Come prepared. Make sure you keep up with test dates, study, and plan ahead. I have a mini calendar that I keep so that I can write down important exam and project days. Ask for help. Just about every student is friendly and willing to help. It is also a great way to meet people. You can even form a study group with people in your class, that way you can get help from others and help them out as well. Also, a great way to meet people is by going to the Student Center, which has games, music, bean bags, tables, pool tables, ping pong and video games.

Know up at least 3 things you really enjoy doing, and know you will do well in. Keep a list of all the classes you will need to complete your degree and stick to it. Seek advising, and ensure they are meeting your list needs. Do your homework! Do all your research about the college, curriculum, and electives you really want to get into. Don't go over your 90 credit hours, stick to a plan.
