There are a number of organizations you can be part of. PAAC puts on different events, such as comedians and musicians, throughout the year, usually including one bigger name group. There's also an adorable downtown for a bit of shopping, and there's a disc golf course on campus. There's usually one or two parties each weekend as well which can be fun depending on who's hosting.

Party and hang out with friends. In such a small town, you make your own fun. Movie nights are common and so are lazy days where no one gets anything done. During the week, everyone is committed to their studies, so not much happens besides studying.

There are always events happening on campus through out the week that you can attent that is hosted by one of the clubs or athletics on campus. There are fun bars and resturants in town that you can go eat at and there is a little movie theatre that is really cheap. There are more than 500 student organizations on campus including but not limited to: bellydancing, lacross, weight lifting, bronie, costumers guild, frats and sororities, the newspaper, PAAC, and alternative spring break.

For those of you who don't like going out to party, there is a group that always plans dry events. Last week, for example, they had a hypnotist come to campus. We've also had comedians, movie nights, bands, etc. Palisades is nearby, which is a beautiful nature area to go to. I don't party much, but there is a party scene for those who are interested.

There are so many clubs to try. A neat little downtown area contains fun little shops and a cheap movie theater.

Cornell is situated in the most beautiful little town of Mount Vernon. Everyone here is extremely pleasant and friendly, and there are plenty of cool shops to visit. Undoubtedly the want to party will strike, and there is always something going on around campus that will peak someones interest.

Mount Vernon, the town around Cornell, doesn't have a lot to do. There are three bars that have dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. But there is always something going on on campus that you don't even need to go to town. Movie viewings, dance parties, comedians, plays. anything you can think of! Plus, if you have a group of friends you shouldn't get too bored.

Cornell is as fun as you make it. No, there aren't big house parties every weekend but if you try, you will never be bored here. Don't expect for the social life here to be like in the movies, there are not even 2,000 of us here. Your friends are you best source of entertainment, chose them well.
