    If you are a hands on learner, go to ECPI, I doubt you will regret it.

    Short Pump is right down the street! Go check it out.

    There are people every where keeping an eye on everyone and it's not a huge campus where you walk around different building and possibility of being lost.
    What to do for fun

    They have programs you can get into that would be considered like clubs and also have a library open to all enrolled or past attending students.

    They have an area called the break room which is full of vending machines, microwaves and tables with chair to be able to comfprtably relax a minute when needed.

    They do not have dorms.

    They try to educate you to their besy ability to help you be sucessful in your future career.

    Make sure you have your high school transcripts and be prepared for the enrollment and application fee(s).

    The people and instructors there are very friendly and caring. The enviroment is very clean and attractive and is overall a very ideal place to earn your education. Everyone there has one main goal: to help you as much as they possibly can.

    ecpi offers numerous clubs and on-site job fairs and activities to assist students in their job search.
    Great for these types of students

    ecpi is great for working adults or transitioning military personnel who need to get their degree. they offer many different class schedules and an online programs to work around your schedule.

    i was a former student at ecpi 11 years ago, when i graduated i got a job and instantly gained a 120% pay increase.

    there are many clubs and other events provided by ecpi

    ecpi offers a cafeteria run by the culinary institutes students.

    be ready to work. the fast pace is difficult and trying at times but the time frame and benefits are fantastic.

    every week there is time set aside during class for clubs. there are a lot of clubs that support a wide variety of interest. everything from robotics, criminal justice, gaming and many more.

    the cafe is actually run by the culinary arts students and so far, absolutely no complaints.

    i am only in my second term here but so far the classes are challenging. however, there is a ton of help available and the entire staff is willing to assist.

    as long as you go to every class and do your homework it is very easy to succeed.

    i have heard good reviews from past students, who had attended ecpi. an administrator from ecpi gave me a tour of the university and told me good things of the program have enrolled in. i am looking forward in graduating on 5/2013 as a certified medical assistant.

    we have innsbrook patrol. our president of the college, is always there for us if we need help with anything.

    I have no encounters of any greek life style, but can introduce the students to such culture. There is always room for more education. Overall this school is the best i have been too,thus far.

    there are plenty of different dining and food areas around ecpi university located in innsbrook. chick-fil-a, wendy's, silver diner, starbucks, five guys are just some of the places you can eat out.

    There are no security guards but there really doesn't seem to be a need for them. The parking lot is well lit, the front and back doors can be locked easily, but I would like to see a phone alert system, even if just for weather-related emergencies.

    There are a number of groups to join: ACTOUT, ASTSA, NTHS, and those are just the ones I know of. There are many others and they all do great jobs getting the information posted for the students viewing.
    Great for these types of students

    Everyone. I'm a mom to 5 kids and it fits my schedule. Most of the other classmates work in the afternoon so the morning class schedule worked fine. It's great for those that are over-achievers as well as for those who aren't ready to make a 100% commitment to their education.

    I haven't been there long enough to know, really. I do like the location of the campus and the great lake behind it. It has a pathway around it for a walk on breaks and lunches and to get some fresh air and regenerate those brain cells

    I really do think that the school is a little pricey; however, it is a university and it is actually right on track for what state universities would charge.
    What to do for fun

    The classes are smaller in size so the students really get an opportunity to get to know one another. There are also groups that are offered and one of them ACTOUT, has parties at the end of each mod and really keep us energized and excited about school.
    Food and Dining

    There is a small dining area and that is always kept clean. I would like to see some healthier choices in the vending machines, though.
    Academic Rigor

    Because the classes are so short, there are more tests, and more quizzes, but they are on point and reasonable. Because the classes are shorter there is more information to absorb and it keeps you on your toes. You have to be willing to put effort into this to stay on top of the class!
    Tips for prospective students

    Stay in touch with everyone, from your admissions advisor to your financial aid person to the director of Education. Everyone is willing to help you and they all care about your success.

    ECPI / Medical Careers Institute is very focused on the end goal of achieving your degree and the instructors work very hard to make sure that you have every opportunity to succeed. They have shorter classes that last only 5 weeks which is a great time so that you don't get bored of the subject and you really feel as if you are getting closer to the goal faster than ever.

