Around Town

Hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, tubing, skiing, anything outdoors is right at your front door. Hiking trails lead up to the campus and just about everywhere in town. If you're an outdoorsy person, the Fort is perfect for you.

More than you can think of. Durango and Fort lewis has tons of outdoor activities. The area is known for its world renowned mountain biking and there is a river that runs right through town that has white water river rafting

Hiking and skiing.

Join a club sport, get involved with the band, choir, or theatre departments. Go down town and walk through the stores and shops, visit Purgatory Mountain to ski and snowboard.

Outdoor Pursuits offers a lot of activities to do in one's free time: I took a class on learning to snowboard and had a lot of fun and met some new people. I know that there are cafes and tea houses in town that you can go to with friends that are usually pretty fun.

Play outside! Skiing, biking, hiking, rafting, you name it. Fort Lewis has an awesome Outdoor Pursuits program to make it all possible for you.

There is so much to do for fun, but only if you like the outdoors. They play a new movie though every Wednesday which is really nice though.

the students in organizations put on weekly movies and activity nights to ease the study pains. its fun, free and sometimes you win free stuff! around the holidays the school sponsors holiday related activities as well!

There are a lot of things going on on campus and in town so you never get bored.
