Go to the tours and the freshmen day, they help out a lot, and make sure you are updated with what books are needed for your classes. The teachers change the books needed at last minute sometimes.

Tips coming from me would be 1st, go to class. Second tip I would give you would be study at least 2 hours for every 1 hour of class. Do everything you are asked when doing assignments, they will help out a lot.
