Categories Comments Great for these types of students EWU is good for all types of students! Its really ideal for students that are looking for a university experience without spending a lot of money. If you are looking for one on one help or meeting with your professor Eastern has about 24:1 ratio in most classes so you will never have a problem talking to your professor and setting a meeting time if you need help.
Tips for prospective students Get involved! That is so important as a new student coming into the university! There as so many different types of people on campus it is basically impossible not to meet some people that you will not click with.
Bang for the buck It's definitely a bang for your buck! The school is located in a college town! If you feel the town is a little to small you drive on the free way about 20 minutes and your in Spokane the second largest city in WA. If that's not enough about an hour away from Cheney is Idaho where there is a great theme park!
Am enjoying being here I love campus! Football games, basketball game! and a brand new rec center!
Am learning a lot I am learning a lot it especially in the history class I took in the spring. My professor was had a lot on knowledge about the subject and he enjoyed teaching.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students EWU is great for all types of students. Even though we are small, we have quite a diverse population in both; ethnicity and career paths.
Tips for prospective students Just be ready to become apart of the EWU family. The academic advisors are amazing, if you have any questions just give them a call and they can help you out.
Bang for the buck I live a bit further away from Cheney, so I have a 40 minute commute. What I love about being a student at EWU is that you are able to ride the city transportation for free anytime you want. I love how clean and easy the bus system is because it saves me a lot of money not having to buy gas for my gas guzzler.
Am enjoying being here Since EWU is on the smaller side, you really get the individual attention that one would not be able to get from going to a larger college. I also love how beautiful and manicured the campus is. Also, if you need to get away for a bit, Spokane is only 20 minutes away.
Am learning a lot So far, all of my professors have been amazing! They go over the course material in such a way that everyone in the class can understand what is being discussed and be able to apply what they have learned in practical settings.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who like small class sizes, but doesn't want to go to a tiny college would fit in well at Eastern Washington University. Eastern is also good for people who like being in a smaller town, but being close enough to a big city to be able to visit it and spend time in the big city any day of the week.
Tips for prospective students Eastern is not terribly expensive, but it has great academics and a good atmosphere. Eastern allows people to go to school and get a great education while not spending every last penny they have trying to get an education.
Am enjoying being here Although Cheney is a small town, it is only fifteen miles away from Spokane. Eastern also has many on campus activities. These include intramural sports, NCAA sanctioned sporting events, movies, and other fun activities throughout the year. The new rec center also provides great opportunities to work off some stress by playing basketball, running, or lifting weights. The food here is also not bad which is always a plus.
Am learning a lot The teachers here are very good in most subjects. The classes are small and most teachers try and get to know there students. The teachers are also very involved in their work and are in their offices during office hours.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Apply for ANY/EVERY scholarship available, it's free money, and so much better than having to pay it back after college. Apply for jobs on-campus early. They're really flexible with your class schedule for each quarter, and on breaks. You will also have enough time in the day after work and classes to study, eat and chill.
Bang for the buck At Eastern, you're not paying as much as other big University's in the state, and you still get the true feeling of going away for college, and starting something big. However, staying in the dorms is great the first year, but it gets pricey after that. There are plenty of apartment complexes near, and many houses to rent with your friends for the next years to come.
Am enjoying being here I love Cheney, WA. It's a small town that is easily accessible with out needing to bring a car your first years here. However, if you do need something else to do, Spokane is 15 minutes away, and you can take the free bus with your EagleCard.
Am learning a lot The class sizes really help with learning the material. they're small enough to be able to ask questions in class, and have the teacher still hear you from way in the back. The teachers also want to make sure you understand where the concept they're teaching comes from, you they explain things thoroughly.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Eastern is perfect for anyone. While being here, I've seen so much diversity it's hard to say who this school is best for. If you are a human being who breathes air and wants to go to college, this place is perfect for you!
Tips for prospective students I remember most of my high school friends saying that they wanted to go to a big name college, one that was also big in size. The best thing about Eastern is that it's smaller. Every class is within 7 minutes of any place, and you get to know a lot more people. The classrooms are awesome and the campus is beautiful. If you visit, try imagining yourself as a student walking around and living here for 4 or more years. If you can see yourself here, and liking it, chances are Eastern is for you.
Bang for the buck Eastern has the cheapest tuition of any four year university in Washington state! Financial aid and scholarships have paid for most of my schooling, and your advisors are there to help make sure you stay on track to keep that money. Choosing Eastern was one of the smartest decisions I've made. I love the campus, the people, most of the professors, and the community!
Am enjoying being here Though Cheney is a little ways away from my home, the people here are amazing! Eastern is a smaller campus, so there is no way you can go from one class to another without passing at least three friends. The only downside for me is the snow during the winter, but you're almost always guaranteed at least ONE snow day per year! Though Cheney is small, you're only 30 minutes from Spokane, Washington's 2nd largest city!
Am learning a lot College is a whole new experience compared to high school! In and out of the classrooms you learn a lot about yourself, your new community, college, your favorite subjects, and new cultures! The professors here are great, and if you do happen to fall behind, there are many programs that are VERY helpful to get you back on track. And, of course, you can always pull a 4 hour study group with your closest friends in the enormous JFK library.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Science majors and music majors.
Tips for prospective students The math program here is not the best so unless you have a handle on math going for a math major here is not ideal.
Bang for the buck Eastern is pretty cheap and I feel like I am getting a great education and life experience here.
Am enjoying being here I love the feel of campus and seeing the squirrels just running around ignoring the people. The campus is very pretty too. It feels like a home should over here and there are plenty of great people to hang out with.
Am learning a lot There are plenty of great professors here. There are also lots of different options for classes and studies. Some of the classes i took (gecker wise) didn't have a lot to do with anything for my major but they were interesting.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students EWU is great for all types of students. There are so many different majors and minors offered that anyone and everyone can get into a program that fits them. EWU also offers a wide variety of clubs and organizations for students. These clubs and organizations range from religious groups to athletic groups to groups that focus on different hobbies. With all that is offered at EWU, I am confident that every student can find things that interest them.
Tips for prospective students Don't be afraid to be undecided as far as majors go. You really do have time to try out different majors before you have to declare. I finally settled on the third major I looked into and I am so glad I did not just go for the first interest I had because I truly feel like I am going into the perfect career for me. It's okay to try things out before you decide.
Bang for the buck Compared to other universities, EWU is very cheap. However, I still feel like I am getting my money's worth. I am able to participate in many different activities despite the low tuition. The classes are superb, as are the professors. EWU is definitely worth it.
Am enjoying being here EWU has a beautiful campus all year around and I love spending time between classes outside in the sun. There are a lot of places for students to hang out with friends too. This campus really feels like home as everyone I've encountered has been very welcoming and helpful.
Am learning a lot I definitely feel like I am learning a lot at EWU. I am only in the second quarter of my sophomore year but I already feel like I've learned as much as four years of college. The classes I've taken, especially the required freshman classes, have been especially interesting. I am also really excited to begin classes for my major, as I feel I will learn a lot from them.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Eastern is great for all types of students, I've heard great things about all their programs, mainly their education program. But it's also a great place to get a basic bachelor's degree to use to go onto different graduate school programs, whether they be at Eastern or else where.
Tips for prospective students There are so many things that I could tell prospective students, such as get involved in school activities, make sure and touch base with your professors ever now and then, do your homework, etc, etc. But college is about finding yourself and who you are, so the advice I give is worth way less than the advice you'll figure out for yourself.
Bang for the buck In these tough economic times, it's hard to find a college that gives you a good price for the education you receive. Eastern Washington University is a state-funded college, so it isn't as expensive as other places. They also have lots of housing around Cheney for students and apartments are usually easy to find in Spokane. For the most part, Eastern gives it's students what they want and need, a good education for a reasonable price.
Am enjoying being here Eastern Washington University is located in Cheney, WA which is a small college town about 20 miles out of Spokane. I never had the chance to live on campus but EWU makes it easy for students to commute in from Spokane through the bus system. It's a quiet community with a large city not far away, so you can have the best of both worlds.
Am learning a lot Eastern Washington University brings in many different professors from different backgrounds, being a science major, most of my professors are at the University due to research grants. Each professor is highly educated in their specific subject and they have a love for it that cannot be paralleled. That love ended up rubbing off onto me and I became more passionate about subjects I had only a slight interest in before.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who are looking for a *starter* college and considering transferring to a bigger one later on. Students who are seeking a financially feasible college Students who are looking for the small college, small town experience
Tips for prospective students If you're moving from somewhere warmer or that doesn't get much snow, be prepared for the harsh winter. Boots are an absolute must. Also, be sure to participate and freshman orientation, as well as activities your dorm floor may hold. They make all the difference in helping you get socially adjusted.
Bang for the buck EWU is cheaper than most of the bigger state schools, and easily cheaper than the private ones. I highly suggest not living in dorms after your freshman year though. There are lots of off campus options close to the school, that many times end up being cheaper than dorms and the expensive food plans they offer, if you can find a roommate. Overall though, EWU is a good choice if you're looking for a more affordable school.
Am enjoying being here I am in my second year at EWU and greatly enjoy being here. It's located in the small town of Cheney, giving it a really legit college town feel, but at the same time is only about 15 min outside of Spokane, making weekend possibilities virtually endless. The prof's and staff are for the most part friendly and helpful. The only thing that may put a damper on it for some students is the winter. Being right outside of Spokane you can usually expect quite a bit of snow for most of the season.
Am learning a lot Just like with any other college experience, there are amazing teachers who are there to help you almost every day, and there are classes where the text book is a more useful resource than the prof. Overall though, it is a good learning experience. The class sizes are generally on the smaller side compared to some of the bigger state schools, allowing for you actually get to know your profs rather than just being a number. I can say with experience that the computer science program is wonderful. Many of the teachers have real world experience and can not only teach you the content, but can share their stories and job experiences.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Small Campus, Friendly peers and staff, Many activities, great class choices, wonderful living spaces, Great area, beautiful and drastic seasons, Close to Spokane. Any future student who is interested in coming to EWU, I believe you will love it and it will be a great experience! i was nervous at first, but now, i wouldn't want to be at any other University. Its time to start something big!
Tips for prospective students Definitely come visit the campus, it is beautiful! As a freshman, i recommend you live in the dorms, it is a fantastic way to meet people and then its a great transition going from home to there. Then after you can live more on your own. For sure you need to get involved. whether its through a club, Greek life, campus activities. It looks very good on resumes and just feels good to say that you are having an impact on your school. :)
Bang for the buck Compared to many other Universities, EWU isn't all that expensive. Plus the financial aid that is offered with the scholarships and grants, it really helps. There is no way i could pay for college, coming from my background. i am so so thankful that Eastern is able to help me pay for school, knowing that after i graduate i will be able o pay it all back with my successful job i earn from being educated at EWU.
Am enjoying being here The Campus is absolutely amazing, it feels safe and comfortable. It is small, but i love that since i have enough time to get all of my classes on time. I got involved with a sorority, and don't regret it one bit. I have made amazing friends and i love being involved with campus activities and other events. I love the people here, the teachers, the little town. Its amazing! There is not any day that goes by where i don't see someone i know, it is a great transition from High School, you always feel welcome where ever you go and making friends is a breeze!
Am learning a lot Ever since i started going to school here, i have learned so much about myself and what i am capable of doing. Being at EWU, i have done very well in class and am becoming more and more interested in being a Juvenile Counselor for my future career. The staff and students are an excellent help when you have any questions. There is no other place i would want to be.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students First generation college students, those who don't have family financial support, and those who are serious about making their investment worth it.
Tips for prospective students Read the text. Sit up front. Come to class prepared. Come to class! Search out scholarships and apply for them like a maniac. If you live in the dorms, make sure you get the early sign-up bonuses (the more years in the dorms, the bigger the bonus). Make it a point to thank the people who help you (keep a stash of thank-you cards). Extend your friendship to the International Students. Never, never, never give up. & WALK for goodness sake.
Bang for the buck Tuition here is less than anywhere else in the State. The professors here are really top-quality, and their classes are great. Those who teach here really care about their students. The price of food is always going up and the meal plan is a bit quirky, but overall, it works well.
Am enjoying being here This school has a good atmosphere. The campus is small, so you get to know your professors and your classmates, especially if you have more than one class together. It is fun to always be seeing people you know or recognize.
Am learning a lot I have taken as many classes as I could each quarter, in a whole host of disciplines. Some of the classes that I took just to add interest to my schedule became the highlight of my week and helped me to pull through the tough times in my major / minor classes.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students All types really. There is something to do for everyone here. There's Greek life, ROTC, a rather large library and coffee in almost every building. No matter what you are into, there is something for you here.
Tips for prospective students Know that there are lots of foreign exchange students here and they love to talk to people to help them learn English. They are all really cool people though.
Bang for the buck This school is more than half the price of the other school I wanted to go to and just as nice. Its amazing.
Am enjoying being here Its a small town with a big heart. The locals are really nice and everyone is really respectful and being a college town, there is a lot of diversity.
Am learning a lot All my classes are pretty fun and there is usually a spot open in the time you want. The teachers are exceptionally nice and enthusiastic and love to help out a student in need.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for students who want to attend college in a more quiet, rural setting. The campus is just the right size. In addition, Eastern is great for students who are tight on money and need to go somewhere where the cost of tuition is lower. Also, Eastern is a fairly easy college to get into, so you should have no problem getting accepted.
Tips for prospective students Just apply and you'll most likely get accepted without a problem.
Bang for the buck The tuition is very inexpensive compared to most other universities and with your SID card, you can take the bus anywhere for free.
Am enjoying being here It's a nice campus and is not as intimidating as other 4 year universities. All of the professors I have had so far are extremely nice and sincerely want you to succeed. In addition, Eastern offers many different undergrad and grad programs to accommodate almost anyone.
Am learning a lot Most definitely! I just finished my first quarter at Eastern, and my brain almost burst from all of the new information and concepts I learned. It feels great to learn so much.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Pretty safe cumpus
Clubs and Activities I am in club soccer and inturmural sports are always going on.
Great for these types of students Science and math majors.
Bang for the buck A lot cheaper then WSU but the community college in Spokane is cheaper.
What to do for fun There isn't much in Cheney most people go to Spokane for fun.
Food and Dining Has decent food, more variety is needed though.
Dorm Life I don't live in a dorm so I would'nt know.
Academic Rigor Classes are pretty tough.
Tips for prospective students Transfering in with your AA is a lot easier than not having it. It helps the faculty pinpoint where you need to go when you get there and lets the staff help you easier.
In three sentences A nice, quiet university, where the students recieve a decent amount of help from counselours to point them in the right direction.

