A Denison education is definitely worth the price.

Denison's got a pretty steep cover price - over $50,000 a year for room and board - but they give out a lot of scholarships and financial aid, and the time here is worth it all.

If you limit this to academics, I would give Denison five stars. The classes are small and involved, and professors go out of their way to make time for students and questions. The tutor service is free and easy to receive, the library is extensive due to the OhioLINK program which connects all the Ohio Five schools, and there are several computer labs with printers all over campus. The buildings are also well maintained, and constant upgrades are put into place, such as both our dining halls are being renovated this year. However, my rating decrease stems from the expense of housing and dining. The dining plans are very limiting- you can either spend a lot for meal swipes to the halls, or you can redirect that money to Denison Dollars, which can only be spend in the Student Union anyways. Neither option is very satisfying. The dorms are in fair condition, but they are simply not worth the money you pay. I'm sure this can be said of every college, but due to the required residency on campus for all four years, you will not be able to look for more competitive housing in Granville.
