The food is good and you have 4 choices in the Campus Center, but the repetitive menu gets boring at times. There is the main dining hall with a salad bar, hot food line, and deli line. You can also order from the grill. There is a restaurant-style room downstairs where student workers will wait on you. Next door there is a late-night venue with pizza, fries, and chicken tenders. Upstairs is a more expensive restaurant to eat at when you have extra money on your meal card. There is also a convenience store upstairs in the Campus Center where you can buy most drinks and snacks with your meal card.

Nothing is better than home cooking however, Elmira does a fine job in supporting everyone's needs. For example, my roommate is vegetarian and she is able to find lots of different variates for her to choose from. There is also four different places on campus to get food from, which gives the students a wide range to choose from as well.

Vegan and gluten free options are not as abundant as the growing population needs them to be, but the school is becoming better at giving more options.

Our dining services are actually among the better of the options I have seen at other schools. There is always plenty of options to choose from and the dining hall staff is very friendly.

Elmira College has three places in which students can enjoy a variety of foods. There is Mackenzie's, which is a pub-style restaurant that has sandwiches, salad, pizza, chicken tenders, pasta and more. The 1855 Room is a wonderful place to enjoy burgers, hot sandwiches, calzones, and the coffee bar has Starbuck's coffee. The main dining hall has more options than I could ever list, and everyone can find something that will make their mouth water. It is definitely possible to eat healthy on campus, but there are also opportunities to treat yourself to something not-so-healthy but delicious!

We don't have sororities or fraternities but I like that, it makes for a less separated community.
