    The ELAC tuition rate is small, only about $46 per unit so having a full schedule can range to about $500. However, the textbooks needed for the classes cost from about $50 to over $100, which makes it hard for students to get the necessary reading material they need for classes.

    I try to save up money but it is hard being the only one that is working. I have a daughter that is at Long Beach City College and is not working as well as a 24 year old son that is not working and a 13 year old son in Middle School. I try my best. I work 40 hours a week and go to school and have a 4.0 GPA. I think I am doing something right. I try my best but sometimes I do get frustrated.