    Bang for the buck

    Although ECPI is a private college with pricey tuition, the opportunity for loans and grants are available. In comparison to other colleges, ECPI's bachelor's program beats the time you would normally spend at a traditional college, by offering students a bachelors degree in 2.5 years! The money is worth all the time ECPI saves each student.
    What to do for fun

    ECPI has many different clubs students can become involved in, allowing them to get acquainted with other students and enjoying outside festive events planned by each individual group. Students can also join in on the fun in the world of gaming. Students interested can play in gaming tournaments, learn to build their own games and more!
    Food and Dining

    ECPI has a newly built cafe that offers breakfast and lunch items, as well as tasty snacks and drinks. The students from the Culinary Institute dedicate their time and culinary skills in the cafe, offering students and staff an assortment of delicious homemade breakfast and lunch menu items made from scratch, daily. From bacon, egg and cheese on a homemade biscuit to fresh chicken salad wrapped in a tortilla, A+ food is available all day long!
    Dorm Life

    Unfortunately ECPI does not offer dorms for students at this time.
    Academic Rigor

    The faculty and staff at ECPI truly care about the success of each student and will show concern if any days of class are missed. The rules and regulations are necessary to insure a high rate of successful graduates at ECPI. The rules and regulations are firm, but are not unbearably strict.
    Tips for prospective students

    My personal advice for prospective ECPI students is to have a career plan set in their mind and go for the degree that best suites them, set short term and long term goals for their future and finally, students should study efficiently and gain as much knowledge as possible from of each class they attend.

    ECPI offers many graduate programs; Business Management, IT Management, Health Administration and many other programs. Students have the chance to graduate with their bachelors degree in just 2.5 years. ECPI is a fast paced school that allows you to learn a lot in just a short period of time!

    The school is in a very busy location and there are plenty of lights and cameras around the building. For the night students, they have a security guard to watch the building.

    I wish I could rate five stars in this department but there aren't as many activities as I personally would like there to be. I must say they do try, and are always open to new ideas.

    ECPI is a great University for any one who wants to get school done and over with. You get a bachelors degree in two and a half years, you can't get any better than that.

    When you pick a field of study at ECPI these people become family. We have so many inside jokes and great memories, it's going to be sad when I have to leave. I remember two entire classes went on a Chipotle break.

    The thing I love about my school is that everything is included with the tuition. I pay a hundred dollars a month and that goes toward my tuition. I don't have to worry about buying my books or anything else.

    Every day is an adventure at ECPI. For the first time in my entire school life I actually look forward to going to class. They also have student appreciation days which provides food and fun games.

    Students have their own break room and a very beautiful outside scene to get fresh air when needed. Also, there is a very convenient cafe in the neighbouring building.

    The only reason there is a one star rating for dorm life is because it is not applicable. At this time, dorms are not available for my school

    The college professors expect nothing but the best from each of their students. Although this may sound as if you would be pressured that is not the case. They help every student on not only their strengths, but their weaknesses. There's only room for improvement.

    When choosing a college or major, choose not only with your mind but your heart. Its is important to major in something you're passionate about; remember that saying: �Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.� -Confucius

    ECPI University gives the opportunity of being yourself while learning in an amazing environment. The professors there have inspired me and shown me that I can achieve more than I had ever expected. I give this school six out of five stars and recommend it to everyone.

    The campus holds safety in high regards no weapons allowed on campus unless a police officer or other law enforcement who are on duty as they have to carry their weapons on them. No delinquent behavior is permitted and can lead to explosion. Professionalism is expected from students at all times because potential employers from highly respected businesses are constantly coming by looking for students to hire.
    Clubs and Activities

    There is a club for every major like med club for the medical students, computer club for the computer students (not engineering there is a difference), robotics club for the mechatronic students, and so on.
    Great for these types of students

    The clubs are geared for the students in the field. Such as med club is for medical students. However if you have an interest in the field but aren't studying for that major you can still join. They do community projects as well so you're not going to be stuck inside all the time. Like the med club is doing the upcoming walk for the March of Dimes.

    None that I know of.

    Don't be afraid to ask questions during class if you don't understand. If this still isn't enough ask for help after school. Most professors will stay, but even if they cannot they will bring you to the expert tutor on the subject.

    Plenty of school clubs and you don't have to be taking that major to join. If this doesn't interest you then network and find students with similar interests as your own.

    There are vending machines with good food and drinks. Cheaper then any other places I have seen as well.

    As prospective students of ECPI, you have to be focused. ECPI is an accelerated program so there is little margin for slacking or laziness. Only attend ECPI if you was the best education that you are partially control of.

It is full of compassionate and very helpful employees that are have the same goal in mind: assist our students in anyway possible.     There are plenty of things to do all around the campuses, from VA Beach to Newport News. Beaches, night clubs, golf, outings, and much more.

    The Newport NEws Campus does not have any dining options on site, however they on trying to fix that within the next 2 months as of June 2012.

