommate, or sharing a bathroom, live in dorms, if not, DONT LIVE IN DORMS.
Academic Rigor As a freshmen I would have to say CSU's academic courses are difficult, for the most part. As for myself I felt that some classes were easy and were not that difficult to get an A, but for others I found it was hard to even get a C. So I figure It is balanced between the both just like most schools.
Tips for prospective students If your thinking to yourself I DONT EVER WANT TO GO THERE, I thought the same thing, so believe me it is not as bad as you think.
In three sentences I could honestly say I like CSU-P without getting sick to my stomach. It is fun, and their are a lot of things to do. I'm very glad I attended the home of the Thunder Wolfs.

What to do for fun Obstacle course, rock climbing, fitness, pool, and frisbee golf.
Food and Dining great cafeteria, and good people.
Dorm Life I personally do not live in the dorms.
Academic Rigor Challenging and helpful
Tips for prospective students This is a wonderful place, just complete the application and start attending.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Always have a security presence on campus and most police/security officers are fun and energetic.
Greek Life Kappa Sigma is the largest and best Fraternity on campus, while the Alpha Sigma Alpha's are a strong Sorority on campus as well.
Clubs and Activities Great amount of clubs able to suit all interests.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Come find out!
Bang for the buck Great place to go and tuition is very affordable.
What to do for fun Mostly hang out with friends and go walk around Pueblo. Not much to do in town but with a short drive there is a lot more available.
Food and Dining Food isn't that great and a little expensive but the kitchen is being renovated so it should improve by 2013.
Dorm Life The dorms are very social and have a lot of great people both working and living in them.
Academic Rigor Some classes have lighter course loads but overall most classes will have a good amount of homework.
Tips for prospective students Be ready to study hard.
In three sentences A great place to attend for on campus social life. The city of Pueblo doesn't have a lot to do but Colorado Springs is only 30 minutes of a drive. Overall a fun and energetic school.

Academic Rigor I only know about the business school academics since I transferred from a community college.
Tips for prospective students CSU-Pueblo is great for student who prefer smaller class sizes. This campus has easy access from the highway and 4 bedroom apartments within walking distance from the campus.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students First year, undeclared, small town.
What to do for fun Although pueblo is not the largest town, colorado springs is a short 30 minute drive. If you do decide to stay in pueblo the school offers many exciting programs that are sure to entertain.
Food and Dining The food is alright, most of the time its better to prepare your own though.
Dorm Life The dorms are mostly new and the rooms are very spacious. I believe that the school should offer a more interactive way to choose dorms and roomates like they do in other colorado schools (UNC, CU, etc.)
Academic Rigor Classes are pretty much what you would expect. Some are hard, some are easy. Its all about how hard youre willing to push yourself.
Tips for prospective students Really look into everything the school offers. Although its not very large they offer many programs that you probably wouldnt expect.
In three sentences The campus is mid sized and easy to get around. Everyone Ive come in contact with has been very helpful. Ultimately, once I got used to the campus I came to like it very much.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck This four year college is great. You get a great education without the price.
What to do for fun CSU-P has an awesome rec center. You can go to the lake or to the beautiful river walk.
Food and Dining I have yet to eat in the caf.
Dorm Life I don't live in the dorms.
Tips for prospective students Scholarship deadlines are important so don't put them on the back burner. It is a small four year college so consider it.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is very safe with security all over the place and safety call stations in case of violence that alert the sheriff of where help is needed on campus.
Greek Life There are many fraternities and sororities to accommodate the Greek life into the academic environment.
Clubs and Activities CSU has many clubs and activities that fit the diversity of it's students and their majors. Each major has it's own set of clubs to get students more involved and experienced. They also have activities like mud volleyball for anyone who wants to let out some stress and get dirty.
Great for these types of students CSU is great for a broad range of students because they adapt for the needs of everyone making college a fun learning experience.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The only tradition that might be considered unusual would have to be this new activity called slack lining where students stand on a line about three inches wide and perform tricks while balancing.
Bang for the buck I personally believe that CSU is a little over priced, due to student fees that don't necessarily apply to everyone such as childcare that does not apply to me since I don't have children. Other than that CSU has a great price.
What to do for fun There are so many different things to do for fun such as swimming, bike riding, lifting weights, playing basketball, Frisbee, and many other activities offered by the recreational center.
Food and Dining I have only at in the cafeteria once and the food was really good. I would recommend trying the pizza.
Dorm Life I don't know too much about dorm life because I still live with my parents but I hear the dorms are really nice.
Academic Rigor I personally do not think that CSU Pueblo is that rigorous of a school as long as you pay attention in class and study.
Tips for prospective students If you are planning on going to school at CSU all you need to do is study and pay attention in class. You should also keep an eye on your paws account, account balance, and student e-mails because important information is passed through these online places.
In three sentences In my short time at Colorado State University-Pueblo I have learned a lot from the classes and other students. Professors are always there to answer your questions and everyone is very friendly. There has been a few professors that don't lecture enough in class, but overall this is a very good school to attend.

