After room and board the school costs $40k on average. This is typical Private Catholic University. Although the campus is safe and beautiful and a free quality gym, it's completely overpriced for what you get. 39% of students drop out of Duquesne, the dorms are very small and pretty gross, Duquesne is the ONLY school in Pittsburgh that doesn't give their students free or discounted public transportation, pretty bad food with mean dining staff, overpriced convenience store, won't take AP Eng Lang test scores, and has way too many core requirements that make it near impossible to transfer to any other school because your credits won't transfer over.
