    When you come in for your orientation and meet with an advisor, have an official transcript and a copy of your official transcript from your previous school/schools with you. If the office lost or has not processed your transcript, you cannot sign up for classes.

    Do research on the teachers. Talk to people who have been in the classroom with those teachers. Find out who has a good teaching style, who grades with more tenacity than others, who will challenge you with out making you feel like you're worthless. It will definitely pay off in the long run.

    Go to the tours and the freshmen day, they help out a lot, and make sure you are updated with what books are needed for your classes. The teachers change the books needed at last minute sometimes.
