There is always something to do for fun. Sporting events are going on all the time, the Knight club offers great food and a good place to hang out plus they over different events on campus such as movie showings, dances and a lot more. It is very easy to get involved on campus and there are plenty of groups and organizations to choose from. There is always someone that is similar to you that you can team up with to make the best of your experience.

The real question is what isn't there to do for fun at Gannon University? The college offers a variety of activities from social clubs, to intramural sports; even the athletic activities are orientated based on athletic skill. What is so fantastic about the diversity of activities is that they are all set at different times so no matter what your class schedule may be you can attend at least one event.

All freshman students should try to join a club or organization to get involved on campus. These clubs provide a great support network and can allow students to meet a great deal of new people. Gannon provides opportunities for trips to New York City. Students can head to Presque Isle Park when the weather is nice for miles of beaches. The bayfront provides a lot of activities such as kayaking, fishing, miniature golf, and restaurants and shops. The Erie Otters hockey team and the Seawolves baseball team both have headquarters in Erie, so students can easily walk to their home games. In the winter, there are not a whole lot of activities to do in Erie, unless you travel to nearby ski resorts. For students who are 21, there are plenty of bars within walking distance of the campus. Gannon puts on an annual homecoming dance which is a lot of fun. There is also the homecoming parade, in which lots of clubs put together floats, banners, and dances. Fraternities and sororities compete for the titles of best dance, best float, and best banner. Lots of hard work and time goes into creating the show. Students who get involved on campus tend to have a much more positive experience than students who do not.

In the summer it is fun to walk around the older neighborhoods and look at the old mansions. The bayfront is within walking distance, with a mini golf course. With your ID you can take the bus anywhere in town for free.

There are clubs and organizations. This school also host several activities for students. If a student is interested in sports, local sports team games are available to attend.

Gannon's Student Night Club and Activities Programming Board works hard to ensure the students are well entertained on and off campus at a low budget. From movies, cookouts, comedy acts, poetry readings, and Rec Center activities, there is at least one social activity going on everyday, a lot of times even more than one.

Erie is a great city. Lots of entertainment (beach, mall, etc,). Located down town where something fun is always going on.
