Pricey, yes, but you get what you pay for and the experiences is so worth it!

Out of all the colleges I really looked into detail about, this is the most expensive one. On the other hand, they do have the best programs, resources, teachers and alumni so I guess having success in the future will eventually make college pay for itself. Plus, you are almost GUARANTEED a job and/or internship if you go here.

Columbia is expensive. Food gets expensive. Sometimes, your major/classes require you to spend money. You can try to get a job on campus, but good luck because they take forever to reply back to you and don't answer when you call to see if the job is still open.

I was considering staying home in New York and attending NYU for film, but I went with my gut and came to Columbia Chicago, and I never doubt that I made the right choice. In less than a year this school has not only given me increased skill and knowledge that I can apply to my every day work, but they have also opened up career and networking opportunities that I never would have gotten in NYC. Columbia is not about isolating who is the most talented, but rather building a creative posse that you will grow in your talents with simultaneously, who you know you can count on for the rest of your working career, and that is true collaboration in art.

Your experience here at Columbia is well worth the price