Am learning a lot In all my classes there is a study group that goes through the class to help making studying easier.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students EWU is great for students who want a good, affordable education in a smaller public university setting. It's great for those who want to try a few new classes to see where their interests lie. The best part, though, is that Eastern is great for the students who like smaller classes, since class sizes are pretty small, especially after the introductory courses.
Tips for prospective students 1. Take AP/IB/Running Start classes. They can help knock out those freshman class requirements and help get you started on your major of interest sooner. 2. Understand the weather! If you don't like to be cold for much of the year, it might not be a good idea to go here, since winter seems to last forever and temperatures during the winter months rarely get above 40 degrees farenheit. 3. Visit! See the campus and get a feel for the city and the school, as well as the students here.
Bang for the buck Tuition is pretty reasonable, compared to other schools. Since EWU is on a 3 quarter system, students at Eastern can take more classes than those on the semester system for the same price. Unlike other colleges/universities, where summer credits or overload credits can run close to $700 (or more) per credit, EWU costs less than $300 per credit hour. Finally, EWU has a new (2008) Recreation Center that serves students very well. With plans to rennovate the Pence Student Uninion Building and build a new residential dorm, EWU is offering its students many facilities with modern ammenities.
Am enjoying being here If you're from a larger city, like me, Cheney is a nice change of pace. It's a small city so you've got that small city feel and look, but its within a 30min. bus ride to Spokane, a much larger city. For those of you who like snow, we get a lot! The winter lasts for a while, but everything that you'd need is within a bus ride and short walking distance, so the snow doesn't inconvenience anyone too much...unless you get snowed in, of course. School wise, all of the professors I've had are very happy to give advice and help to their students, even if it's just a pointer on an essay or an answer to a question from that day's lecture. The professors make it fun to come to class, and really contribute to the good environment EWU has.
Am learning a lot If you've gone to a good high school and taken some college prep classes, some of the freshman introductory classes can seem pretty easy. The GECRs (General Education Core Requirements) are, depending on the classes you sign up for, more or less review classes. My recommendation? Take Advanced Placement or IB classes (or Running Start) in your interests so you can test out of the introductory classes...and get started on what really interests you! Once the classes are in the 300 and 400 level (like some of mine), they become very interesting and challenging to students. One of the good things, however, is that EWU has small classes, so students and professors can really develop relationships with each other and students aren't just a number in the gradebook.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who know exactly what they want to study/do. Students who like smaller colleges and campuses. Students who have taken all of the core classes and gen.ed. classes beforehand.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you get your general education requirements done right away, or even take care of some of them in high school. It is a money-saver to go to community college for the first two years, and you are basically learning the same thing but for free and you don't get the freshman college experience. Be prepared for a small town and for a high-school feel when on campus. If transferring, make sure to know for sure that your credits will transfer or did transfer
Bang for the buck It is not too expensive to go here, which is nice because their program, major, minor, and graduate options are very limited. Also, EWU is going to start cutting out programs, both undergraduate and graduate ones because of financial issues. You get a decent education here, but there are other school that are better.
Am enjoying being here EWU wasn't my first choice but over time and becoming more involved in my major and program, I have become accustomed and used to the area, the buildings, the way things work, the professors, and other aspects of the college. It is small, but creates a close community, especially in the dorms.
Am learning a lot Eastern Washington University has some great programs and excellent professors, but is limited and small. Its curriculum is not too bad but the general requirement classes are pointless and time-consuming in a way.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students I am a dental hygiene major and EWU is definitely worth applying too. EWU have great science professors, so anyone majoring in this field will have an easy time.
Tips for prospective students Definitely come and visit the campus!!
Bang for the buck Sign up for any scholarship/grants available. That is what is paying my way through EWUs tuition. EWUs tuition is very reasonable and cheapest in WA.
Am enjoying being here I love being a student here at EWU. There are many events for students around campus to attend and feel they are part of the institute. The campus is not so big you feel lost, not to small you feel your only a number, but just perfect you notice most faces around campus. The campus being the perfect size, buildings are being updated, enough lights are on at night to feel safe and secure, and you really don't feel like your in a school environment with town houses near. Even though EWU it is located in a small town there is a big city to drive to. You can leave whenever you feel the need to either a city you are used to or stay in small calm town.
Am learning a lot The professors here at EWU are very flexible with meeting their students needs when they are in need with their academics. The smaller class sizes makes it easier to learn and ask questions freely and confidently. There are many study groups for each course that students may choose to attend if needed. The professors are definitely here to teach you what you need for your future careers.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students I think all students would love Eastern. There are over 150 degree opportunities here, and I think anybody could find what they are looking for.
Tips for prospective students Definitely live in the residence halls your first year on campus. It helps you meet new students and make new friends. And also, talk to the University Police Officers here. They are here to help, like talking to students, and are just as much Police Officers as anywhere else in the state, and even go to the same Police Academy. They are an excellent resource.
Bang for the buck This is the cheapest University in the state, and is also the best deal. Some people might say, you get what you pay for, but compared to other schools in Washington, you definitely get way more than you pay for.
Am enjoying being here Being a small town campus, the community is really tight knit. After being here just one year, I already feel like I know most of the people around. I see somebody I know everywhere I go.
Am learning a lot The faculty professors here really know what they are teaching. They have first hand experiences in their subjects, and know good ways to teach the material. The Forensics, Criminal Justice, and Music Programs are probably the best offered around the state.

