The Chemistry and Math department are very good. All the material in Chemistry is covered and the professors are exceptional. In the Math department TI-83 calculators are not allowed but on the plus side Professors such as Ada Monserrat help you to be a better mathematician.

    Without a doubt I would give FIU 5 stars, hands down! The warm atmosphere and friendly people pull you in and warm your heart. Florida International University is the epitome of multicultural diversity and is well known for being worlds ahead.

    Student population is heavily latino/hispanic. The University is always under construction. The bathrooms are always clean.

    Florida International University has everything you need in one campus: gym, different types of foods, all the services possible! This school is very cheap compared to other schools but the education is still of quality! FIU is where it's at!!

    FIU provides a diverse atmosphere for its students and faulty/staff. Availability to get from shops outside of the university is a little difficult, Miami bus system tends to be unreliable. Getting in touch with someone (who knows what they are doing) when you need assistance is a challenge.
