    Very affordable compared to many colleges out there

    Just make sure you bring WARM CLOTHES!!!! But other than that you wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

    Campus Safety

    Clubs and Activities

    There are all kinds of clubs, but as an athlete it is hard to join any.

    Great for these types of students

    Athletes, and people who want good classes and teachers without being suffocated by school.

    Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    We have a dance every two weeks and it's actually pretty fun to go!

    Bang for the buck

    Hispanic students get a lot of their schooling paid for, and it's hard to afford it yourself. Make sure you apply for all the scholarships that you can!

    What to do for fun

    You can party, watch sports that are constantly going on, and do things in the dorm. The RA's are always setting up fun activities.

    Food and Dining

    The food is good, but repetitive!

    Dorm Life

    Dorm life is fun, but the dorms lack privacy and they are cramped.

    Academic Rigor

    The classes are challenging, depending on your major. I'm a bio major, so I am constantly struggling through classes. Don't let yourself procrastinate!

    Tips for prospective students

    Apply for financial aid, get a couple good roommates, and stay focused!

    DSU is a good school for a student looking to attend college in a small town. A lot of change has been going on with the recent oil boom, but it still maintains a home-town feel. It is also a good option for someone looking into on-line classes.

    if your religious there are groups that work on spirituality.

    What to do for fun

    join clubs and social groups.Play sports or attend the events. Help support the local activities in the college to make campus life better for not just your self but for everyone around you.

    Food and Dining

    Learn to proportion things.There is an amazing ice cream machine.A lot of healthy food which i love.

    Dorm Life

    The new experiences of living on your own. Social parties and different ethnicity's.New people that will change how you view things.

    Academic Rigor

    Take your generals not because you have to but because you need to learn whats required. Plan correctly for future semesters. Spend what money you have accordingly.

    Not a time to party.Set goals and achievements for yourself. Learn to use your resource's.
