Bang for the buck Well, I started court reporting school in Houston, Texas. I left that school at 200 wpm because I wanted to move back to my hometown in Los Angeles, California. I've only been on this earth for 24 years and I can say this is the most challenging venture I have ever explored. What my goal now is to hopefully receive grants so I can purchase my own steno machine and software that I need for future work.
What to do for fun With court reporting school, I feel it's not supposed to be fun. I enjoy what I am doing. There are conventions the State has every year, and I hear that is fun because we are meeting new people and networking.
Food and Dining We have a quick vending machine that is on campus to catch a quick snack. There is also quick fast food places in the area that is convenient.
Dorm Life We have no dorm rooms here. That would be awesome, but the school does not offer dorms.
Academic Rigor Our academic classes are not hard. It just takes a lot of time to study and be focus. I, personally, love learning. It teaches me to be prepared for what's coming up in my life as far as my career.
Tips for prospective students Court reporting is not an easy program. This process the most challenging for students. We have to become very accurate and fast speeds in order to be successful in this profession. There are so many options we have when we get in our career. We are here to make a change.
In three sentences 10/10. I love this school. Teachers are here to help us students. Students and teachers are very encouraging and believing in students that we will accomplish our dream.
