    There isn't much to do in Portales itself, but aside from the social activities on campus, there are things in surrounding towns like Clovis, which has a movie theater, mall, and zoo.

    The campus ASAB always has something going on since the city is very small and boring. And there is also a movie theater in Clovis, about an hour away.

    The student union brings in bands and comedians for entertainment. There are also movie nights in which the students vote on to see what movie is played that week.

    You can enjoy the desert landscape of El Llano Estacado! There's tumbleweed watching, desert-beetle collecting, and you could, of course, study.

    There isn't much to do in Portales, but Clovis is only 20 miles away. There is a mall and a movie theatre in Clovis. There are a lot of free events on campus, though.

    I plan to play basketball here, so I was very exited to hear that the games get very rowdy! I plan to try to make it to some football games, as well, and any other sport that I can support my school and have some fun cheering on.
