Categories Comments Bang for the buck i work part time from my home right now. i am looking for a scholarship to help out. at this time i am unable to work out of my house i have not found any daycare's that will accept my children due to there behavioral problems.
What to do for fun i am a mother of 2 young disabled boys that i love to play with and teach new things.
Academic Rigor everest is very organized, i have completed my first term so far and learned alot of new study skills, writing skills, and about management.

Tips for prospective students do exactly what is required of you to complete your studies. treat everyone with respect and you will get respect in return. don't flirt with the teachers or staff, remember they are there to help and are professionals. treat them as you want to be treated.
In three sentences the teachers are awesome and the staff is very helpful with whatever you need or have a question about, anything.

Categories Comments What to do for fun the learning environment is fun all in its own. i have walked by classes and seen students in class laughing and enjoying their classes, my class is great because i get a massage and give on everyday.
Food and Dining you have machines to get food from, but other than that, there is no cafeteria or snack bar. usually everyone brings food from home.
Dorm Life i still get to stay at home and enjoy campus life in comfort.
Academic Rigor the work is hard, even with repetition, but they do break things down to allow the information to sink in. the ease of class gets better through the weeks. as for massage therapy there is repetition even at the end of the course for what you learned in the beginning of the school year.
Tips for prospective students as long as you keep up with the work all the teachers are willing to help you even with the simplest things. they are always ready to help individual students and even allow peer counseling/help with your classmates.
In three sentences i enjoy everyday of school. i have achieved a much better gpa than i thought i would, especially for how hard the course is compared to what i thought i was going to learn in massage therapy. so far i have learned what the muscles and bones in the body do whenever someone is sore and how massage therapy can manipulate the muscle to remove discomfort and help ease long term pains and even resolve them.

Food and Dining there is a pollo tropical and a wendy's and a zaxby's near were i go to school.
Academic Rigor i fine in this department.
Tips for prospective students the only tips i have for prospective students is that to pay attention in class and do your work and you will have a good grade.
In three sentences i like this school because in each class there are only a small amount of students in a classroom. the teachers here break everything down to a level that you will understand. this is what i like about everest university.

Categories Comments Food and Dining i am an online student only. i am sure the food and dining is adequate.
Dorm Life i am an online student only. i am sure the dorm life is adequate.
Academic Rigor the materials that we learn are kept challenging, but the professors are there if you need help, there are also other ways in which you can receive help, for example tutors, just talk to your advisor and she/he will be able to provide you with some help in that area.
Tips for prospective students make sure you keep up with your reading, stay involved with your class discussions and turn your homework in before saturday at midnight.
In three sentences this is my first year attending everest's online and i must say that i really enjoy the classes, i will definitely continue with my education here. the material is very interesting and the teachers make it challenging. the different types of adviser's let you know that they are there at just about any time that they need you, that makes it feel great to know you have that added support.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students -Not well with lecturing -Needs extra help or tutoring -Likes smaller classes
Tips for prospective students You wont regret being here.
Bang for the buck Everything is pretty much worth it however sometimes some of the teachers make you think if they are worth your payment just because of their different ways of teaching. Books are included in financial aid so its no need to really pay out of pocket, I liked that the most.
Am enjoying being here I love being here, everyone is very friendly and it is small school so everything pretty much gets along with everyone. The teachers make it enjoyable and it has food and drinks for when we need a break or something.
Am learning a lot I am learning a ton here! All my teachers are teachers that have been in my field of interest and always have the answers I need. They've also been in the field so they know what they are talking about.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students I believe the types of students for this college would be ideal if you really want a career instead of a 9-5 job, more career opportunities, more money & are serious about furthering your education. Furthermore, the ones that want to do this for themself is going to build their own self-esteem.
Tips for prospective students For the future student I recommend this College because they are not a drive through college. Where you drive though & are forgot about during & at the end. Here you will be comfortable throughout & ready to enter the work force with the skills you need. If you are having any difficulties the staff will walk you though step by step before, during & after you study.
Bang for the buck At Everest there is real work experience. For example, 200+ hours, enhancing for career placement services by real workers who came from the work forces. I am set up for the potential job everyday as I attend.
Am enjoying being here Because at Everest they understand what it takes to prepare for a new & exciting career. They have hands on training in the real world work environment.
Am learning a lot Just starting into this college & I'm learning the difference between having a job & a Career. Information very helpful!

Categories Comments Great for these types of students The school is great for any student who is willing to put forth the effort to attend and do the work assigned. The class sizes are small and there is more of an opportunity for one on one help from your professor. They also offer tutoring for Algebra and Writing.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to get your required classes (ie Intro to Paralegal) done 1st. It will save you a lot of headaches at a later date.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus has several security guards that are always willing to escort students to their cars.
Greek Life This would be the ambassadors club. They are always available and willing to help.
Clubs and Activities Everest has an ambassadors club and a group of students that do fundraisers and food drives for students that need the extra help.

