Around Town

Edgewood College is in the heart of Madison WI. It is just blocks from Camp Randall Stadium where all the home Badger games occur. It is also a short bus ride or 20 minute walk from Capital Square and State St.

Madison is a great city to live in and there is never a dull moment. There is music, sports, and recreation to engage in anywhere within the city limits. There are plenty of parks and bike trails for the outdoorsy person.

Expect to leave campus for entertainment. Because the campus is dry, there are generally only college-approved dorm parties. Most college students of age crawl bars on the weekend, others attend the diverse music and art venues, and dine on native fare. Edgewood is right on the Arboretum and lake Wingra, so fishing, hiking, biking, running or walking is easily accessible.

There is a boardwalk behind the school that boarders Lake Wingra. Edgewood provides free kayaks and canoes for students to enjoy fun summer activities. Also, Edgewood is five minutes from downtown Madison where you can enjoy lots of shopping, dining and site seeing.

Madison is a great town there is plenty to do. There is a free zoo in walking distance and tons of nature trails around the campus. There also is great nightlife in Madison.
