Block plan enables me to really focus, both to learn and to love a topic. The only downside is that some details do get skipped occasionally due to time constraints. But the retention of material learned plus the attention you can give to the details of your own work more than makes up for this. Additionally this school has succeeded in teaching the procrastination queen (me) how to utilize time management, which will help in real life more than most gen ed classes ever will.

I really enjoy my time in class and the small campus has given me a chance to make a network of friends quickly. The courses are incredibly rigorous and intellectually stimulating, and most of my professors have been reasonable human beings who I can talk to if need be.

Cornell is a very quirky campus full of very interesting people. Since it is relatively small, there are always lots of opportunities available and people who are willing to help you achieve your goals. I have never had any professor who hasn't been engaged with the students.

Cornell is definitely a place where you can be yourself to your fullest, quirkiest potential. The block plan can take some getting use to (or a lot!) but it teaches you new and valuable skills that you can use in the future. The staff at Cornell tries to keep students busy so there is always something going on somewhere.