Greek Life none
Clubs and Activities none except for the ambassador program for students who have good grade and good attendance.
Great for these types of students hands on, fast paced, students who want to into the nitty gritty, and would want to finish in less than 9 months.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus don't have one, but a tradition i would start is to go visit every store and restaurant around the area to see which one i like the most.
Bang for the buck it is kinda costly, but i think it's worth the pay, because your going into something that will bring all that money back into your pocket.
What to do for fun to go visit the many stores and restaurants around the area and the mall that is practically next door to the college.
Food and Dining their are a lot of restaurants around the school to go to.
Dorm Life their are no dorms located on the campus, but their are some apartments around.
Academic Rigor make up in your mind that your education is worth it. because it may not be what you are expecting. it is costly, but the school will help you out. it is all the way out in merrillville in.
Tips for prospective students -everest is a very good hands on school. -the people their are very helpful and nice. -the class hours are good. -their are a lot of great opportunities available.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Anyone who wants to earn a degree in the prescribed amount of time. IE, two years flat for an AS degree. Not the typical two years and some change for the same degree.
Tips for prospective students I do like Everest-Brandon, but don't expect a huge college atmosphere live style. Everest is great for those who want to go to school and get the job done quickly. It take great focus, but it is possible.
Bang for the buck The education is pretty good overall. I didn't realize that the school is only Nationally Accredited though. The cost per credit hour is a bit much for the accreditation. Still I do love the fact that semesters are only 12 weeks versus 16 weeks. However with that we don't take long breaks in between either.
Am enjoying being here Everest University-Brandon, FL campus is not bad at all. The staff tries to get all students involved with different actives and makes being a student there pretty fun. However, this is not a big campus at all. This school is more suited for those who do require a ton of activities to feel like they belong.
Am learning a lot I believe the course are laid out appropriately for the intended majors. The course subject and material are all up to date too. To though, it is the teachers who make the learning process easier and fun.

Tips for prospective students Be ready and willing to do the work. You have to stay focused and willing to give up some of your personal time. But it is well worth it to get the education you need to get a great career
Bang for the buck Collage is expensive! If everything works out and I am able to get the job I plan on it will all be worth it.
Am enjoying being here I love the school. I was nervous at first considering I am a little older than the average student, but it is great. There are many other older students.
Am learning a lot So far I have learned a lot. There is a lot of information to cover in a short period of time but the teachers are great and willing to help during off hours.

Am enjoying being here I really enjoy my instructor and peers. The school has a very welcoming and unintimidating atmosphere

Greek Life none
Clubs and Activities none
Great for these types of students everest is great for the single parent wanting to get a better education to improve career opportunities or the working parent who wants to go back to get their degree, also the student who has been out of school a while and deciding to go back. if any of these people sounds like you then everest is the place to go.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus i do not live on campus sorry.
Bang for the buck yes, i think that for what is being offered and the future opportunities that come along with it, education is well worth it
What to do for fun i like to read and play board games like scrabble and things of that nature.
Food and Dining the food is great there's nothing like a home cooked meal
Dorm Life i go to school online, i am a working parent-student.
Academic Rigor i wouldn't call it rigorous more like a steady pace that if not maintained you will find yourself left behind. that is way time management is very important and key to academic success.
Tips for prospective students the hardest thing for me that i found out the hard way is time management. make a schedule and stick to it, ambiguous study habits can lead to inconsistent grades and could cause for a future employer to overlook you for a job thinking that you a under achiever.
In three sentences i think that everest is a very good school with a lot of good programs to offer. the teachers are very helpful and their are plenty of online resources to help the student along in a number of areas. i think that this would be the perfect school for the working parent trying to go back to school or just looking to improve their careers.