Tips for prospective students visit their campus and receive as much information as you can get and stay in touch with faculty members here to keep up to date on everything and anything!
Bang for the buck Definitively a school that I considered for the educational level, and price for it! Eastern has a cost that is affordable to a vast majority of the general public!
Will enjoy being here Many of my friends are going here now and constantly talk about the different activities that are always available to students and how much they enjoy all that Eastern has to offer! I cannot wait to join in the fun!
Will learn a lot I am exciting to have Eastern as a prospect for my college search and hope that I can attend here in 2012!

Tips for prospective students Do not take classes in summer!
Bang for the buck It is worth every penny.
Am enjoying being here School is prooving to be worthy. I meet a lot of new intelligent and carreer focused people. Overall experience is exausting but enjoyable.
Am learning a lot Very knowledgable professors and the education track is somewhat challenging. Huge amounts of reading for classes taken in the summer, because the information learning is spread in smaller amount of time. Library is a tremendous resource which can be used in research and reference, also posible to get some textbooks for free (loan from the library or summit). Fairly large amount of clubs and sports activities.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Eastern has smaller classes and good activities to be involved in. Most people want to attend a small school because of less people per class and the campus is very beautiful and every one at ewu is like one big family and they do not care about race, gender or any of that other stuff, they just care about your personalty and educational dreams
Tips for prospective students Work hard and even if it is far away, you will make new friends and become part of the Eastern family and we will support you ever step of the way.
Bang for the buck The cost is the cheapest in the state of Washington and that is one reasons that I picked Eastern. But you make the education you get what you want it to be.
Will enjoy being here The campus is beautiful, warm and welcoming. I will be in some clubs and other activities to make me enjoy going to college.
Will learn a lot They had good programs for almost everything. I will be going to Education at Eastern. All the classes that, I am enrolled in get me closer to getting my pre recs out of the way. Can not wait to start at Eastern in the Fall.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Hard workers, dedicated, involved, school-spirited, fun
Tips for prospective students Show up, mentally as well as physically. Because so many students are returners, or adults coming back for their degree, you need to be a little more mature with them; they don't want to hear about the totally cool party you went to on Greek row.
Bang for the buck I feel like I got a wonderful education without having to spend upwards of $40,000 like my private-schooled sister had to shell out.
Did enjoy being here The school was great, though I had to live off campus due to a bad dorming situation.
Did learn a lot I had wonderful teachers who were really committed to their students, curricula, and teaching in general.

Tips for prospective students Get involved, get on your financial aid early, meet new people right away, and have fun!
Bang for the buck It's the cheapest four year university in the state, and it's the BEST four year school in the state. Nuff said.
Am enjoying being here I live on campus, and I love the area of Cheney, being just outside of Spokane. We get all four seasons here as well.
Am learning a lot Classes are nice, and chemistry never seemed so easy! I also am recieveing attention from every professor I have.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students If you love learning and like to get to know your teachers this is the place for you. If you like small towns and being a part of a community that sticks together, apply to Eastern Washington University.
Tips for prospective students Live in the dorms your first year, even if you and your roommate don't work well together, like mine and myself, it works itself out in the end. Living in the dorms makes sure you meet new people, network for homework help, or mental support, and is proven to help you get to class more often than not. If you live at your parents or off campus you have to put in the extra effort to go to events, meet people, and get up and commute to class.
Bang for the buck As one of the cheapest universities in Washington this school still competes academically and socially with UW and WSU. I know students at both these schools and comparing my experience to theirs, I'd say I'm getting more bang for my buck than they are. EWU has a sense of community and teachers that know your name and want to teach you new and exciting things. I haven't heard anything that good from students at UW or WSU.
Am enjoying being here It's Cheney, a small town that doesn't have much going on. But the town grows on you and the campus always has free events going on, besides you make so many friends, even as a socially awkward individual like me, that it's hard not to have fun.
Am learning a lot There is so much to learn here, not only class room material, but also life skills and lessons. My leadership teacher left the class with a life changing lesson after every class. All of the staff love to help you learn and achieve your highest potential.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Business, sciences, computer sciences
Tips for prospective students It is a great place for business, sciences, or if you are really good at math, mathematics.
Bang for the buck Prices have gone up, but it is still cheaper than most. The technology in the science department is a little old, but for the price, it works.
Am enjoying being here The teachers are enjoyable, as are most of the students. Made lots of good friends my third day of class. You can easily coordinate your classes when registering for them, so that you don't have to run across campus to get to class on time.
Am learning a lot This school is really a fantastic campus. The only down side is the math department. T.A.'s teach the classes while the professor writes the tests, so the test is a lot harder than anything you covered even on the homework. The communication barrier between the T.A. and the professor seems to be lazy. Teachers for biology, African studies, computer sciences all are very well equipped for what they are teaching.

Categories Comments Campus Safety because it is such a small town, the officers are helpful and friendly. on orientation day, they came in and said they would rather have a student call in and say they are too drunk to drive than drive out on their own- the officers said they would help them get home safely if they called. when i fainted from donating too much blood at a blood bank, the head firefighter gave me a lift to my apt and made sure i was on the couch safely.
Great for these types of students for students who want a small town feel for the right price matched with quality education.
Bang for the buck cheney campus has a new rec area (possibly 4 years old) that has a rock wall and ice skating.
What to do for fun i like visiting the parks, kareoke nights, and checking out online happy hour deals because they have food for great prices. spokane also has broadway shows every now and then. many people do the outdoor thing- hiking , snowboarding, etc.
Food and Dining little town and not many places to eat at in cheney- but i do suggest corona village if one wants mexican food!! spokane is only 20 min away and they have some really nice places if one wanted to venture out.
Dorm Life i can not speak to this as i lived in apts.
Academic Rigor it is not difficult to obtain decent grades in undergraduate studies as long as one puts in the time. the professors i've had have all been helpful and open to discussion when a student needs help. i took a lot of health related courses.
Tips for prospective students your learning experience is what you make of it. if in cheney, try clubs and organizations for social interaction. i would rent an apt with someone as it is not expensive.
In three sentences great price for out of state students who participate in wue- instate tuition plus half. cheney is a small area- you enter and exit the whole town in 30 min or less- so if you want something big, this is not the place. on the positive side, it has lakes and mountains that aren't too far away plus a wide range of majors one can choose from.

Greek Life i'm a part of greek life and i wouldn't have as many friends as i do without it! i recommend it highly!
Clubs and Activities im sure they have great clubs, eastern just has a hard time getting the information out to the students!
Bang for the buck great tuition pricing!
What to do for fun sledding, work outs, and going to the games is whats up!
Tips for prospective students it will suck here during the winter months but keep a close set of friends and you will always find something adventuresome to do!
In three sentences the teachers here are great and they push you to your maximum limits so that you can fulfill your full potential. very friendly environment its just a little chilly in the winter and going to class becomes a chore. despite the weather, the teachers still maintain a very positive attitude!

Categories Comments What to do for fun i like to hang out with my friends and watch movies
Food and Dining the food is really good here but can be expensive. if you lived in the dorms you could eat all you wanted because depending on the plan you got you got a lot of money for food.
Dorm Life i liked that you got to meet people and make friends there but the room was small. i didn't like that you had to share a shower and bathroom with other people.
Academic Rigor its hard to manage everything you have and all your work. but just use your time wisely and ask for help if you need it.
Tips for prospective students i would recommend taking running start so you can be ahead of most freshmen and taking ap classes so you can get an idea of how college is.
In three sentences i like it here at eastern washington university because the campus is not that big. i would rate it a 7 out of 10. i also like that it is not that far from home.

