Eckerd College is a very small liberal arts school in St. Pete, FL. The best part about attending a small school is that the class sizes are smaller, which enhances learning. You actually get to know your professors (which are all very helpful) and they get to know you. All my professors are more then willing to help during their office hours and really try to help you succeed. Eckerd College has an exceptional Marine Science program right on the water front with a hands on approach to learning. Eckerd is also very focused on having well rounded students...

    Eckerd is a fantastic place! If you want to major in marine science, this is where you need to be. If you want to be a doctor, there are better programs out there.

    Eckerd College offers and encourages participation in a wide variety of international experiences. They promote community service and interaction and have both an Emergency Response Team, and a Search and Rescue Team. It is a Global College in an ideal setting.

    This school seems to be suited towards individual education. None of the classes are taught by TA's and they all seem to be relatively small. if you are willing to pitch that extra money in i believe this college will impress you.

    Eckerd is in a fantastic location for marine science, has a beautiful campus, and is a small and intimate school. It has parties for those that are interested, but it's easy to find friends that don't party so much if you don't want to.
