Around Town

The school offers tons of free programs every week that anyone can attend.

There are not very many options of things to do in Portales, New Mexico. They have The Dawg Houz and Goober's (local bars), but other then that it's pretty dead besides the frat parties. A short twenty minute drive away is Clovis, New Mexico which has a mall, a movie theater, and that's about it.

There is not much to do in the town of Portales, but the school provides many opportunities like concerts and community get togethers that help the students socialize with the community.

now there are many things on campus you can do for fun. for instance, the clubs, the computers, olympids that they do in the beginning of the year for on campus students, and the random events that they hold everyday. there is always something going on in UNM.

hang with friends and go to soccer, football games and other games

One of the main things to do for fun is just hang out with friends. While being in college there isn't anybody to dictate your life so you just end up hanging out a lot.

There are several clubs to join that involve almost anything you can think of.

I like to go to the sporting events, because I go with friends and they make it fun for you.

There is always going on at Eastern New Mexico University. There is always some kind of event happening because the school knows how stressful the college life can get. So they do events as a get away from work and stress.
