When you come here, you must be alert and ready to learn. This school is perfect for you, if you like one and one interaction. The classes wont pass 50 students. Professors are always available, the student center will always be watching your grades. They are there to help with any type of homework or classwork. I am learning things for my major and more.

This is a professional school for students pursuing STEM majors and wanting to take as many specialized courses as popular. This college has almost everything you need on campus and allows you to just focus on your studies/research. Also has a Fast Track program allowing students to receive a Master's degree after only 1 year in a graduate program.

FIT is a great school for engineering. It is not a liberal arts college. It is a highly ranked and valued college.

This school has a lot of hands on research. Class sizes are small so teachers actually know who you are. The material is challenging but useful.

If you choose to go here and are accepted, and your heart is set on walking across that stage (diploma in hand); if you're brilliant and quirky and you shine in a differen kind of light; if you're a tinkerer, a messer-of-particles, a star-gazer, an all-nighter-puller, a hard-worker, a I-won't-sleep-until-I'm-ready-er; if you enjoy a challenge; then, it's perfect for you. You'll meet amazing people; you'll do great things; you'll even surprise yourself. It'll be difficult at times (grades, money, friends, family, LIFE), but it's most definitely worth the tears, the sweat...the weather...being beaten by waves: DO IT.

Florida Institute of Technology is a private school, with generally smaller classes, usually great professors (minus a few here and there) and amazing internship or undergrad research opportunities. However, it is not all sunshine and rainbows; it is a private institution and therefore exceedingly expensive and nothing is ever free on campus. The school has the words technology in the name, however, lots of the lab equipment is outdated and very few professors, at least in the biology and psychology departments, rarely use any technology besides a computer for PowerPoint.

This is an excellent college with professors that have had real work experience in their degree areas. The campus is beautiful, with a sixteen acre botanical garden for students to explore. The job placement rate for the college is also very high, averaging at 95%.

Florida Tech is all work and not much play. The beach is 7 minutes away and Florida tech is manageable drive to some major cities around florida. It's small but you get to know everyone.