Categories Comments Campus Safety As I have said before, I do not live on campus, so I would not know.
Greek Life There are no sororities or fraternities that I know of as of now.
Clubs and Activities There are not many clubs run by the school, but there are lots of awards being given out.
Great for these types of students Students that have children, work for living, don't have the time to attend a normal college campus, and are strapped financially.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The academic advisers make sure to stay in touch. If you don't contact them, they will make it their personal job to contact you.
Bang for the buck Everest definitely encourages taking your time, but you can learn that your own pace while paying a flat rate for tuition.
What to do for fun I love to read. I write a lot. I play a wide range of musical instruments, and I love a good and challenging political debate.
Food and Dining I also cannot speak to this either. I prepare my own food, on the pretense that I live in my own home.
Dorm Life I cannot speak to dorm life as I attend college while living in my own home.
Academic Rigor The faculty and administration of Everest College are that of highly sophisticated individuals with very colorful backgrounds. They really try to relate to the students and are very compassionate and driven by what they do.
Tips for prospective students There are many tips out there from many different students with many different goals and achievements; but if I had to make one recommendation, it would be to make sure you take at least one part in every day to learn something.
In three sentences I am very fortunate to have come upon an institution such as Everest College. They are excellent in their technique approach to learning. I feel very honored to have been chosen as part of their student roster.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students single mothers, people continuing their educations and people who enjoy non traditional classrooms
Bang for the buck It may be a little more expensive than community colleges but it offers online classes for people with families and full time jobs so there is less chance of missing classes
Food and Dining I do not eat on campus. I am a single mom so I have my meals at home
Dorm Life I do not live in a dorm.
Academic Rigor It not too tough as long as you use your time management skills
Tips for prospective students Keep in touch with the admissions adviser frequently until you actually begin classes. Make sure to express your desire to explore electives so that you have the opportunity to choose them and they are not just assigned.
In three sentences Professors are eager to assist students. They have a great online tutoring program. Enrollment can be a little complicated.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Everest University is located in South Orlando, Florida. So you can go to a dozen plus places and have fun!
Food and Dining Pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, are great! Everyone that is young and don't cook, there are some of the best fast food places aound. The coffee houses are great as well.
Dorm Life I am an online student with Everest University, but I hear to stayon campus is a plus and everyone is so friendly. and are there to help first time students find their way around the school.
Academic Rigor The standards are set high for the students at Everest University, only because the advisers know that their students are capable of reaching goals that they have set for them.
Tips for prospective students If I was a new student trying to attend this school, I would tell them its best to do online courses if you have a family and a career already. It is also so good to attend this school if you just can't handle the traditional classroom setting. I really enjoy my online courses with Everest University Online. They make it so convenient and easy for you.
In three sentences Everest College is a great college, I am so glad that I was introduced to this school, I have amazing student advisers and they go above and beyond to be sure that I have everything I need while taking my online courses with them.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I do feel safe in this school I belive thats also important.
Greek Life People are their selves. You would defenetly fit into this school no matter where you come from or what you belive in. Everyone is respectful.
Clubs and Activities A lot of fun and great clubs and activites you can participate in. You can also apply for volunteering work or apply for jobs in the same school your going to at the same time.
Great for these types of students Any type of degree or diploma you choose to persue, would be a fun and easy way to earn them here so it would make the students feel more confortable being there with teachers and classmates.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus What I like about Everest is that once you begin school here you actually learn everything you need to know in school because they teach you everything from day one. And thats what I love. One of the best things about Everest would be that right after you get your diploma or degree Everest actually helps you find a job right after graduating !
Bang for the buck Love it !
What to do for fun You can do so many different things for fun in Everest.
Food and Dining You get to choose great food in this school.
Dorm Life Feels just like being home.
Academic Rigor Its Great !

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Non-traditional, workers, parents, etc. This school is great for the person who needs a flexible schedule!
Bang for the buck The big thing on campus is getting our future graduates to cross the stage and go on to a job in their respective fields. How many other colleges can tell you they have a 100% job placement (or even 99%)?
What to do for fun Hang out, and attend the different clubs and organizations offered on campus. One such organization I am involved with is the business/accounting club. We are not all about the numbers, but how to help our community and have fun doing it!
Food and Dining There is a food court at the Largo campus, however it is vending machines and the lighting is poor. I do not use it.
Dorm Life I live with my family off-campus and am not sure if on-campus housing is offered.
Academic Rigor The instructors require attendance and participation during class in order to gauge how well we are following the material. Homework is a must and study groups are quite helpful. Even the department chairs do study groups and tutoring.
Tips for prospective students If you do not know what you are looking to go into the college advisers are quite helpful in narrowing down the alternatives to a manageable few. Just ask. You will never know the answer until you do.
In three sentences The staff at the Largo Campus is extremely helpful and are all focused on our impending graduation. They do not take students, but future graduates! So far this has been a very caring institution.

Academic Rigor As far as acadmics it's great I would give it two thumbs up. The academic advisors are willing to assist you no matter the problem. If they don't know they will get someone who will.

What to do for fun Fish, apply for scholarships, enjoy portability of connecting to classes.
Academic Rigor The pace is fast with only getting a one week break between semesters, yet very doable once a good routine is adjusted into your personal life.
Tips for prospective students Though it is an online course, assignments are due every week. Participation does factor in on one's grade and plagiarism is shunned.
In three sentences Support staff is very helpful with all process' of attending online courses. The instructors are very proficient in their course(s) in which they teach and diligent in responding to student concerns. The environment is quick, yet at my own pace and works well with my schedule as a parent.

