I have learned a lot through the required freshman courses. Freshman writing has taught me a lot about writing that I didn't learn in high school. Encore has helped me to broaden my view on music and performing arts. Community service has taught me that helping others can be very gratifying.

    As the student to faculty ratio is 16 to 1, you are able to feel more connected in the classroom. The people are all friendly and the school spirit is high. If you want the professors to know you by name and help you when you need it, this school is for you!

    Elmira is academically and aesthetically pleasing. It offers great one-on-one with teachers and has wonderful academic, sports, arts, and more programs. Many changes are in the way right now, making the school to be even better very soon!

    Elmira is an overall great college to attend if you are looking for a small and comforting campus. The majority of the people (students, faculty, & administration) are very friendly and willing to help with anything you may need. While the course work is often fairly difficult and really tests your knowledge as a college student, you can always rely on something being held during the weekend to help alleviate that stress and to just have fun.
