» Read MoreDuquesne has 80+ organizations on campus that hold events almost every week including free movies on Fridays. One of these organizations is the Office of Freshman Services, which assists freshman in their adjustment to college by offering guidance, newsletters, and a one of a kind orientation program. Duquesne is also located in the heart of Pittsburgh and within walking distance of the Consol Energy Center. For sports fans, this town is perfect since it is home to the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates. I would definitely check out Duquesne and all it has to offer by going to www.duq.edu.
» Read MoreI absolutely love being in Pittsburgh. Duquesne's campus is gorgeous and so peaceful compared to most Universities located in a central, downtown area. Living on campus has definitely been a rewarding experience, letting me get involved in a number of different activities ranging from Greek Life to helping the freshman as a Team Leader during Orientation. Also, many people will refer to Duquesne as a happy family, which may sound a little awkward to most... However, rest assured that you really do become a family in the sense that you have an instant connection with anyone involved with Duquesne. There is always, always, always someone that knows of someone that has gone to Duquesne. Believe me, even after studying abroad in Rome (another HUGE thing offered by Duquesne!), I realized just how small the world really is.