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities If you can name it, we probably have it.
Great for these types of students Very accepting regarding nationalities, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs.
Bang for the buck Good education for the money.
What to do for fun There is a plethora of student activities on campus along with occasional activities in Pueblo itself.
Food and Dining A little over-priced.
Dorm Life Average. It's up to you and your choices as to whether or not you want to party all night or get your work done. Some floors are noisy but study rooms are available in the library.
Academic Rigor Nothing here is harder than anywhere else. Do your best and the professors will recognize that.
Tips for prospective students Study hard and don't party too much. Get involved in student organizations. Spend extra time on campus getting to know others. Remember that you are a representative of higher education, so be courteous, helpful, and show some integrity. Never, ever cheat or plagiarize.
In three sentences Academics are great. Student body is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of extracurricular activities.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I feel very safe on campus. If you ever do not feel safe the Pueblo Sheriffs Department has their headquarters on campus. There are emergency centers around campus that you can push a button and someone will be right there and you can call a number to be escorted to you car.
Greek Life We have two sororities and two fraternities. I was in the Alpha Sigma Alpha for a little while and loved it but decided to focus on school.
Clubs and Activities CSU-Pueblo has great Clubs and Activities. I am in the Medical Science Society, the President's Leadership Program, and Alpha Lambda Delta. There really is something for everyone and you can start your own club if you want something new.
Great for these types of students CSU-Pueblo is good for any type of student. They have so much to offer. Everyone should be able to find their own crowd to fit in.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus During Freshman orientation every one runs to the fountain and makes a wish with a CSU-Pueblo wooden quarter. They also have a foam party every year.
Bang for the buck At CSU-Pueblo you get a wonderful education for a very low tuition. I have had so many opportunities due to what a small university it is that I would not have had anywhere else.
What to do for fun Their are so many clubs and athletics people can get involved. There is something to go to every night of the week. As long as you look at The T-wolf Howl (located on the bathroom doors) you will know what's going on.
Food and Dining I don't eat in the cafeteria that often but their food is not that bad. The Starbucks coffee cart in the Life Science Building is awesome! Also I here the Cantina and the coffee shop in the library are really nice too.
Dorm Life I don't live in the dorms but I have been in them and have not been impressed. I also have friends that hate living in the dorms. It really depends which dorm you are in though...do NOT get Belmont.
Academic Rigor My program, biology, strives to provide academic rigor but I can't attest to other programs. I definitely have to study more than I did in high school but I am still doing well.
Tips for prospective students Just be yourself. I was automatically accepted due to my grades and ACT score but don't get discouraged if you are not. Once you are accepted and attend here, don't be afraid to approach other students or staff, everyone is very helpful.
In three sentences I absolutely love CSU-Pueblo! The opportunities provided to the students by the staff and extra curricular activities are astounding. I am so happy I chose to attend CSU-Pueblo!

Categories Comments What to do for fun Many activities at the campus are free to students! My friends and I enjoyed going to the comedy shows on Wednesdays. There are also movie nights and a disc golf course on campus.
Food and Dining Their cafeteria has delicious food for a reasonable price
Dorm Life I never lived in the dorms, so I do not know how it is thus the three-star rating.
Tips for prospective students Don't be afraid to ask anybody questions! Everybody is willing to help each other out in some way.
In three sentences CSU-Pueblo is a great school. The campus is very modern and the whole layout of it is beautiful. All of my professors were very helpful and were excellent teachers.