Categories Comments Campus Safety great. officers and e-911 machines all over campus.
Greek Life sucks.
Clubs and Activities a lot. there are many to chose from on campus and if you cant find one you want, you can easily make one.
Great for these types of students the kind that want to go to college. this is not a party school.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus the football field is called the inferno because its red! we have light the roof on fire which a bon fire which take place on the roof of the campus buildings.
Bang for the buck cheap school compared to others in washington but still over priced.
What to do for fun play intramural sports, attend games and events.
Food and Dining not as good as a home cooked meal it could be better.
Dorm Life good, but noisy. ca's are amazing! bathrooms are... old. rooms are in god condition and a relatively good size. at least in streeter.
Academic Rigor not to bad. but you wont be able to slide by either.
Tips for prospective students come be an eagle!
In three sentences a great school with nice administrators. (most) teachers love to help their students whenever they can and there is lots of help outside of the classroom. the dorms are nice too but can be noisy.

Categories Comments Campus Safety campus has security, and cheney has the police force that are constantly surveying the field for any troublmakers. if you still have a safety concern then you can take that up with your community advisor who is located on your dorm floor. he or she might be able to file reports, or consult with the your personal wants and needs.
Greek Life the greek life is on a smaller scale to the state schools however you will be served with all of the makings for an at large bid when you decide to rush for this college. you will make more friends than you can count and you will have a fulfillinf experience to say the least.
Clubs and Activities there are numerous clubs from which to choose from it depends widely on your interest level and how you wish to apply that. if you are an avid fisher, then there are fishing clubs. if you love a ferociously active lifestyle then eastern offers running clubs. also if you love to dodge certain situations then maybe dodge ball intramurals would fit you like a glove.
Great for these types of students this school is great for the person who loves to fit in and have fun with a great group of students. you will need to adapt on the run and make new friends along the way, don't be afraid to immediately branch out to break through any social barriers you might be accustomed to. outgoing people who love to flourish in any environment would be my top choice.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus there are a number of religious institutions on campus that offer a sanctuary for higher learning. these meetings offer the student a well needed escape from the everyday rigors one would experience. this also creates a safe zone if nothing else is working for you.
Bang for the buck you get a plentiful amount of bang for your buck. eastern offers a huge step above any community college or trade school by offering programs and focused support for your particular wants and needs. however nothing is handed to you so you make any college special by the attitude and effort you bring to the table everyday. for the half price of attending a state school you wont be surprised at the amount of pleasure you will have by attending this school.
What to do for fun there are numerous activities involved with any institution. however i found that eastern catered to my liking with sports clubs. it is what you are into and you dont have to be a competitive person to have fun recreating. they have outdoor clubs for hiking and camping as well.
Food and Dining the food and dining options available are built for the student, and how you choose is up to you. every type of food is offered in a healthy manner. having a choice is what they truly care about and keeping a balanced meal plan is what eastern offers their students.
Dorm Life never had the chance to experience dorm life, however i was fortunate enough to realize that this is a transition process from high school and that some of your closest friends may not be there for you because of other priorities. overall they enjoyed there experience and both graduated on time because of their decision to take on the added pressures of dorm life. join the dorms!
Academic Rigor the academic rigor that you will encounter will be the same for everybody. however your attitude and a effort is what you can measure, not the score presented in front of you. everything that you earn in life will be out of ones will to survive. keep that in mind when you glance around at your fellow students, and learn to point your nose in the right direction.
Tips for prospective students keep in mind that college is for learning. take advantage of any resources that may sneak you past a stumbling block in the road. tackle any challenges that may be presented in front of you. don't be afraid to put extra time in outside of the classroom, and outside of your normal social function. you may remember your friends, however they do not decide your career path. take advantage of every situation to put your self in the best place possible for future success.
In three sentences rating eastern washington as a whole would be a tough question to ask just one student based on his or her experiences, however i would rate my experience a 9 out of 10. the transition phases that any student goes through are going to be extremely difficult, however eastern's experience in this phase have not been surpassed by any outside sources so far as i am familiar with.

Academic Rigor depending on what classes you take. really look at ratemyprofessor.com
Tips for prospective students come to cheney early to visit and explore campus.
In three sentences eastern washington university is a great school to go to. if you are from a small town, cheney is small as well so you will feel comfortable. the campus isn't too big, but isn't too small so you will feel comfortable on campus as well.

Categories Comments What to do for fun there are many plays and live bands that come to ewu. there are many membership opportunities and affiliations. so many exciting things to choose from according to your likes and interests.
Food and Dining good food to make everyone gain the freshman 15!
Dorm Life raging hormones!
Academic Rigor the academic staff at ewu are full of life and knowledge and care about the success of students. topics are current and curriculum is in line with what's happening in 2012.
Tips for prospective students don't be afraid to ask questions. sometimes you have to go higher up to get results. always ask for a supervisor if your issues aren't being resolved by customer service. always inquire about financial grants, scholarships, and fellowships that you might be eligible for to help offset the cost of attending school and do not have to be paid back to a lender.
In three sentences ewu is a diverse school with a dynamic campus that is set in the beautiful and rural city of cheney, wa. ewu offers a wide variety of pertinent programs that are competetive within today's job market. ewu goes that extra mile to ensure the success of all their students and make education worthwhile.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I like the safety at the riverpoint campus The blus towers in the parking lots have cameras too.
Greek Life Not involved
Clubs and Activities Not involved in any extra things yet.
Great for these types of students The business classes at riverpoint are good for people who work in the day, but it still requires some flexibility because the earlier classes start at 4.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I like attending the Riverpoint campus so I dont have to drive all the way to Cheney from Spokane. But only the business classes are downtown.
Bang for the buck Best priced university in the area. Except the online classes cost a lot more to take than the campus classes.
What to do for fun Use the student ID at AMC on thursdays for discount. Zumba!
Food and Dining Coffee at the Riverpoint campus is alright and they have good sandwiches.
Dorm Life I dont live in the dorms.
Academic Rigor The Business degree classes are fun and exciting. That keeps it interesting and helps me maintain my 4.0.
Tips for prospective students It would've been better if instead of transferring from SFCC I wouldve got the Direct Transfer Agreement.
In three sentences I've been attending for 2 quarters. So far, so good. Instructors at Riverpoint are awesome.

Categories Comments Campus Safety EWU has a small police force, so that's kool. They post warnings on the school website and are seen around the campus a lot.
Greek Life They have good Greek life and spirit on campus.
Clubs and Activities There are many clubs to choose from. I was in boxing club for a season, but I used to participate in the BSU. I learned that the culture of BSU or Black Student Union was more internationally focused rather than centering from a Black American perspective and then outwards to the community though.
Great for these types of students Future teachers and and graduate students. I am in the MPA program at Spokane Riverpoint and its a good program.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Bring a blanket for the football games- it gets pretty cold out there.
Bang for the buck I think we have the cheapest 4 year tuition in the state of Washington. If you can handle the above tips and separate your party life from your academic business then you'll be fine. Adapt to the Eurocentric culture if you are use to some other cultural setting and remember why you're there, to get your degree.
What to do for fun The new recreation center offers local high school and college games in hockey but you can work out in the rec center 7 days a week for free as a student. There are EWU sport all year round for free as a student too and intermurals pick up teams. Clubs and lectures along with other campus activities are fun too. The city of Spokane, Gonzaga and Whitworth are close by too.
Food and Dining There are many kool cafes and eateries on campus- also the eagle i.d. card is also a card that you can use at the some of the local fast food places if you have money on it. Places like Carl's JR. and Subway take it.
Dorm Life I live off campus and it is kool. The dorms are fine too.
Academic Rigor Social sciences are good. Teachers and social workers will like this school. Natural sciences are more in need of better instructors though. Some are good but shop and ask around for the best teachers.
Tips for prospective students Watch and protect your GPA. Use Fast fitness and other 1 or 2 credit PE classes to serve as a buffer for main and core classes that you may have to drop for whatever reason. Pay attention to drop dates deadlines for each quarter and keep your credit at financial aid goal limits, go to the writing center if you need help with papers, proofread and do all assignments at least a day before the due date and buy student manuals and other book tools for math classes online- not through the school, they help.
In three sentences Every other winter was pretty bad but the summers and falls are ok. Academics in history, philosophy and other social sciences rate 8/10. I learned from classmates that math and natural sciences subjects are maybe a 6/10, Mainly both of those are on faculty and curriculum. EWU needs more cultural diversity for a 11k population public university but there are many recreational activities get into in your by-time.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I never felt unsafe at all while attending Eastern. There are always quite a few Policemen around town that are very friendly and personable with the students.
Greek Life I never had the opportunity to get involved with Greek life at Eastern, but I heard a lot from friends and classmates about this Greek Week they do that is very enjoyable and competitive at the same time.
Clubs and Activities I personally had the chance to get involved in a couple of clubs at Eastern that really helped me improve my social and service skills while helping out the community.
Great for these types of students This school is great for students that enjoy working hard and having fun at the same time. It's also really nice to have had some college beforehand to prepare for a bigger and more demanding university.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Probably the one tradition I can remember happens right at the beginning of homecoming week. The recycling center at the school brings tens of wood pallets they collected over the past year and the school puts on a more than exceptional bonfire for students to come hang around.
Bang for the buck I would say the tuition and living expenses a pretty fair. It's a beautiful campus with lots of services to offer students, and you're also close to the busy city of Spokane for nights out.
What to do for fun What I mainly did for fun while attending Eastern is use the University Recreation Center, which is available to all students. If you just want to work out or get a good exercise by playing some basketball, the URC is a good source.
Food and Dining I didn't eat often on campus, but when I did, I was very satisfied. My all time favorite were Gyros from Aladin at the PUB. Off campus of course you have quite a few Mexican restaurants to choose from as well as Chinese and of course your favorite fast food restaurants.
Dorm Life I didn't live in the dorms myself while attending Eastern, but what I heard from friends who did is that they enjoyed it. I lived off-campus during my studies at Eastern, which had it's pros and cons. I was able to feel more independent, but I missed out in respects to being a bigger part of college life by not living in the dorms.
Academic Rigor Eastern Washington University has been well known for providing very good teachers. Actually, a couple of my high school teachers in the Tri-Cities graduated from Eastern. Although I wasn't going to school to be a teacher, I was still very impressed academically with the performance, both by the teachers and students.
Tips for prospective students Don't come to Eastern expecting easy college classes. Although it's not the most competitive University, you're still in college. Just work hard and don't get behind is my advice.
In three sentences Eastern Washington was a great college for my first time away from home. The professors and programs were both very efficient, and I enjoyed them as well. Eastern Washington University made a great student out of me.

