    Make sure you speak with an advisor about potential classes; the catalog is not always easy to understand, and classes are sometimes offered every other year.

    You should always do your homework, even if you don't want to. Doing your homework will show the teacher that you're trying and it will help your grade as well. Don't come here to just party, nothing comes good out of parting 24/7, one in a while is OK as long as you're getting stuff done as well. Don't be lazy, get out and walk around the campus, get involved in activities. Get organized, you will have assignments due at different dates, so keep up with them and you'll be a star.

    -Bring as much entertainment as possible -Pack as snacks as you can -Make sure the tution is something you know you can pay off, as this college plays dirty when it comes to money -Make sure you live within at least an hour of the college, as getting a ride is hard -Brace yourself for the country life

    Have.....A....Car....Its essential, the only thing in walking distance are the dollar general and the DQ, other than that, you will be stuck, I had a car on campus and I still did not like it. The closest thing is an area called Rocky Mount which is about a 25 minute drive...most people go there to tan and go to walmart...that is about it...the real mall is in Roanoke, about an hour drive away from Ferrum
