East Los Angeles College has been a great school for me. I was going to Cerritos after high school but it was so packed, so I did not want to wait another semester, so I decided to register at Elac. Although there are no waiting lists at ELAC the chance of you getting into a class is high. I got into all the classes I wanted to, although they were full. I have learned a lot in these classes.

For the most part this college is still in development, it has the potential to be a great community college. There is a lot of construction being done on main campus, and this is great because in a couple of years there is going to be more resources offered there, but as of now some resources are lacking. Overall a great college to start and prepare yourself, if you decided to transfer to a 4-year university.

Coming out of high school into the college world was difficult enough but ELAC was an easy transition. The atmosphere is great as well as the professors. I really do get that college feel here.

I had originally been going to CSUN but after a month being there it was not what I expected. ELAC was much more helpful and more affordable it had better classes than CSUN, too. ELAC also has a better environment and is much more welcoming than CSUN ever was.

Its a pretty decent school, nothing fancy, but it seems to be getting better.Building and construction going on is a bit distracting but its looking pretty good.Rude staff though.

East Los Angeles College is a great place to begin your collegiate education if you are not certain of what university you would like to attend or if you simply are trying to gain a degree in a trade. The counselors are very helpful and do anything possible to prepare you for a four year institution. Also the expense of this community college is low, but the quality of classes is very good.

East Los Angeles College is a great school. With the main campus located in Monterrey Park, California and a smaller one in South Gate, California, they both are good and engaging. I have learn so much and teachers are good.

East Los Angeles College is a well-known college and was recommended to me by my mother since she was a past student there back in '05. The classrooms in the old buildings are small and the desks are a bit worn out and rickety but the professors there are very smart and they are very helpful. The campus is not too big so thats always a plus since you wont have to walk very far to your class or take a bike. The thing I like most about Elac is that it is surrounded by many different places to go and eat, like Taco Bell, Yoshinoya, and so on. Since it is small there arent that many places to sit around by yourself so get used to being around your peers a lot. The library is great place to look up information you need on any topic for your class it is clean and people respect each other there. However it is always crowded with students so finding a chair or a computer may not be available most of the time. The librarians are also very helpful and nice, it is what makes the library more enjoyable and relaxed.
