    There is things to do but few participants.

    Just do the work and take advantage of the free tutoring.

    What to do for fun

    There are always various plays around town or in the neighboring towns. There are also a lot of outdoor activities available such as hiking, biking, windsurfing, kite boarding, etc.

    Food and Dining

    There's a pizza company in the cafeteria! Yum! I love the food choices here and the seating is awesome!

    Dorm Life

    This is a community college - there is no dorm life.

    Academic Rigor

    The classes here are great. However, some of the 3 credit courses take more time than 5 credit courses and visa versa.

    Tips for prospective students

    Make sure you keep checking up on you FAFSA - sometimes it's really slow to process all the paperwork.

    Columbia Gorge Community College is a great place to start your college education. The prices and payment plans are great!

    School clubs are available for outside fun activity.

    The food is great, the kictchen staff are wonderful.

    Homework is given regularly, so the material is understood.

    Be sure to have all books purchased before the course, enrolled in starts. More likely to get the correct book needed for the classes being taken.

    This is a really great school.The teachers really care about students grades. Always accessible to students and their needs.

    Many clubs, involving tutoring. There are some activities available.

    Right next to campus there is a trail called the 'Indian Creek Trail' in The Hood River Indian Creek Campus. The Dalles Campus has less exciting locations but bigger campus in general.

    Bang for the buck

    Columbia Gorge Community College is an inexpensive, intelligent, and open institution for almost anyone's needs. It is worth every dollar spent.

    What to do for fun

    Lots of nice students who are all ages and and hanging out doing school work. The most exciting thing to do is to take advantage of all the help from the students and resources to do better in school.

    Academic Rigor

    Depending on classes it can be harder for students with instructors who may have high expectations. Most employees and instructors don't hesitate to help.

    Tips for prospective students

    I would suggest them to meet some of the instructors and councilors before class time, they do help students with any situation making it less stressful. I would also give the tip to a new oncoming student to be prepared, respectful and happy they are doing something in their life beneficially.

    It is an inspiring college with many great teachers that have changed my perspective of what I can accomplish. Each instructor has guided me through college making it easier and more enjoyable day by day. I rate this college an 8 out of 10.

    You can go to Sorosis park which is right next to the Dallas campus.

    Has a lunch room but nothing other than that.

    Dorm Life

    The campus has no dorms.

    Academic Rigor

    There is some difficulty but it is hard when you take more than one class at once.