Great for these types of students great for students who love hands on and interactive learning experiences.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus we have something called clap line, where we all line up and clap for all of the graduating students as they come down the hall.
Bang for the buck the tuition itself is relatively well-priced, and it's completely worth it.
What to do for fun the most fun aspect is the hands on part of the program where you get to practice and be practiced on by other students.
Food and Dining there is no food provided other than vending machines, however we have occasional pot lucks and a great break room with all the necessities.
Dorm Life there is no dorm life, but if there was i have no doubt that it would be wonderful.

Categories Comments Campus Safety there is always a security guard on duty, but most of the criminal justice teachers are either former police officers or current police officers so there is always a high level of safety on campus.
Clubs and Activities i personally do not have time to attend any club activities but i have heard good things from my class mates.
Bang for the buck the teachers here are more than willing to help with you if you have any questions and will usually be willing to be used as a reference on job applications.
Food and Dining there is a student lounge with vending machines, but not a lot to choose from as far as food goes.
Dorm Life no dorms.

Great for these types of students all types of students would benefit from everest online. it is very convenient since you can do the classes at any time.
Bang for the buck everest is with you for life, helping you prepare for graduation and helping you find a job afterward.
What to do for fun don't forget to have fun! you make some great friends, even if the classes are online. everyone is helpful and encouraging. they are going through the same things you are so they know when you need to take a break and let loose.
Academic Rigor the classes are challenging and keep you working toward your goal. many of the classes i take online, someone i know is taking the same ones at a local college/university and they have difficulty. i find the instructors to be knowledgeable in the classes and very helpful.
Tips for prospective students don't forget to take time for yourself! many times we get overwhelmed with work, family, and school and neglect ourselves. the advantage with online classes is you can do the work anytime so the best thing to do is set a schedule for you school work and stick with that schedule.
In three sentences everest instructors are there for you, to answer any questions you have, give you tips or advice on assignments, and to help you with any questions you may have. the staff has always been very helpful and, if they don't have an answer to a question, they find out asap and get back to you. the online experience has been great! the classes are easy to follow and access.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I rate campus safety 5 stars, although I attend college on the weekends because I am a busy mother of two. There are not as many students that attend on weekends, we have great security officers who are constantly patrolling the campus area and keep an eye on things. They also can help if your car battery is dead or something else is wrong, they do what they can to help you out and are very nice.
Great for these types of students Students that have an easier time with hands on learning and for students who have a busy life as this college does everything they can do to help you get around this to go back to college.
What to do for fun Another great benefit of being a student at Everest College; you get free dental cleanings, free fillings, free dental x-rays provided by the dental profession there at the college. Their massage therapy classes also provide great discounted massages for any student enrolled at this college. These are great things to have available. Things you can do for fun would be: going for walks downtown by the water is very calming and peaceful. Going for a cup of coffee with friends a few blocks from the college is very nice. Watching parades go down right in front of the college is absolutely fantastic to watch. There are many businesses around that can teach you how to make things. For example at this college, right across the street there are classes to teach you how to blow glass. These are just a few things I know of so far I have been in school for just a short period of time.
Food and Dining At Everest College they have plenty of vending machines in the school as well as a deli area for food and drinks that are quite good. I rated this a 5 star because of the college's location. The area is very close (walking distance) to any nice restaurants as well as fast food and other smaller food and drink stores. Having all these necessities close by make things a lot easier for you.
Dorm Life At Everest College there are NO dorms here. Housing is completely off base. I gave this a 3 star, because people who live with their family prefer it this way then being separated from them. Although some could prefer being in a dorm so they are closer to the school.
Academic Rigor At Everest College, their set of standards are amazing. They are not just their to teach you because it is their job. When you are there, it feels like the teachers want to help you in every way possible. They have smaller classroom sizes so they can help each individual. They not only help us with our studies, but if we are ever having troubles with anything, they are they to listen. They try every way possible to help you in a way they can. They teach you hands on training as with study books. The hands on training they teach you helps a great deal. They are there to see what you are doing is done correctly and show you how you can do something better or another alternative.
Tips for prospective students Come prepared with the books and supplies that are requested. Get an adequate amount of sleep and make sure to eat right before starting class. Do not get overwhelmed by the work at first, it seems like a lot, but if you do it one step at a time and pace yourself it will work out.
In three sentences I had just started attending college at Everest and so far it has been amazing. The faculty and staff are so nice and are constantly wanting to help you. Having hands on training helps and is a great way to learn how to prepare you in the field.