Categories Comments Campus Safety the campus is extremely safe, I never hear about fighting or vandalism.
Clubs and Activities they do offer activities and clubs but they are not as well managed as they could be, they could be more proactive, or more a growth experience.
Great for these types of students Great for students who want to focus on getting there degrees and having low loans every year.
Bang for the buck you get what you paid for, low cost for low educational teaching value.
What to do for fun you might find a party here or there but it is a university that is a community college. people there for degrees, and Cheney has no major attractions. Once in a while you get to hear a guest speaker.
Food and Dining Eat mainly off campus for cost effectiveness.
Dorm Life living off campus so I would have no idea
Academic Rigor the studies will test you from time to time but the teachers can suck really bad.
Tips for prospective students I would say visit first, go into the department you think you will study in and gauge the quality of the student body as well as the faculty
In three sentences I find this university is what you pay for. A cheap price for a cheaper education. Other than that the place is fine, nothing really spectacular.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Awesome. EWU has their own police force on campus and there's security towers located all around campus from which anyone can call the campus police for any emergency. I feel very safe there.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus When the PUB Building is really warm, my friends and I discovered that sitting in the stairwell is much cooler. We got a few weird looks and some funny comments, but it was much more comfortable to study in there. And aside from the occasional passing student, we were by ourselves.
Food and Dining I'm not sure what the food is like, but the PUB is a nice place to hang out and do homework at.
Academic Rigor It definitely depends on the professor, I think. Some of the professors expect a lot out of their students, while others don't care too much. In general, the academics are not too demanding, in my experience, but also not too terribly easy either.
Tips for prospective students Get to know your professors. When you start filling out scholarship and job applications, they'll want letters of recommendations from your past professors.
In three sentences It's a nice school, though I don't like that people can smoke anywhere outside on campus. All the teachers I have had are nice, though Eastern doesn't have the best Math department, as a few people told me before I started attending. They do have some super awesome professors in the Education department though.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is rarely a day when I don't run into a campus police officer paroling the campus, making sure everything is safe and sound. They are always giving us updates if something is wrong or we need to be a little more careful. There are also little stations that you can go to if you are scared and need to get escorted or just want to get walked home. They are here to serve, protect, and make sure we stay safe. With that, I always feel comfortable and not as worried with them here on campus. Every dorm has their own specific policeman, which makes sleeping at night a lot more sound.
Greek Life Our greek system here is so much fun. There is almost always something going on every weekend. Some of the events they put on for the whole school gets a lot of attention and a lot of great feedback. While I have not rushed, it's still fun to be a part of the cliche greek life system by supporting them in events, going to their parties, and enjoying what they do for the school.
Clubs and Activities There are a ton of clubs to join here at Eastern Washington. You can even make up your own club if we don't have it here. From drama to science to inter mural sports, there is something for everyone.
Great for these types of students If a student is a very hands on learner and can consume information better in a smaller classroom, then Eastern Washington University is the right school for them. It's not as small as a high school, but isn't as huge as a state school. It's also a very athletic school, so if you are a sporty type, then Eastern is right for you.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is this really awesome tradition for the freshman, it's called passing the pillars. Moments before the procession, the students gather for their class picture. Then they walk through the pillars and up the brick pathway that leads to historic Showalter Hall. Faculty, staff and alumni line the pathway cheering on the students as they begin their Eastern journey. It's amazing and gives you the encouragement that they need.
Bang for the buck At Eastern, you are paying for the foundation of a bright future. The money used ensures that one is getting the best professors, education, food, and campus life that one should endure over the course of a college experience. They do a lot to make sure you are getting what you need in order to succeed.
What to do for fun While Cheney is a small town, it still has plenty of options when it comes to having fun. There are multiple shows, events, dances, etc that the school's ASB and the greek system put on. Along with that, Zip's is open all day and night, there is a bowling ally that is just 1/2 a mile from campus, and when you have friends and an imagination, you can basically find anything fun to do here.
Food and Dining The food here is really good, but can sometimes get monotonous. Swoops and the Roost are the best on campus by far, but Tawanka, the buffet style dining hall, is good for if you want something quick or you need to use meal counts. Overall, the quality of the food is good and the atmosphere is fun.
Dorm Life Eastern's dorms are very nice and accommodating. Of course, your privacy is limited, but in the end you are meeting people and experiencing college like everybody should. As long as you make the most of it, then you'll be fine.
Academic Rigor Since Eastern Washington University is a smaller school, it makes the classes very intimate and you get a lot of one on one interaction with the professors. They are always willing to help and there are tutoring programs here that give you even more opportunities to learn and help. Eastern wants you to succeed and they give you a ton of options to do so.
Tips for prospective students I would definitely recommend that you get out of your comfort zone and get involved with the school. There are so many great opportunities around campus that you could miss out on if you live like a hermit crab in the dorms. Get out there, make friends, and make your college experience a memorable one.
In three sentences Eastern Washington University is such a great school to attend if you are looking for a more intimate and small college. It's faculty and staff are above and beyond when it comes to academics and campus life. The education that you get at Eastern will help you get started on something big, your future.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Eastern Washington University is very big on safety, many procedures and safety tips are posted in various places around the school and they take threats to the safety of their students very seriously.
Clubs and Activities There are many different clubs and activities that you can join. usually they are posted around campus or on the EWU.EDU website.
What to do for fun There are usually posters about different events that go on throughout the year like dances, open mike night and different talent shows you can do to. the school also has a game arcade, a swimming pool and basketball courts. Lots of fun opportunities are available you just have to keep you eyes open.
Food and Dining There are several different places to go to get yourself something to eat I recommend swoops or the pub to any prospective students.
Dorm Life The dorms are amazing but sometimes neighbors can be loud and the hallways can stink up if everyone isn't careful with their trash disposal. The dorms are cleaned regularly though and the bathrooms are always clean.
Academic Rigor Like I said before everyone wants to help you and are very aggressive with the dealings for your future, they want to help you no matter the cost to them.
Tips for prospective students The campus is large so when you get your schedule I would look on their website for a map and make sure you know the quickest route to each class from wherever you will be at. check your student email regularly and when you leave your dorm DO NOT FORGET YOUR CARD!!! take care of your books so you can return them to the book store at the end of the quarter for a partial refund. and when you use the dinning services I would advise printing the schedule so you know what is open on each day and what time they close.
In three sentences Eastern Washington University in Cheney Washington is a college were everyone tries to help you succeed in everything that you want to do. They help you plan out your schedule and have many different degrees in which you can branch out to. The school is clean and offer many opportunities to students to attend social events and entertainment is provided in many different aspects. The dining service is amazing and the housing is equally amazing. That being said I rate Eastern Washington University with the highest rating possible.