    I can say that after much research I feel ECPI is pretty competitive for your money. College is expensive no matter where you go but I have been able to get my money's worth thus far. They even offer job placement so I'm really looking forward to that after graduation.

    You must be a self driven and self disciplined person to take online classes. ECPI works at a very fast pace and if you get behind it is hard to catch up.     To be a successful online student, you must learn how to manage your time wisely.

    I have been attending ECPI University since August 2011 and its been a great experience thus far. The professors express concern about the students achieving a quality education. In addition, the administrative staff ensures the students have a clear understanding of the financial costs and expectation for attending the college.

    The campus is clean and new. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the premise of finishing with my RN in less time is very appealing. It will be hard work, but worth it in the end.

    Great for these types of students

    They are great for Networking, Database, Web Development, and Nursing people.

    They have a student appreciation once a month, where they have games and food for us.
    Bang for the buck

    You get everything you would expect for the money. They offer help with setting up your resume, help with searching for a job, massive online library, tutoring anytime, computer labs that can be used by all, no huge classes so it is more personalized. All in all ECPI is an awesome school and glad I picked it!
    What to do for fun

    They have CHAOS Club (for techies) and an Honor's Club. No sports.
    Food and Dining

    They have a student lounger on campus with vending machines and tables. They also have an outdoor area for smokers.
    Dorm Life

    At the Greenville, SC campus there are no dorms, however I am not sure about their other campuses.
    Academic Rigor

    The teachers are excellent and the classes you will have in your field are kept up-to-par with what you will be using in your field when you graduate.
    Tips for prospective students

    They make everything extremely easy for you to enroll. They also have a paperless system, so having access to a computer at home is a plus. If you don't have a computer there are plenty on campus, including up-to-date Dell's and Macs loaded with all the software you need.

    It is an excellent school with wonderful teachers! They have tons of resources at your fingertips and give you the hands-on learning that will help you in your field. It is a fast-paced school, 5 week terms, but it helps you finish faster and keeps you on your toes!

    There's always time to have fun besides studying. Make time for your family by going to a movie or dinner or even to a festival, play or fairs that are in town.

    You have to be able to demonstrate not only content mastery but applied skills and critical thinking about the disciplines being taught. Make time to better achieve at your goals.

    The school isn't your traditional college but is a career college. But there isn't any problems in the school.

    I am in the web club and it does so much to help out the community and the school. The club will go and feed the homeless and will join up with toys for tots and other organizations to help raise money.

    If you like small classes then ECPI is for you because the classes are relativity small and it's easier to get one on one time with the teacher if needed.

    The school is a career college and you get a bachelors degree in 2.5 years.

    I love how fast the classes go and how fast I will recieve my degree. The classes are not as hard as I thought they would be and the times of the classes work perfect with my schedule. They are flexible with you because they understand other outside issues.

    While ECPI offers degree completion faster than most schools, it is extrememly expensive and at least in the RN program, I don't feel that the courses are complete. Some teachers try to cram huge amounts of info and others tell you only what you need to know. Also the school is not nationally acredited, which more RN to BSN programs require if you are thinking about continuing education. Also, since ECPI does not require as many classes to graduate as other RN programs, when you go to get your BSN, you will be required to do classes that should have been taken prior to even getting your RN. I would've gone to a cheaper school with a better educational program. This school seems to good to be true. It is. I've had some good instructors, but overall the admin staff and professors are not ideal.

    Challenging but if you work hard, you will be able to handle the course loads.

    Good for a hard-working students looking to accomplish a degree in the shortest time possible.

    DO NOT go to the Manassas campus for RN! Degrees in a short-time frame, but not worth the money for the poor organization and imcomplete classes. The staff are great at sucking you in saying they care about students, but once you're in, all they see you as is $$$.

    I only answered one star because the campus I am at doesn't have dorms to my knowledge and if they did I was not informed of them.
    Tips for prospective students

    I would recommend having a savings account or a stable financial situation before attending a full-time program. Make sure you have a good support system before starting because with year round school it is very hard to stay motivated unless you have family/friends supporting your decisions and positively motivating you.

    ECPI University is a great school to get your education in a short amount of time. I would recommend it to those who are in a hurry to get a degree and don't really have other commitments outside of school. The downside would be that it is basically a year round school, so no summer or spring breaks. Lastly, it can be pretty costly depending on the program of choice, but if in a person's budget, the education is worth it.

    The academics here at ECPI are something that I have never experienced before. The faculty and staff are some of the best I have ever seen.

    I absolutely love going to ECPI. It has been the best college out of the three that I have attended. I am not just a number I am a person.
