Well, if you're at CDM (College of Computing and Digital Media), there is a game lab on the 5th floor. You'll need an account to access the computers if you want to play games on those, but the Wii's, Xboxes, and PS3's there are able to be used provided you turn in your school ID while playing. Not only is it a chance to relax, it's a place to make friends and learn tips to your favorite games. Defrag, the DePaul gaming club, also hosts events that are worth staying up for.

Lots of Museums, and art galleries in the city/downtown area. And of course shopping and boutiques are sprinkled across the northside of Chicago.

Depaul has plenty to do outside of class, you can choose to attend a multitude of games, which are free, and students of some departments get access to specific faculties. For example, as a member of cdm (computing and digital media), I get access to a game lab, where I can play many games on a wide variety of systems.

There are bars in the area, places to dine, and you can join a school club or sorority/fraternity that meet up regularly and have events.

Since DePaul's location is in and around the city, there is an enormous amount of activities you can do. For example, if you are on the Loop campus there are tons of places to go shopping and the Water Tower Mall is at walking distance. If you are of age, there are many bars and pubs to have a drink with a friend. In the Lincoln Park campus, there is also stores and many restaurants to go shopping. If you are into the nightlife, Lincoln Park has a strip of nightclubs nearby and Wrigleyville is only a few blocks away.

Because I am not 21 (and don't have a fake ID), I usually go downtown on the weekends to shop, visit interesting restaurants, or see the cliche Chicago landmarks. Most students head to the bars beginning Thursday nights. Sometimes I ride the L up to Loyola University to visit friends there.

If you're of age, bars are the way to go. Chicago has great night life. If you're not of age, museums have free days and sometimes there may be a free concert in Millennium Park. Also, the beach is just a 15 minute walk away from DePaul.