Academic Rigor I am not sure. It seems to be a very hands on program in which they really hold the student to a high standard.
Tips for prospective students Check all your choices and make sure you are making the right decision for your life and budget. Sometimes you just have to step out on the water and do it.
In three sentences I love the enthusiam for new and attending students. They seem to really want you to succeed and have avenues in place to help you.

What to do for fun I exercise almost every night. This is my relaxation method.
Dorm Life No funds available so unable to stay in the dorms.
Academic Rigor I have learned so much going to school. I just wish there was more funds available to young adults, like myself, to further their education. I currently have a 2.97 gpa.
Tips for prospective students Check all of your options. Talk with some students at the colleges you decide to apply to.

Bang for the buck I honestly love this school they have updated technology and that makes it a lot easier to learn the intense material that you need to. Also the cost of what ever program you go into seems to be cheaper then other schools. I love how the vending machines accept cards because I don't carry cash
Food and Dining there are a lot of restaurants around the campus so you have your selection of what you may want anything from mcdonalds to applebee's
Dorm Life there are no dorm rooms around the campus but there are many apartment buildings around that offer specials for students that makes there rates about the same as a dorm room would be
Academic Rigor the classes are very intimidating at first but the teachers make it easy to learn and break it down to where you can understand it. The challenge is great but the teachers make it as easy as possible
Tips for prospective students I would highly recommend this school the people you meet there truly care about you and your success I have been to other schools that just treat you like a number or a bank this one however does not. This school is great and if you choose to come you are making a wise decision

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is a Security guard on duty at all times, hes always looking you in the eye, to make sure you know hes paying attention. I have never felt unsafe here.
Great for these types of students For people who maybe made some mistakes previously, and are ready to fix there life, or just people who work better in smaller groups. Classes are never larger than 12 students, so there is a lot of 1 on 1 help available.
What to do for fun From what I understand they have activities all the time, the ambassadors, have had a blood drive, BBQ, egg hunt, since I enrolled in middle of March. Each department also has there own activities, there is a law fun night, they go bowling, and outside activities like that.
Food and Dining There is just a little lounge with a couple machines and tables. Cozy and friendly like the rest of the building.
Dorm Life This is a career college so there is no dorm life, but there is a whole department devoted to helping you when it comes to housing, rides, and survival jobs.
Academic Rigor I have been at this school for 12 short weeks, and already have a very good understanding, on subjects like accounting, and business management that I never even understood before. The instructors are like miracle workers, they manage to have everyone participate, and understand what they are lecturing on, and it has never once felt like a lecture.
Tips for prospective students If you want a career in the Medical, Business, or Criminal Justice careers, just go in and talk to the awesome people in admissions, and from there you get all the things they can give to help you succeed.
In three sentences I went into Everest College-Thornton, just to pick up some info, and I left enrolled, and feeling like my life was actually starting. The instructors are kind, helpful, understanding, but most of all knowledgable. For the first time in my life I have confidence, and can hold my head up while walking down the street, I honestly don't think I would have found this anywhere else.

What to do for fun They have organizations in the school that you can get involved in and keep you active also all the clubs look good your resume.
Food and Dining Like the dorms they don't provide food you have to pay for all your food.
Dorm Life They don't have dorms you have to find a place but the nice thing about it is you can find a place close and for cheep.
Academic Rigor The academic is hard at the nursing school its also time consuming, but it will be worth it in the end. Just got to remember to study all the time everyday
Tips for prospective students The number one thing i can tell new students coming to the school is, study, study and study it will help you out. Also always listen to your counselor, they go out of there way to help you get into the school so you also need to put some effort out toe.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I just finished battling cancer. Because of this battle I was not able to walk in graduation which took place February 2012. My daughter contacted the school and they will allow me to walk in the graduation ceremonies in July. I think that is really awesome.
Bang for the buck The staff has been amazing. I was originally having trouble getting a loan and the financial staff really came through. I completed my AS degree in Accounting in January 2012.
What to do for fun The college has many ongoing activities and is very active within the community of Tampa, Fl.

