Those seeking an education and courses, and friends that can benefit them spiritually and mentally.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Wallace's is a student center where students can hang out with each other and just be themselves.

    What to do for fun

There is chapel throughout the week, and there are plenty of places around and outside the campus that are cheap and fun to hang out at.

    Tips for prospective students

If you love Christ, this is the school for you. Make sure you are ready to dive deep into the word of God.

    In three sentences

Dallas Christian College is one of the most Christ Centered environments that I have been to. To know that each class starts with prayer helps to open my mind. Everyone here is family and repects each other.

    Clubs and Activities

The clubs and activities offered in the school are countless because of the heart striving teachers and students who keep the school alive with activities. There are plenty of church activities and even mission trips around the world.

    Food and Dining

The food is pretty good for cafeteria food, but if you do not want to eat the food there are plenty of restaurants around to feed you.

    Dorm Life

The Dorms are not the best, but the have the enough supplies for someone to live. The life in general is great because the people around you are great people of God. It is a safe, proctective, and friendly environment in where you will rarely find trouble with someone or something.

    Academic Rigor

The teachers reach the required expectations and work, for the most part, one-on-one with the students. The Music Department is a very active Department outside and inside the school and it starts your career before you graduate.

    In three sentences

It is a spiritual growing school that will change you as a person (positive). The school's environment welcomes new students and is very active volunteer and help your neighbor essence. If you are looking for a good Christian school to improve yourself and help others as you help yourself, Dallas Christian College is your choice.

    Campus Safety

Since this school is private and low key there really is no need for security. So campus safety is good. But you should be on watch for thieves at the school. A couple of incidents occurred and we're never solved.

    Greek Life

There is no Greek life here! Just Christian life!

    Clubs and Activities

Young Life would be the best club here! You go out on Sundays and mentor littler kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade in urban areas. Very influential and positive to do.

    Bang for the buck

For what you pay to go here is about right. It could be a little cheaper for the food being bad most of the time and the internet not working or even the lack in the athletic department. This a super small college I've ever been to. But the relationships you make here will last a life time! That's something I will miss! The professors are phenomenal and are passionate and love what they do! Very well chosen professors and faculty! You will get genuine and unconditional love from them like if they we're your parent. They want you to succeed always and go out the way to see you do!!!!

    What to do for fun

Here at school? Really not much. You will have to be an athlete if you want to have fun. Because you get to travel and play sports. Besides that on campus we do have Wallace's located on the third floor. You have Will, Xbox, and that's about it. We have a projector with a big projector screen. You can watch movies obviously play games and it also has a ping pong table and fusbal machine. In Wallace's you can order food and beverages at real good price. The real fun would be in Dallas like Downtown or the malls or clubs. We have many amusement parks, museums, and beautiful places to relax and enjoy life.

    Food and Dining

Good O Mama K. Man I love this woman! She is the head cook here at DCC. Very hard working woman and nice and down to earth once you talk to her. But the food sometimes is not that tasty. We have seconds and thirds and fourths in the same week. You know its true when students and even the faculty complains about it. But she has to work with what she has. She is very friendly and the co workers are too. There needs to be more variety which I hear they're working on because its not that much! And students included myself get tired of eating the same thing at the school or even fast food places especially when your broke too. But it's getting better. Sometimes its good and sometimes its not. True Story.

    Dorm Life

The dorm life is ok. Nothing real to brag about. The dorm holds to about 60 people since there are only about 100 people who stay on campus. But its small, not a 5 star experience but it's home. You will always have scolding hot water in your rooms! LOL! The internet wifi connection is unpredictable at times. The dudes here are lazy, nasty, and gross. They have no respect for the dorms and the small little lobby we have. Just very messy and unappreciative of what we're blessed with.

    Academic Rigor

Classes are expensive but not really hard! And if you do get a challenging class the professors are here to help in any way they can! I am very blessed for that because working 50 plus hours and playing soccer and doing school was pretty challenging but they were understanding and helped me out!

    Tips for prospective students

If your coming here just to play sports... This is not the place for you! But if you are really trying to make that connection with God and grow in Christ and do missionary and Christian services in the community or in the world this is the place for you! A small campus but every here is family you will see that real quick! If you received that calling from God to come here you should come! If your not serious about it don't waste your time or money coming because you will be disappointed. I LOVE this school and what the name stands for and what they're doing to make this world a better place with better people (better Christians).

    In three sentences

Honestly this school is a good school with good qualities and great passion for what they want to do academically and spiritually. Real Christian Men and Women professors who exemplify Christ in the way it should be! It has really impacted and influenced my life in a major way!