Categories Comments Campus Safety While I have been attending Eastern I have not heard of many criminal activities. However if they do occur, the Cheney and EWU police are quick to respond and resolve the matter. The collaboration between the Cheney and EWU police, makes me feel very safe and at ease.
Clubs and Activities Students at eastern are very involved in a variety of clubs and activities. The school offers a variety of Intramural sports for all types of students.
Great for these types of students Eastern is a great school fro students that are determined to succeed in class. Whether you are a genius or an average student, you will find that if you have the motivation to succeed in class and you struggle your teachers will help you succeed.
Bang for the buck With anything in life, you get out what you put into it. While i personally feel that college is too expensive, at Eastern Washington University, I feel that i am getting bang for my buck. I am getting a great education and i don't feel overwhelmed with debt. Eastern offers a general scholarship for students that helps minimized the amount of loans needed. Also i have come to find out that the grants the school offers based on need, are very generous for those that qualify, however students should really stick to the deadlines to received the full benefits.
What to do for fun Eastern recently opened the University Recreation Center. The URC is a full gym with an indoor track, a full hockey/skating ring, basketball court, and rock climbing wall. Eastern also has a indoor pool which is open all year round. Around Cheney there is beautiful scenery. Turnbull wildlife refuge and Fish Lake are not far from campus for the outdoor type of people. Along with some great trail for biking and hiking as well. If a student prefers gaming, Eastern offers two computer labs dedicated to online gaming, which is up to date with latest and most popular games.
Food and Dining The food is like any other cafeteria food, however Eastern recently opened the University Recreation Center with a new restaurant called the Roost. The roost is a show kitchen, that has some really great food, everything is prepared for you as you order it, rather than just picking up food that has been sitting under a hot lamp. I must admit that the Roost is really good and more preferable than the cafeteria food.
Dorm Life When I lived in the dorms i absolutely enjoyed it, the staff are always nice and will to help you transition and adjust to the college life. The dorm stuff puts together activities for the dorm and really try to get to know everyone that lives there. The staff at the dorms i lived in, and from the other dorms as well, strive to make the dorms not only a community, but a family.
Academic Rigor Academic rigor at Eastern varies with the course demands. While your typical 100 level courses aren't very rigorous by design, they still are very useful and prepare you for the rigors of the 200-400 level classes. With that said the teachers are your most valuable assets while in school and will help you navigate the rigors of their course. Eastern also offers academic success centers for students that find classes difficult.
Tips for prospective students My tip to prospective students is to start their college career hitting the ground running. sit at the front of the classroom and go to class everyday, start off with your easier classes so that you may get a feel for how college works and that you don't feel overwhelmed. Do the best you can in these classes as to boost your GPA, since your major classes will be harder. Always ask your teachers for help and keep track of your progress in class. One thing that is very true about your teachers is: if you go to class every day and participate and turn in all your assignments, your teachers will work with you until the end. Breaks are earned not given.
In three sentences Eastern Washington University is a four year University that offers great education for its students. The teacher to students ration is fairly good, with teachers that really care about their students success. The campus is also big enough to have a the feel of a big with while being small enough that it does not intimidate its students.

What to do for fun In Bellevue there are tons of things to do outside of the mall/dining/shopping/entertainment. There are trails and hikes within 20 minutes of campus.
Food and Dining I did not experience EWU dining.
Dorm Life I did not live in dorms.
Academic Rigor I improved my communication skills with my professors. If you're having trouble keeping up with the work, talk to your prof, they are there to help you.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared for upper division classes, they are much more challenging than the first two years of college.
In three sentences I attend class on the Bellevue campus. The times are convenient and the classes are intimate. I am very satisfied with my education here.

What to do for fun Go to the rec center...great place to work out.
Food and Dining Pretty good food for everyone (including vegetarians).
Dorm Life I've heard it is great and very convenient. The RAs are friendly, too.
Academic Rigor Very manageable
Tips for prospective students Like any school, keep up with all deadlines and take the time to interview professors before you take classes with them (if you can).
In three sentences Eastern Washington University is located in a great area: not in town, but not so far out of town. It is very diverse. And, it is a wonderful place to make friends and establish connections.

Categories Comments What to do for fun You can't miss a football game on our red turf. In 2010, Eastern Washington University was the Big Sky National Champions! There is a ton of other activities to do, but the hubbub surrounds the football field.
Food and Dining To say the least-- Wow! The food here is not only delicious, it is affordable. My favorite coffee place is called Thirsty Minds and they have the best bagels and coffee any way you want it!
Dorm Life Eastern Washington University is known for its tight-knit community. People genuinely care for one another and are not afraid to go out of their way to say hi to you. It is nice to be around this environment in the dorm life.
Academic Rigor Eastern Washington University is academically rigorous. However, if you make the effort, professors will bump up your grade because they see that you care about learning and preparing yourself for a future career. Put in the effort, show up to class and care about your education and you will succeed academically.
Tips for prospective students Eastern Washington University is the one and only place to Start Something Big. It is known for being one of the more affordable, tight-knit and career-promising universities in the Pacific Northwest. The professors, counselors, and staff want the best for you and will go out of their way to help you succeed.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Don't stay out past five. Things are also stolen everywhere, so make sure you keep your stuff within sight all the time!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The PUB has an awesome computer lab with GIANT comfy chairs that not a lot of people know about. Top floor. In the back. Way cool.
Bang for the buck Eastern's tuition is going up, but it's still the cheapest in the area--maybe even the state! When all employers care about is the two letters by your name (AA or BA), why pay more when you can get the same thing for less?
What to do for fun There is always an activity going on at campus! There are events during the day in the middle of campus (bands, obstacle courses, speakers), and there are sports and other club events every night. Anyone and everyone can participate in the events even if they're not a member of the group or club. People at Eastern are fun and friendly.
Food and Dining I love the choices of food and dining Eastern offers every day. They have great food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most of the food is reasonably priced, and there are a lot of menu and restaurant choices.
Dorm Life The students at Eastern could use a little help. It's not necessary to party EVERY night. A little fun in college is great, but when you and your roommates suffer from your choices every night of the week, it's not cool.
Academic Rigor Eastern is a low-key college. Your education depends on you. If you are willing to put work into getting a good education and actually read and do your homework, you will learn. If you're not a self-motivated person, Eastern doesn't really care. They will still pass you in classes even if you haven't really learned anything.
Tips for prospective students I would tell prospective students to get as much of an education as you can BEFORE college! The skills you bring with you make a huge impact on how well you do in college. We need to be learning more in our country before college compared to while in college. The skills students are leaving universities with today are the skills they should've had before entering college! Any knowledge retained before college will make life a lot easier while in college.
In three sentences Eastern is a great school committed to a good education and a good experience. They always have activities on campus, and they always offer many classes to help students grow in their knowledge. They really try to make college a wonderful experience.

Clubs and Activities I would say there is a club to join or an activity to participate in for everyone. Some clubs even offer scholarships!
Great for these types of students All types! EWU is a friendly campus!

Food and Dining The food is good and the prices range but there is always something good to eat and at low prices. The hours are also very convenient.
Dorm Life EWU has many different types of dorms that can fit most everyone's personality. I really enjoyed my freshman year in the dorms although you are not required to live in the dorms your first year like other colleges.
Tips for prospective students Eastern Washington University has the lowest tuition rate in the state. They have a really great education program as well as an awesome medical program.
In three sentences The university is very diverse and helps introduce many cultures to its students. Eastern Washington University (EWU) offers many opportunities through it clubs, sports, organizations, and campus activities. The campus in general is not all that big but not very small either, just the right size for me.

What to do for fun You can use the gym, which has many activities in it, like different workout equipment, swimming, running, playing basketball, racquetball.
Academic Rigor You will need to work hard in your classes. It is not like high school. You need to be responsible with you homework and daily assignments.
Tips for prospective students You need to call with questions. Don't put anything off, do it right away. Take a tour of the campus with someone who knows what and where everything is at.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Usually students travel to Spokane for fun activities because it is only a short drive a way and has a lot more to offer than Cheney. Usually going to movies or out to yogurt is apopular among Eastern students. Otherwise, snowboarding during the winter months or heading out to the lake make for fun adventures during the different seasons.
Food and Dining There are not many option for eating through the dining services at school. The majority of places around school are fast food so it makes eating healthy a challenge.
Dorm Life I never lived in the dorms when I attended Eastern; therefore, I have no idea how they compete with other Universities.
Academic Rigor The professors at this school are wide spread. Some of them are phenomenal, while others were hired at random and have no idea how to do their job. Paying for a college education, I would expect the professors to be more top notch.
Tips for prospective students Live in the dorms for at least a quarter to make friends. Join outside clubs to expand interests and meet new people. Take oppurtunities to talk with professors and older students about fun activities to engage in around Cheney.
In three sentences It is an affordable school that is small enough to make close friends, though big enough to branch out need be. On a negative side, because this school is a commuter school it looses the University feel. Eastern is an accredited University so whether it is the best or worst experience you will still be graduating from a good school.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Everything is pretty safe. There's campus police (with emergency phones scattered around campus) and the town Police department about a block away from campus.
Greek Life There are the social Greeks (which have houses) and the Cultural Greeks (historically Black, Latino, etc.) It depends on what you want out of a Sorority/Fraternity, but you can definitely find one that suits you, just make sure to do your research. (And the Cultural Greeks accept all cultural backgrounds, fyi :) )
Clubs and Activities There's pretty much something for everyone.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The Greeks are always having dances and raffles and things like that, which are fun. The best thing is the end of year Luau held by the Hui O Hawaii Club, which has a great dance performance and really yummy food.
Bang for the buck Colleges are getting really pricy nowadays, but if you keep your grades up and do what you are going to college to do (get an education) then it's worth it.
What to do for fun Kick it with new friends! There's the gym, an ice rink, and a climbing wall on campus, and when you have big stretches of time you can drive the 15-20 minutes to Spokane.
Food and Dining Food is okay, pretty expensive if you don't have a points card. Tons of fast food places around, and a really great new Middle Eastern restaurant in town.
Dorm Life All of the Residential Advisers are really nice and involved. The whole system is really good and helping you meet people and being there when you need something. The dorms are fairly comfortable, too.
Academic Rigor Steady amount of homework, but nothing you can't handle if you actually sit down and do it.
Tips for prospective students Bring lotion as the weather in Eastern Washington is really dry. Purchase snow boots with good traction for icy pathways. Talk to new students; everyone is just as scared as you are about meeting new people. Get involved!!
In three sentences EWU has good academics and nice teachers. The gym is really great and fairly new. The overall experience is pretty typical for a small town college.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus police are always around and on alert. I have never felt scared on campus at night or on weekends.
Greek Life Small Greek system at Eastern, but a great way to get involved and stay busy on campus!
What to do for fun Bowling at Rosa's in Cheney is fun and the pizza is delicious. If you want to do something closer to campus, check out the rock wall or ice arena for events.
Food and Dining Some food on campus is better than others, there is the general 'lunch room food' and other gormet options. It is difficult to remember to eat healty when there are hamburgers and hotdogs floating around your head. The smoothies are a must try!
Dorm Life The dorms are unlike any other, Morrison and Streeter are all brick and modeled after a hospital while Pierce and Dressler are giant spheres overlooking the red football field. The RA's are helpful, friendly and have useful tips. The friendly competition between the dorms is always firece.
Academic Rigor Eastern has a brand new athletic facility, complete with a rock climbing wall and ice hockey rink. New buildings are being built all over campus with state of the art computers. Each season
Tips for prospective students Get involved! The more involved you are in campus activities and events, the more people you get to know and the more fun you will have. Classes are more exciting when you know the people you are working with and it makes for some productive study sessions.