Categories Comments Food and Dining Food and dining accessibility on-campus and set prices are fairly reasonable. Normally, there are multiple menu options and the variety and quantity received for the price are equally proportional.
Dorm Life Dorm rooms are available and the facilities are well-maintained, clean, and safe.
Academic Rigor There are student expectations and requirements as with most colleges. Everest holds sound policies and procedures that are exceptionally understandable. Tutoring and webinars are offered to any student who wishes to add toward improving scores and knowledge that are of no additional charge to the student and come highly recommended.
Tips for prospective students First and foremost, research more than one school so that options can be narrowed down rather that forceful. Stay honest and think about your interests and talents and take into consideration any goals you have set for yourself so that a choosing a major becomes less difficult. Contact administration and ask questions, discuss the majors offered and your thoughts, even schedule a visit for a tour, and talk with the financial aid department.
In three sentences On a scale from one to five, one being poor quality and five being of extreme quality, I would rate Everest College at a five. Not only does this college express great quality through the amount of its available resources and its diverse faculty, it prides itself on the fundamentals of being able to teach students in virtual retrospect, but in doing so encourages them and helps them every step of the way, reminding them to strive and drive and the success will follow. An online college is fairly new but because Everest offers this along with on-campus facilities and exudes high quality the levels of reaching any number of goals toward success increases.

Tips for prospective students Do not trust the student advisors or financial aid advisors. I have had supervisors admit to me that the people that answer the phones there are not trained.
In three sentences It is a good school with people that want to help. Their people need more training over the phone, but the teachers seem to know what they are doing. It seems to be an excellent online school.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Everest College has security set up right by the doors. I always feel very safe at school. Security is constantly walking around the school to ensure there is no one in there that should not be. They stop by each of the class rooms and make sure everything is ok. Its very comforting to know that I can be safe while in this school.
Great for these types of students If a student is looking to get a career in the medical field, accounting, or business area then I think that Everest College is one of the best schools available to those students. The medical program is phenomenal. The other programs really help you to understand the detail of what goes on in those fields.
What to do for fun Everest has a program called the Ambassadors. This group is set up for students to help other students with a variety of things such as tutoring or even just learning their way around the school. The Ambassadors organize exciting events to help get students involved at school.

Academic Rigor Everest College is very adamant about academics. They make sure that you are achieving your fullest potential and enjoying it at the same time. Everest and its teaching staff make it their number one priority that all students are educated to their fullest capacity. They really care about making sure you understand the material.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck If you take one class in a semester, or several, the semester will cost the same, so if you can and are able to complete more than just full time (three courses) in a semester I urge you to do that. In the long run you will finish sooner, and is more cost effective.
What to do for fun Whatever I want, since I am taking classes online, and I am not restricted but course schedules.
Food and Dining I do not physically go to the school so I wouldn't know.
Dorm Life This had to be ranked but I do not live on the dorm since I take classes online.
Academic Rigor I am attending classes online, so I do not know for sure if the actual facilities have this but, I know that other colleges have assessment test. I wish I could have taken one of those, it could have possibly reduced the classes that I have to take.
Tips for prospective students If you work hard and can take on more than three classes per semester, go for it, you will save in the long run.
In three sentences This school is not a scam. It can be expensive, but at the same time it does save you alot of money if you are diligent, and work hard. I will hopefully be graduating with my bachelors in the spring of 2014.

Clubs and Activities I am not aware of any clubs or activities currently in the college.
Great for these types of students Students who are older, (like myself), students that like small class sizes, students who like hands on teaching, students who like one on one teaching by instructor.
Bang for the buck With college books and the majority of all materials included in your tuition, you definitely get more bang for your buck. Not having to worry about out of pocket expenses lets you focus more on your studies and less on your finances.
Food and Dining There is no dining, snack machines only.
Dorm Life There are no dorms.
Academic Rigor Having been there a full semester now I am finding that the academic rigor is nothing that my mind have led me to believe. Like anything else though in life, the more you put into it the more you get out of it.
Tips for prospective students Don't be afraid and let your mind tell you that you can't do it. Be willing to make the sacrifice of study. Set up a schedule for your study time and stick to it, put your education ahead of pleasure time. You will have plenty of pleasure time in life.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are several security guards on campus and they always check for ID. Knowing that there are extra security measures on campus helps you feel more at ease with the growing danger of our resent society.
Clubs and Activities The clubs and activities are very diverse and depending on your time and interests, you will definitely find something that will suit your needs.
Great for these types of students This college is great for people with families, kids, 9 to 5 work schedules and always on the go!
Bang for the buck The college is over-priced and require that you take out a lot of loans but the quality of the professors is great none-the-less.
What to do for fun The student lounge is a great place to hangout inbetween classes and meet your fellow peers for some fun and relaxation. You can also join some of the clubs on campus and further enrich your experiences!
Food and Dining There are snack machines in the student lounges and some of the clubs on campus do different events each month, so there is always something different to try and look forward to!
Dorm Life That I know of, there are no dormitories but the locations are convenient and easily accessed.
Academic Rigor The information the classes offer are insightful and the professors offer real-world experience that a textbook cannot.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to take a tour and learn about the programs offered. Keep your options open and plan what schedule will best suit your needs.
In three sentences In terms of quality, I love the way the classes are broken down and convenient. The smaller class structure and flexible hours are wonderful for people who work or lead a full life. I would greatly recommend this college to anyone who is always on the go!