We have a man hunt game that everyone joins in on. It takes place at night when it is dark. You will have a location that could be two or three blocks away from the school that would be the free zone. You split up in to two teams and you have to get to the free zone without being caught by the hunters. We also have a Kingdom Week which takes place during spring break. You will have the opportunity to go out of the state or country to mission work.

    What to do for fun

Some things to do for fun would be to go to the sports events and cheer on your crusaders. Usually on Saturdays a group of boys get a food ball game going on. On Sundays there is a group called Urban Team that car pool together and volunteer in down town Dallas. They work with little kids and take them to the park. If you enjoy doing things with kids then urban team would be perfect for you. You can go up to Walleces and play some games. Walleces is a large room in the administration building. We have computers, fosse ball table, ping pong table, you can play the wii, watch a movie, or just hang out with friends. There are different events that are going on you just have to keep an ear out for them. A group of students sometimes will come together and play their instruments out in the court yard. There is something to do for everyone. The good thing about being at a small school it is easy to put something together and let people know.

    Food and Dining

The food and the dinning is not always the best. Everyone has their own taste so it is difficult to have a large variety of food when you attend a small school. We have a salad bar that is open throughout the day. So say you get out of class and you want something light to eat before dinner then you can go to the cafeteria and get salad, fruits, soup, or make yourself a sandwich. We have the main meal line and an order to make line. Those of you who have a sweet tooth do not worry we have desserts that are left out for you to have throughout the day. The best thing about our cafeteria is the people working in it. Everyone is so friendly and knows you by name. If you needed a part time job and are not fortunate of having a car, you can work in the cafeteria for a little extra cash. Those of you who are picky there is cereal as well that is available to eat throughout the day. The food the majority of the time is not all that bad but there is going to be some times where you just want to make a sandwich and a salad. The cafeteria is kept clean throughout the day. The cafeteria is open Monday-Saturday.

    Dorm Life

The life of living in the dorms will be an exciting experience for new students. Living in the dorms with a roommate, you learn things about yourself that you may have over looked. You pay more attention to your habits when being considerate of your roommate. You will have room checks and everyone has their own responsibilities. For example it might be your turn to vacuum your hall way or to clean the bathroom. Even though you might have some extra work at times it keeps the dorms clean and the chores change each week. Your R.A. will check the rooms to assure that everyone is doing their part. There are consequences to those who fail to clean their room, that being a fine of about five dollars. At Dallas Christian College we have devotions and room checks each night on Thursdays. The boys have their devotions in the guy's dorms and the girls in the girls dorms. On special occasions we will all have devotions together in the court yard. Thursdays are usually everyones longest day because of devotions starting at ten and goes to eleven p.m. Devotions let us all come together and hear the word from a speaker. Other times we will break into our small groups and talk about anything that may be giving us trouble. After devotions we have a late night breakfast in the cafeteria, which is optional. Once late night breakfast comes to an end a group of us will organize an activity in the gym. Everyone of course is invited. The activity varies from a basketball game, indoor soccer game, or a game of volleyball. Living in the dorms gives you the feeling of being a part of a big family.

    Academic Rigor

Attending classes at Dallas Christian College will challenge you. Even though teachers are willing to help when you are having trouble does not necessarily mean that they will go easier on you. They still expect to get assignments done on time. If you are playing a sport then you will have mandatory study hall hours. You have to attend study hall for a certain amount of time that will be reported back to your coach. If you are failing a class or falling behind you will report to Mr. Sparky. He is in charge of the study hall. He has his students sign a contract that they will some to study hall twice a week to receive the help they need. If you fail to come to study hall there will be major consequences.

    Tips for prospective students

For you prospective students I would suggest that you get as involved in the school as much as possible. You will gain so much like friendships, knowledge, and a better perspective on life. If you consider coming here prepare yourself to be stretched to grow intellectually and spiritually. The school requires a certain amount of hours of Christian service. This means that you have to have at least six hours of community service. Some students find this a hassle but understand that this helps you stay on track. You are so busy with everything that you do not have the time to get into any kind of trouble. When it comes to keeping up with all your studies and activities, I advise that you purchase a large calendar to keep up with due dates. If you are coming in as a freshman brace yourself for a difficult transition. The classes do challenge you and the grading system is harder than other colleges. With that being said, do not let it discourage you when making a decision if coming to Dallas Christian College. You have teachers, staff members, and friends helping you along the way.

    In three sentences

Dallas Christian College is an astonishing school with one on one help in the class rooms. The teachers will take the time to sit down with you and explain something thoroughly. The school is also very involved when it comes to the community.
