Hang on to your beanie! Be flexible with your major. I changed mine at least 15 times. Not kidding, I got an e-mail asking if I meant to do that.

Talk to the professor's in advance to make sure of what you want. They have times throughout the year to come and visit and get to know your teachers.

Give Concordia a fair chance. Adjusting to a new college is never easy. For me, freshmen year was difficult adjusting to new people, new friends, harder classes, and being away from family. It is not easier to do this anywhere else. Now that I am a sophomore and have adjusted to the college life, I absolutely love it here. Just make sure you give it a fair change and don't give up because it's too hard.

Don't be afraid to join clubs and participate from campus events. Through clubs and events is where you are going to get to know a lot of students, make friends, and feel welcome into the great cobber community. Regarding academics, make sure to save up some time to study and get well prepared for your classes. Also, feel free to talk to the professors about any doubts or other inquiries you might have about the class and/or the material. If you can't catch them during the time of lecture, feel free to stop by their office hours. They sure love to help students in anything. They are really nice and resourceful.