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I haven't heard of any yet, nor seen.
Food and Dining I have not had the opportunity of eating and dinning here to answer this question properly.
Dorm Life There is no dorm life, since students don't live on campus but it's not much of a problem.
Tips for prospective students Just because Everest is a non tradition school don't undertake it. Take the time to check it out you might be surprised, and end up liking it a whole lot more than planned.
In three sentences I haven't begun school here yet, but I will next week. The environment seems very friendly, as well as the people. The building is not big which I like because, it is easy to get around. Everyone just seems to know what there doing, and I like that.

Greek Life none
Clubs and Activities Student Ambassador - helping tutoring other students and/or grade school, middle school or high school students. Also help with fund raisers, helping students with financial assistance and even with life choices.
Great for these types of students self-motivated, highly intelligent and wealthy
Bang for the buck I personally feel that I was seriously overcharged. However, one positive is that this school will provide free training and obtaining of a GED to anyone that desires achieving one. There is no cost and no obligation. They DO of course hope that once you have your GED that you will attend one of their campuses as a regular student in a career field.
What to do for fun become a student ambassador! it's a great experience and you can help others.
Academic Rigor My homework is generally seven to ten or more assignments per week. We have more than 15 textbooks to cover in 32 weeks. Each chapter is anywhere from 25 to 45 pages of text and more than 80 questions per homework assignment. We have four days to complete, then take the tests on day 5 of each week. Very rigorous, I really don't know how the students that have children and/or jobs along with class are doing it. I had a 4.0 gpa from 7th grade to HS graduation and I made the Dean's list both semesters I attended a traditional college; and I hate to admit it, but this class is a struggle for me because as I stated, before, most of the work we learn on our own.
Tips for prospective students Do yourself a favor and check out at least three different schools in your area before signing up for classes. Make a list of what you are expecting and ask questions of as many people affiliated with the school as you can. If you are someone that can learn from reading textbooks, then a career school would work for you because of the hours of the classes and the short duration of most programs. If you need a structured learning environment, I highly recommend a traditional college or a community college
In three sentences I really wish I would have done a little more research before signing on the dotted line, the tuition is $20,000 for an 8 month course plus 5 week unpaid externship. We really are teaching the course to ourselves, I literally know more than my teacher, we receive one hour lecture time per day, the rest of our 20 hour week is doing homework in class. I'm disappointed, but found out what it was really like after it was too late to withdraw and go elsewhere.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The safety here on campus is huge. Whoever walks in must check in at the front desk, all doors around the campus are locked so no one can get in.
Clubs and Activities There is a club also known as the Ambassadors, who are students that plan charities that raise money for the people who are in need on campus. They also do barbecues, breakfast, they have a donation place and all of that sort.
Great for these types of students This place is great for the people that love to do hands on things, the people who like a little bit of the fast pace and what not.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Some traditions that I thought were a bit unusual was this get together called Potluck which is at the end of the month where you dress professional and bring in food and everyone just gets to enjoy their day.
Bang for the buck Everyone at Everest College is like one big family.
What to do for fun If you are not going to school for something that you love and love doing then it won't be fun. If you love doing things hands on then this is the place for you.
Food and Dining There's plenty of fast food places, restaurants, and even a mall to go eat at. Most of them 5-10 min. away while driving.
Dorm Life The dorm is not what its cracked up to be but you don't need to experience a dorm life to get the whole college feel.
Academic Rigor The rigor at this school is not too soft or too harsh, it is just right. They give you a little push for you to do better.
Tips for prospective students Do not think that once you walk in through the doors of Everest college that you will be alone. The Faculty will help you get through everything step by step.
In three sentences Everest College is not your typical career college, It's a place where you learn more about what you are pursuing on doing. The students and faculty here are like your second family and this school is like your second home. Throughout your journey here, you'll see that you're not alone, this is a great school.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus We are right next to the ferries! It's really a beautiful spot looking over the water, most places don't get that opportunity.
Bang for the buck Different loans to apply with, or if you have a history with military, financial aid is available for those who qualify.
What to do for fun Enjoy lab, talk amongst students.
Dorm Life No dorm.
Tips for prospective students Stay ahead in work as much as you possibly can. Always ask fellow classmates or the instructor with any questions you have, there is no such thing as a dumb question. And just have fun and enjoy what you're doing!

