You can rent boats, paddleboards, windsurfers, and a bunch of other equipment and go out on the water. You can hang out at the beach. There are activities and parties all the time. You can just swipe your card at the basketball court 24 hours a day and the lights will come on and you can play. They had a nice soccer field. The gym was a little small, but fine. Our guide said he didn't have a car, and he didn't have any issues, but I would think you would want one. There is so much to do in the area (if you had any free time left) like take a road trip to Disneyworld or go to St. Pete beach, or visit other parts of Florida. There are so many things to do, I think the hard part would be forcing myself to study.

As it is on the water, the waterfront provides a lot of different activities to do. So long as you can prove yourself capable, you can take out a sailboat or a kayak and hang out in the bay. There is also an area where you can swim in the ocean. Furthermore, south beach provides a nice area to simply relax and get a tan.

10 minutes in one direction leads to the beautiful St. Pete beach and farther down are more white sand beaches. In the other direction is the bustling city of St. Petersburg and a little bit farther is Tampa. The possibilities are endless, but honestly, with a beach right on Eckerd campus, you'll be hard pressed to leave campus.

The beach. It's the closest thing to going to school on an island.

Just about anything you would want to do at a resort or at camp is available either on campus, or nearby. From climbing the Rock Wall, to playing sports, sailing, kayaking, scuba, or just hanging on the beach, we have it. You can even study for your finals by the beach, in a hammock.
