Categories Comments Campus Safety Always security around the school , everywhere.
Great for these types of students late bloomers
What to do for fun Take a walk in the courtyard, or just look out the school widows at the beach , its a wonderful calm , relaxing school enviorment.
Food and Dining the college has a great caferteria with wonderful food and nice poeple working there everyday school day.
Academic Rigor This school always keeps me on my toes and learning.
Tips for prospective students Take it nice and slow and don't take to many classes in the first semester!!
In three sentences A fun , hip place to learn. People are friendly and understanding as well as thoughtful. Its a great place to ease into the college life.

Dorm Life Housing is mostly for the athletes.
Academic Rigor As long as you have good study habits, you should do well.
Tips for prospective students Never slack off! It will eventually come back to bite you in the end.
In three sentences Galveston College is a good college for desired transfer students to begin. It has really good technical programs as well as basic core classes. The learning environment is very commendable.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Definitely the beach or the strand. Plus we just got a new attraction the Pleasure Pier.
Food and Dining Lots of eatery places on the Island.
Dorm Life I do not stay in the dorms.
Academic Rigor Academic Rigor are a must. You must be prepared and put your best foot forward.
Tips for prospective students Get the most out of your classroom experience. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Interact with you fellow classmates.
In three sentences Galveston College is a wonderful school to attend. I love the online option they offer. I love how the teachers are passionate about their job.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students needing a fresh start will find this college amazing.
Bang for the buck You cannot find a cheaper college education.
What to do for fun You can go to the gym and play a pick up game of indoor soccer. If that's not your thing, then you're out of luck.
Food and Dining Honestly, I've never tried it. I've heard it's rather good.
Dorm Life There is barely any on campus housing. Unless you are a baseball or softball player, you'll have to settle for off campus housing.
Academic Rigor The academics are what you make it. Some teachers are great, some are not, but the material is there and it's what you do with it that counts.
Tips for prospective students Register early and apply for financial aid!
In three sentences Galveston College is a great place to get a start in your college career. Small classes, diverse student body, and cheap tuition make GC the ultimate place for a fresh start. If you take the classes seriously, you can get a lot out of your education here.