Categories Comments Campus Safety A few years ago people wrote on a black board threatening to bomb the school late at night. The FBI got involved only to find out it was a joke. A cop drives around occasionally but the students are definitely not briefed on how to handle an emergency. We do have an emergency text service for people with cell phones.
Greek Life The Greeks seemed to be very outspoken in this campus community.
Clubs and Activities This college seems to do average in this category. There is a club/organization for every major along with the typical Sororities. I have not seen any unique clubs specific to this campus.
Great for these types of students It is great for students who live in or near Pueblo. Otherwise I would tell you not to waste your money unless you have a scholarship.
Bang for the buck This semester it is going to cost me over $3000 in tuition alone for 12 credit hours. I am no financial expert but that just does not seem right.
What to do for fun There are always activities going on around campus. They range from cultural movies to guest speakers to sports activities. Going to football game is the biggest event on campus. CSU-Pueblo has had a great record the past couple of years.
Food and Dining The food is really expensive. Last semester is was a $1.79 for bottle of water. You can get a bottle of water for $1-1.25 most places. $5 at one of the carts or dining places on campus is typically just enough to get you a container of fruit and maybe a drink. Coffee typically is at least $3. Compared to outside sources of food, I give this a low rating.
Dorm Life The dorms are way too expensive in my opinion so I live off campus.
Academic Rigor The courses in my opinion take time and dedication to complete. It is easy to pass with a C but to get the grades you need for graduate school then you will have to put a lot of time and effort into the academics.
Tips for prospective students One tip would be to not take more classes you can handle. Half of my freshmen class dropped out by the end of the semester because most of them did not understand the concept of going to class and doing the work. If it overwhelms you, then withdraw or drop the course before the deadline. Always show up at least 10 minutes early for the bigger classes like Human Anatomy and Physiology. Don't be afraid to ask questions or call in to any of the departments. Sometime mistakes happen like in Financial Aid.
In three sentences Colorado State University-Pueblo has a very diverse group of students ranging in age, ethnicity, and cultures. Tutoring along with other campus resources are very obtainable to students. Most of the class sizes seem to demonstrate a more one on one relationship with the instructors.

Categories Comments Campus Safety We have a wet campus so our campus safety is ALWAYS on top of things!
Clubs and Activities There are so many clubs that most people are in 3 or 4 clubs at a time.
Great for these types of students Anyone who is motivated to succeed, but still willing to have fun.
Bang for the buck If you graduate in four years you get $1,500!! :)
What to do for fun The gym is huge so I enjoy going there. There are always something going on campus for example foam parties, man hunts that make campus life fun.
Food and Dining Food is O.K The cafe does special nights were they serve different ethnic foods but most of the time its your basic cafe food. We have awesome coffee shops and little corner stores that are really convenient!
Dorm Life New dorms were just built and are really great to live in!
Academic Rigor You will be surprised at how difficult some of the classes could be. You for sure have to stay focus and mange your personal life to not fall behind.
Tips for prospective students Take a tour!! Get to know the campus. Come to one of the football games. It gets really intense making home games super fun and exciting.
In three sentences I would describe CSU-Pueblo as the school that everyone goes to. Majority of the students from the springs and pueblo area come here because you get a great education for cheap. Its very welcoming and has so many opportunities its impossible to fail here.

Food and Dining Not like home but will work.

Great for these types of students ANYONE! Being on campus you see a variety of students. No matter what your interests are there is something at Colorado State University-Pueblo that will make it the right school for you.
Bang for the buck The tuition is fairly decent here at CSU-P. And you are able to really utilize a lot on campus that is included in your tuition and fees. We have an amazing library and great fitness center. As well as being able to contact professors whenever you need to really get the grasp on the material. They are always willing to help, which makes the money you are spending to take their class worth it.
What to do for fun Seeing that Colorado State University- Pueblo is in such an outdoors state, there are always outdoor activities going on. The campus has a great Frisbee Golf Course set up. And by joining different groups on campus you can experience just about anything here. There is an inviting group for ever hobby on campus.
Food and Dining The food on campus is wonderful. Whether looking for a snack, some coffee, or a full meal there are multiple locations on campus that can accommodate what you are looking for.
Dorm Life While I haven't lived on campus at CSU-P, I have been in the dorm facilities. All are welcoming and are a true home away from home. The dorm experience at any school can be an interesting, but here they really engage with student activities to create a positive community.
Academic Rigor The professors do expect a lot out of their students and will challenge your thought process in many different ways. But the work load is never unbearable and help is always available to help students succeed.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to speak with the different departments that you are looking into as well as taking a campus tour. There is nothing better then talking with staff and faculty while on campus to really get the feel of the community you are thinking about joining.
In three sentences Colorado State University-Pueblo is a wonderful place to become connected to many student groups, while attaining a great education. All of the professors are more than willing to work with each individual student to help them succeed. This University is the perfect place to get an outstanding education while being able to explore all that life has to offer.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Paths from the academic buildings to the dorms and to Wolf Village (on campus apartments) are very well lit and have emergency alarms in case something happens and a student needs assistance as soon as possible. The campus is very well lit and the sheriff's department is located right on campus and deputies walk around campus and are easy access in case of an emergency.
Clubs and Activities Our band is very entertaining, our football team made it to the NCAA D-2 championships during the 2011 season, the drama and art department is also excellent and well known throughout our town.
Great for these types of students Every kind of student is welcomed at Colorado State University Pueblo, whether you are a band geek, business major, pre med major, or athletes. There is literally something for everyone to enjoy.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus At the beginning and end of each semester, the university holds a foam dance party in front of one of the dorms where a big pool is filled up with foam and music is playing and it is just one big fun dance party. Also, at the beginning of the semesters the student activities organization has a night where the students run around campus around midnight with chalk and draw whatever they want and in the morning it's one big easel.
Bang for the buck Colorado State University Pueblo is located in a small town which is pretty safe for the most part. There is always something to do on campus whether it is going to a football game or visiting the Recreation center for a game of basketball or for a run.
What to do for fun Football games and other sports events, the campus also has plenty of things to do such as movie nights, rock climbing, and the outdoor pursuits club goes on some pretty fun adventures in the mountains and throughout Colorado.
Food and Dining The main cafeteria has decent food, the pizza is the best. But downstairs of the Occiato building we just got an Einstein's Bagel company and it is my pit stop before my morning classes.
Dorm Life I do not or have not lived in the dorms but my visits to see my friends who do live there have been outstanding. The three new dorms (Crestone, Culebra, and Greenhorn) are clean and have everything that is needed for a successful student.
Academic Rigor The academics provided at CSUP are outstanding and since the campus isn't really big, professors give you one on one attention and office hours are made sure to be known the first day of class.
Tips for prospective students College is much different than high school, you are on your own and are responsible for your own actions. Make sure to get your homework done on time and study HARD in order to keep your grades up. Also, do not be afraid to ask professors or assistants for help, that's what they are there for.
In three sentences I give Colorado State University Pueblo a rating of five stars. The college is not only within a great town but there are so many activities that the college provides for students. Also, because of the small class size, the professors give extra attention to the students and help them one on one.