Bang for the buck When you first get here, in your mailbox, they give you coupons for Domino's or Carl's Jr. Which is great because they accept your food points card!
Food and Dining Again, if you live in Brewster, its kinda a 7-10 min walk to campus to get something to eat if you are walking. Or go to a local food restaurant. On campus, they have a lot of variety and they try to make it healthy.
Dorm Life Depending on where you live, it can be good or bad. I live in Brewster Hall, which is far from classes and food on the weekends but I have my own room and thats pretty great for a freshmen.

Academic Rigor If you want to get 4.0s in your classes it will take some extra effort.
Tips for prospective students Not renowned for anything in-particular, so if that's what you're looking for EWU is probably not for you. However, it is a school where you set up to succeed from the get go with a close-knit campus and professors eager to invest in their students. I would recommend doing your own research and planning out your 4-year course plan prior to meeting with an adviser or department counselor.
In three sentences A smaller state school focused on the future success of its attendees. Smaller class sizes allow for a more personal education with your professors and a great foundation to make new friends and colleagues. Located in a rural college-town their is plenty to do on campus as well as easy access to the city of Spokane a few miles away and surrounded by the great wilderness of the expansive inland northwest.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Don't make exceptionally bad decisions and you'll never have a problem.
Clubs and Activities So very many to choose from. Lord of the rings and Anime to Kendo and fencing. Or you can start your own
Great for these types of students Great for everyone. You will find a niche and I've never seen a well populated area so devoid of intolerance.
Bang for the buck While EWU is cheaper than most school and you get a decent education, tuition has been rising since I started college.
What to do for fun Campus holds a million opportunities for enjoyable activities. Sometimes you'll have to dig. We have live music in the center of campus almost 3-4 times a year at no charge. Miscellaneous festivals and even on campus trick or treating.
Food and Dining There are multiple coffee shops, a large cafeteria and even an on campus restaurant. They city is small and geared toward what college students need. Everything is in walking distance. walking from one corner of town to the other takes about 45 minutes.
Dorm Life The dorms are very unified. It's just like living with friends: it'll be irritating sometimes and a blast at others. Most people on campus are understanding though. If you have a problem, speak up.
Academic Rigor My first two years were easier than high school. This last year was a bit more challenging. Keep your head up. Study buddies help.
Tips for prospective students Make a friend in each class; they can help you study. Don't study too hard, but don't party too hard either. If you have ANY problem at all, talk to your advisor. They are helpful and caring and if they can't help you, they always know who can.
In three sentences The class sizes are usually perfect, not to big or too small. A majority of the professors are willing to work with you in almost any situation. Campus feels safe and comfortable.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Eastern is one of the most affordable colleges in Washington state. I am so far satisfied with the education I have gotten for the price of tuition.
What to do for fun There are several fun things to do at Eastern. You can go to the Rec Center and go ice skating, or play basketball. You can also go swimming, rock climbing(indoors) or work-out. There are also games to go to and often there are movie nights on campus.
Food and Dining The food is great at Eastern. There are several different options and at reasonable prices. Almost all of the food is cooked on site and is always fresh.
Dorm Life I have never lived in the dorms but I have talked to many students who have informed me that it is very nice. I have seen the dorms and they are student friendly and fun to be in.
Academic Rigor None of Eastern's classes are easy a classes. You have to actually work in all of them. This helps the students that thought high school was to easy by giving them a challenge and students who need help can find help all over campus.
Tips for prospective students If you want a school that is affordable and gives a good education, this is the school for you. Eastern is one of the least expensive schools in Washington state. It also has many different options of classes to take.
In three sentences Eastern Washington University is a school made for anyone and everyone. There are first generation students, full grown adults who want a new start and high school students in running start. The campus is beautiful and not to big. The teaching staff is very understandable and easy to work with.

Categories Comments Campus Safety It's a pretty small town, though somewhat close to Spokane so there is little to no crime. Just be aware of your surroundings.
Greek Life Plenty of, and just enough to get a good taste.
Clubs and Activities Lots. Check them out and join some, it's good school spirit and builds relationships.
Great for these types of students Finish school asap, inexpensive, and flexible school schedule.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I usually steer clear, unless you're the spot-light type, go and do as much as you like, there's plenty.
Bang for the buck What more can I say about a state school education. It's good, just make sure you're on the Dean's list as much as possible and apply early for scholarships, otherwise, everything is due one after another.
What to do for fun Winter, snow sports. Fall and Spring, with rain...read or drink, maybe both. Summer, the world is your playground.
Food and Dining They are some good spots in Cheney, really depends on what you're looking for.
Dorm Life I'm at a satellite campus so work part-time and thats about my life, work and school for now.
Academic Rigor Some classes can be extremely difficult and you may scrape by with a C average, if you're an average intelligence hard working student.
Tips for prospective students Visit the teachers and faculty to understand what background they come from, thus obtainin the grade you want can be easier. More importantly, what you want to do with your degree should be already figured out.
In three sentences Great Locations with flexible class hours. Affordable tution even for international students. Faculty could be better, though for a WA state school, they are satisfactory.

Clubs and Activities Eastern offers many many clubs and activities. I definitely recommend joining a few
Great for these types of students This college is great for anyone
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus You have to visit the football field. The AstroTurf is completely red, which matches the school colors. I thought this was really neat.
Bang for the buck To be honest it is little pricey but you get what you pay for. The staff at Eastern are wonderful and really care about the students. The classes are spot on. I cant wait to go back.
What to do for fun There was a great amount of things to do for fun at Eastern. You can watch a football game, go to the gym, join a yoga class, swim and many more.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus is very safe. There are emergency buttons around campus in case of an emergency. There are campus police on patrol.
What to do for fun There are games that you can attend and cheer on for the EAGLES!!!! SWOOP our mascot is the best!! The dorm halls have times where they go somewhere together which is fun. They went to scarywood and bowling for a free night. Something to do.
Food and Dining I don't really eat at the food courts. But every once in a while I go to the market and buy something there. The food is pretty expensive, but I enjoy it.
Dorm Life I don't live in a dorm. Its nice not having to live on campus your first year in college. But I do have friends who do live in dorms and they are pretty sweet!
Academic Rigor Academics here are fairly good. I havent had my final yet. Im just a freshman, but I know that the professors are there to help you in any way they can. They want you to do good, so use them to help you out.
Tips for prospective students It is a great college. The students seem to be really into the sports. The red turf field looks very cool. That one of the reasons why I chose to attend here. The campus is really nice. It reminds of a park. There are squirrels that run around but its a beautiful environment to be around. You would really enjoy it!!!
In three sentences Eastern Washington was my first choose of attending. I didn't think I would be accepted but I did. It is expensive to come from out of state, but I am working on that with scholarships, grants, and hopefully not too much loans. I love the college.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Greek Life I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Clubs and Activities I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Great for these types of students Main campus is good for traditional students. Satellite campuses are great for students who's lives restrict them from moving to main campus. Online classes are also available for many courses.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Bang for the buck I'm getting a BA degree and do not have to pay to move from my home to earn my degree nor pay excessive travel costs; thanks to a satellite campus close to my home. Satellite campuses pay a higher tuition rate per credit because the university does not receive federal subsidy money for any student not at the main campus.
What to do for fun I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Food and Dining I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Dorm Life I live on my own near a satellite campus. Dorms only exist on the main campus.
Academic Rigor My instructors are very knowledgable about the subject matter, have a great sense of humor and are sensitive to the fact that students have lives outside of class.
In three sentences I really appreciate the knowledgable instructors. I am fortunate to have found a university that offers classes at locations in addition to the main campus. Classes are offered in multiple formats and at multiple times of day as well as times of year.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Thanks to the small town mindset the crime rate is pretty low. You could wander around after midnight and not worry about being harassed.
Clubs and Activities We have quite a few clubs but be careful constant budget changes have certain clubs coming and going without warning.
Bang for the buck This is a very cheap university and for what you get it's not too shabby. Just don't set your standards too high.
What to do for fun If you are an outdoorsy person there is no limit. A 15 minute walk and you'll be out of the city in the deep woods along abandoned railroad tracks or walking alongside free range sheep. There is a wildlife reserve about 10 minutes drive from the campus. There are also a few bars and karaoke nights.
Food and Dining The food is not great and if you chose to be in a dorm you will be required to purchase a food plan. The campus food is grossly over processed and the restaurants leave something to be desired. If you want to dine out or do grocery shopping I would highly recommend you go into the city.
Dorm Life The living arrangements are painfully small with the freshmen dorms being the equivalent of a jail cell. Incredibly overpriced you are far better off finding an apartment complex down the road or along the bus route.
Academic Rigor There are few teachers when you get into the higher level classes that will push you to explore for yourself. But for the most part you do what's on the syllabus and you get a good grade. Some textbooks though recent editions still have outdated information or old timey ideals.
Tips for prospective students They're aren't too many opportunities to meet people so sign up for a club or activity right away. It helps to be an outdoorsy kind of person as there are plenty of mountains and cool places to hike. There isn't much of a nightlife.
In three sentences A good general university for a cheap price. The teachers are pretty easy. But don't expect too much it is still located in the middle of a little farming town.

