My biggest tip is don't get stuck at El Camino. Plenty of students get stuck and never leave. Don't be one of them. Set goals and responsible. No one will hold your hand so you have to be a strong individual. If you didn't get a class, go sit in until the professor adds you. It's all about who wants it more when it comes to classes even though most students drop.

Be sure to pick a schedule that you are comfortable with. If you need help with finding your way on campus or even tutors to help you understand your classes, there are people and resources available.
