Around Town

EWU is located in the very small town of Cheney. The most popular thing to do for fun is simply hangout with friends. You learn to make your own fun when you live in a small town. There is also the city of Spokane about 15 minutes away which is much larger and has things like movie theaters and malls.

There are multiple things to do for fun such as sports, rock climbing, activities in the PUB, and many more.

Spokane Opera is wonderful!

There's clubs, sports, certain planned activities, and bowling on Main Street. Different clubs put on different workshops during the week for people to attend. There is an ice rink for those who love to skate.

There's not much to do for fun unless you join a club or make your own fun somehow.

There is a lot of events that take place on campus and around Cheney and even in Spokane, which is just a short drive/bus ride away!

EWU has activities almost every night. We have an awesome recreation center that is open almost 24/7. We are also not to far from Spokane, where you can go for great shopping and entertainment.

Football games are always fun. Stay active, go to the gym, run on campus during the spring, summer, and fall. Not so much in the winter. Snow is abundant in the winter, build a snowman.