Tips for prospective students Be prepared to work for the grade you want! College is about learning how much dedication you want to put into your education!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Super impressed with the campus safety. The town is just a college town, but still has a police force, and then the campus itself has a crew of 12 cops that are just on the campus. Then there are several cadets that assist the police force on campus. Also they have stations where there is a place to hit a button, and if you are nervous to walk home in the dark or feel unsafe, a police officer will come walk you home. Campus safety is impressive!
Clubs and Activities Many different clubs and activities depending on what you are into!
Great for these types of students Those who want to be close to home, and who live in Washington.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is a red football field!
Bang for the buck I expected more for the money I'm paying.
What to do for fun You can walk around campus, go to the rec center, go to a sports game, or join one of the many clubs that are on campus! You can also go into Spokane, which isn't very far.
Food and Dining Mainly fast food options but it is all really good!
Dorm Life They do not tell you that the dorms are split based on class rankings. The floors are supposed to do stuff together, and they don't.
Academic Rigor It's a great school, it challenges you and the professors are always around and willing to help you!
Tips for prospective students Make sure that you ask specific questions about what exactly you want to know. And ask around before you apply to the dorms.
In three sentences It's a very pretty campus. The staff members are all very willing to help. It's a really nice school.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Just voted the safest college campus in Washington.
What to do for fun The best thing to do for fun is to go into Spokane. It is a twenty minute drive from Cheney. It has everything. Malls, restaurants, and anything else you might want. Also don't forget to go to the sports games. The football games area blast, as well as the basketball and hockey games. Lots of club sports too. Lots to do without even looking to hard.
Food and Dining Lots of places to eat on campus. Coffee stands are all over the place. Lots of great places to eat in Cheney too.
Dorm Life I never lived in the dorms but from what i have heard dorm life at Eastern sounds great.
Academic Rigor I have definitly been busy with work since I have been here. I would say overall though it is not bad. You have the choice to stay on top of your work or to fall behind. If you just do your work you will have no problems.
Tips for prospective students Take a foreign language in high school or you will have to take on here. The semester system can make it harder to graduate so pay attention to when classes are offered. If not you might be stuck here a while. And last just be ready to have fun.
In three sentences It is a fun atmosphere with lots to do on or around campus. All of the professors are very helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Spokane has lots of fun things to do, but there are on-campus clubs, recreation groups, and concerts often.
Food and Dining The food is tasty and there is a wide variety available (including vegetarian options) but it gets pretty spendy without a meal plan.
Dorm Life I haven't lived in the dorms.
Academic Rigor I haven't found the classes too difficult if you put in some time with your books and notes.
Tips for prospective students Bring winter clothes - it gets colder than you think. Ride the bus, it saves you hassle, money, and mileage on your own car. Use your print credit each quarter because it's free and it doesn't roll over. Take a tour when you get here so you know where all the labs and classrooms are.
In three sentences The school has excellent resources for those willing to look for them in areas of academia, financial aid, mental health, and career preparation. Tuition includes a free bus pass (integrated on your student ID card) for any destination for the entire quarter - it really reduces the stress of commuting and paying high prices for gas. The campus is rated the top safest public university in Washington State!

What to do for fun EWU has activities almost every night. We have an awesome recreation center that is open almost 24/7. We are also not to far from Spokane, where you can go for great shopping and entertainment.
Food and Dining Food is great here just don't eat at places every night because you will get tired of them. If you come to visit eat at the Roost!
Dorm Life It has its ups and downs... If you like quiet places I would suggest not living on campus and if you can handle noise and do work through it then you are set.,

Food and Dining There are a lot of different places to eat on campus, the food is good, and the places are relatively close.

Dorm Life The dorms are fun for a while then it gets a little boring but as long as you can find something to do you will be fine. The CA's are great. There friendly and willing to help with anything they can.

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities Clubs offered at Eastern range in variety. There's language clubs, bible study clubs, mental illness clubs, and sports clubs. All in all, there's a match for each student.
Great for these types of students Student who live close by Cheney and don't wish to venture too far will find this college right for them. If you like quiet towns, you will like this. Students who enjoy being a part of many clubs will like EWU.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus We have orientation week for freshman for the week before school, including the big football game against our rival.
Bang for the buck EWU has the least expensive tuition in the state, making it a good choice for those concerned with the cost of college.
What to do for fun There's clubs, sports, certain planned activities, and bowling on Main Street. Different clubs put on different workshops during the week for people to attend. There is an ice rink for those who love to skate.
Food and Dining On campus, you have many options for dining. The food ranges from pizza to orange chicken and all things in between. My personal favorite is Tawanka, the buffet. On campus, you always have great food options.
Dorm Life I recommend the dorms because they're convenient and fun to live in. You get to know people on your floor and make new friends. You even plan movie nights and dinners.
Academic Rigor The rigor depends on your major and the amount of courses you take in a quarter. Typically, they say it''s 1-2 hours of studying for each class, depending on what you retain in class and your study techniques. So far, the workload hasn't been too bad.
Tips for prospective students Remember to fill out the general scholarship application. Remember to do it one time. You never know what offers you might get.
In three sentences EWU has great teachers who truly love the classes they teach. The food is great, the dorms are amazing, and I get to be part of a bunch of clubs. Being a college town works to the benefit of the school's quality.

Dorm Life I cannot give any insight here, as I am part of an off campus cohort.
Academic Rigor Work hard, enjoy what you are doing and show interest. As mentioned before, ask questions! This shows that you are interested and want to know more, not that you want to know what must be known to pass the class.
Tips for prospective students Don't be afraid to ask questions, though be sure that you have already looked in hand outs, including the syllabus for answers. Teachers want to see you succeed and it is evident; they also want to see you earn the grade you receive.

Food and Dining The food is fairly good, but isn't very healthy.
Dorm Life The dorms were pretty nice, but small. They're good for your freshman year so you can meet people and get to know the campus.
Academic Rigor The academic part isn't as difficult as you may think; being sure to go to class everyday and not getting behind is the tricky part.
Tips for prospective students Don't miss a lot of class because the teachers don't care if you fall behind. You have to be self motivated and get your work done on your own time.

Categories Comments What to do for fun EWU is located in the very small town of Cheney. The most popular thing to do for fun is simply hangout with friends. You learn to make your own fun when you live in a small town. There is also the city of Spokane about 15 minutes away which is much larger and has things like movie theaters and malls.
Food and Dining There are about 6 dining options on campus that all have average food. Most of the dining options have more unhealthy food choices than healthy ones. So beware of the freshman 15!
Dorm Life I lived in Pearce Hall my freshman year of college. It was a good experience and a great way to meet people. However, most students as well as myself choose off campus housing options after their freshman year to save money.
Academic Rigor Academic Rigor really varies dependent on your major and the types of classes you take. The classes in the math and science departments are notoriously very difficult. The classes in the business, marketing, and communications are known to be fairly easy. Also, I found the general education requirement classes to be very easy.
Tips for prospective students I would recommend contacting a current student who is working toward the same major you are interested in. There is a lot of advice current students have to offer that can really help you in your college career.
In three sentences Eastern Washington University a school with a strong sense of community among the students. With smaller class sizes and professors who clearly love what they do, it is easy to get extra help when you need it. I am overall glad I am happy with my decision to attend EWU for three years.

Great for these types of students EWU is great for First generation, internationall students, non-tradition, disabled, commuters students.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Some of the tradions here at EWU is that we walk through pillars that students back in the day used to walk through as they were getting to campus from their train ride.
Bang for the buck I have had a wonerful experience thus far. I am an Associated Students of Eastern Washington University Superior Court Associate Justice, an Intern for the EWU Office of Admissions and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, I was an Orientation Leader here at EWU I know I wouldnt have had the opportunity to be this involved elsewhere.

In three sentences The campus is huge, but everything seemed easy to find when I was visiting with some of my high school. It looked like there was stuff going on all over the campus and I'm looking forward to attending in the fall.