Greek Life I can not rate this, as I am doing all my learning online.
Clubs and Activities I have not joined any online clubs at this time, so do not feel I can comment on this.
Great for these types of students If you are a student that wants to get ahead, but is not sure how to do it. Can't afford on-campus living, doesn't want the distractions of campus life, but still wants the communication with fellow students, and needs the flexibility of class time due to family and work constraints, ... then this is the college for you! Your introductory classes help you to organize your time so that you CAN go to college, take CARE of your family and keep working to PAY the bills. It's a Win Win - if you have the desire to do it.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I can not rate this, as I am doing all my learning online.
Bang for the buck I have to admit that I was skeptical about doing online classes, but now that I have 2 semesters under my belt, I find that it is the best thing that I have ever done. I have found a few people that are in more than one class and it makes the class discussions very active. It is also great to see them excel, give them the extra oomph when needed, and get the extra oomph from them - when I need it. The professors are totally behind you getting the best out of the class and do not make you wait to get an answer to any question. In fact, I have a few that are willing to follow me through the rest of my degree and answer any questions that I may have. It's almost like being on campus, but without the driving time.
What to do for fun Getting to know my fellow classmates during our class discussions and team building projects has been a lot of fun. Also, knowing that I can go to school at anytime, morning, noon or night, and do not have to leave my house is an extra plus. I can listen to music and not distract my fellow students. I can even go to class in my p.j.'s.
Food and Dining I can not rate this, as I am doing all my learning online.
Dorm Life I can not rate this, as I am doing all my learning online.
Academic Rigor Everest College online meets all the requirements that I need to get my Associates in Accounting and to go forward to get my Bachlor's degree, either with them or any other college that I wish to transfer to.
Tips for prospective students If you have the yearning to go farther in your education, and you have the dedication to make the time to do it justice, despite all of life's distractions, then this is the college for you. You have specific advisers that you can go to whether it be about;: classes, teachers, finances, or just plain frustration. They will always listen, and give you a positive viewpoint to go forward.
In three sentences I would rate the school as a highly motivating online college. The instructors and staff are all pulling for you 100%. Iif you have questions or feeling overwhelmed - they take the time to ensure that you are able to complete the task that you have set for yourself.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students If you are a person that likes to work on your own, for the most part, then this is the environment for you. You may seem like you are alone, but really you're not. You get advice and help every step of the way, but you can go to class any time that you want.
Bang for the buck This is the only school that I looked into that offered both books and a computer with the tuition. The tuition was the same amount as a several other schools, but those schools did not offer these extras. I also didn't feel comfortable with the advisers at those other schools. Those school representatives didn't put me at ease live Everest's representatives and advisers did.
What to do for fun This is an online school, so there isn't a physical place that you can go to, but you are able to stay in contact with classmates through email. You can visit any online place that you want to.
Dorm Life Not applicable. Online school.
Academic Rigor Instructors are there for you every step of the way and give you plenty of help and advice. This is an online school, but there are many great tools at your fingertips. Class schedule can be full, but doable. It's in your best interest not to skip weeks; you could miss key information that sets you up for the next weeks class work. Classes can be jam packed with work, but very informative. You learn at a faster pace than a normal campus class. You get great feedback from fellow classmates and instructors.
Tips for prospective students Take full advantage of the tools offered by Everest. They are there to help you every step of the way. Stay in contact with your student adviser, they can help you with all of your questions. Stay on top of your classes, even though this is an online school, do not be fooled. You still must participate and be active in class just like any campus based class. If you don't, you will not get the grades necessary to get your degree.
In three sentences The enrollment process was made very easy by my enrollment representative; she answered all my questions, and was very knowledgeable. Financial aid adviser took me through the process of acquiring aid, from start to finish. Student adviser keeps in touch to make sure that you are getting the most out of your time with Everest and that you are getting the most out of the tools that are provided to you.

Dorm Life There is no dorm life for me because I take my courses online. They do have a main campus in South Orlando, Florida!

Categories Comments In three sentences Everest College is a very deceptive school, when I first enrolled I was given false information and was lead to believe that I was enrolling back into Everest University not Everest College. They are not an accredited school which makes it hard to get employment after graduating from Everest. The tuition fees for attending Everest College are outrageously high compared to other online classes by almost 40%. Furthermore, for these reason I would seriously look into Everest College if you plan on attending, I would not recommend this school to anyone.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Phoenix is the valley of the sun and it lives up to its name. The sun is always shining with hardly ever a cloud in the sky. That leaves students the possibilities to go swimming or play recreational sports. The nightlife is just as fun with local bars within walking distance and friendly people always looking to have a good time.
Food and Dining Phoenix is a large city with endless places to go and limitless things to do. Not far from the college is Downtown Tempe where many of the college students go to hang out and socialize.