Categories Comments Campus Safety We have emergency stations throughout the whole campus that light up blue constantly. There's a button you push and campus police respond within ten seconds. I feel really safe with these around for those just in case emergencies.
Clubs and Activities CSU-P has a club for just about anything. If they don't have the club you are looking for, they will make it.
What to do for fun The rec center provides trips almost every weekend to go kayaking, fishing, biking, rock climbing and more. The first week in school I biked down pikes peak. That was a rush and a ton of fun.
Food and Dining After PT in the mornings I always attend breakfast at the cafeteria and I have nothing bad to say about the food there. Everything you could think of for breakfast they have it including fresh fruit, bagels, pancakes, waffles, bacon, french toast... you get the picture. Everything is delicious.
Dorm Life Unfortunately I do not live in the dorms, but I do have some friends that do. From their responses about them, I hear that they enjoy being in a housing area that they can meet friends easily. They talk about all the activities that the dorms host and make me wish I was living there.
Academic Rigor Our business program I hear is pretty efficient and so is the psychology program here at CSU-P. I am motivated in the biology program that I am in because of the competitiveness and the fact that the instructors clearly explain the material so that you will excel in the class.
Tips for prospective students Tips that I would give prospective students would be to use your resources on campus. The librarians help you with research papers by finding the sources that relate to your topic most. The tutoring center can help you with any problem you may have with math, chemistry, biology, or anything. The writing center helps you go over your papers sentence by sentence to help perfect your writing techniques.
In three sentences The extra-curricular activities here are extraordinary. The professors actually give you the time of day and slow down if you need things clarified. The students here are very nice and considerate.

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities Almost every type of major, emphasis, or fad is recognized at CSU-Pueblo. Since it is a little smaller than other universities, more clubs and activities can be offered.
Bang for the buck CSU-Pueblo should be a high priority for each home-town student because of all the benefits offered. The benefits are that the tuitition is inexpensive, boarding costs don't cost an arm and a leg, and all the go-to places are already known.
What to do for fun CSU-Pueblo has different activities for students to do for fun on and off campus. Activities range from drive-in movies in the parking lots in to hiking trips in the summer and snowball fights to ice skating in the winter.
Food and Dining There are many different outlets for food options that offer a variety of food each day so that it is convenient and quick from class-to-class or for the leisure time. It is inexpensive and has good quality. This is all not even to mention the time and gas you save from driving on and off campus.
Dorm Life I personally do not live on campus, but I hear good things about living in the dorms. I know there are different options for living on campus which allows more students to have housing options. Allowing them to experience life in the classroom and outside the classroom is great.
Academic Rigor Depending on the subject and professor each student has different chances to click with the material so they may experience it differently from others, but if each student keeps an open mind about the course then they can be challenged and enjoy the work.
Tips for prospective students Go to class! Take every opportunity seriously! And meet new people!

I believe that CSU-Pueblo is a very good school academically wise, the teachers are available for one on one time and they are there to help us.
