For a liberal arts school, it's an amazing deal. Just don't limit your Columbia experience to classes in your major. I know that Creative Writing classes can be taken by anyone, which means having the ability to be published in Hair Trigger (an award winning Literary Journal). Lots of clubs and things to do in the city. Secret Society is the Sorority, but I don't know of anyone actually involved. They keep to themselves as the name would suggest.

The school hires teachers that are CURRENTLY working out in the field that they teach. It's pretty cool to be able to talk to your teachers about their past AND current experiences that favor your liking. Also, the fact that the school is in the city, you get to explore many cultures of the city life, the fast past of everything and beauty is eccentric! Also, the fact that our school is extremely dedicated to the arts, you are always able to do hands-on experience with your craft, speak and work with professionals and are continually encouraged to do what you love. Also, for a private arts school, it's not AS expensive as NYU or UCLA.

One of my favorite resources is Columbia's personal Apple Store because they give out great discounts on Apple products and also give you really good information. I just now bought Microsoft Office and I did not know that there was a University package where you get to have Microsoft Office for four years and you only have to pay $80 for it opposed to over $200 especially if you are not sure you will use it beyond college
