Even though this is a junior college be expected to stay on top of your class work because it is very easy to get behind and even harder to catch back up.

    In three sentences

The campus is okay. The buildings here look like office buildings.

    In three sentences

GMC-Augusta is a smaller campus nestled in the heart of Augusta, Georgia. I would recommend GMC for any student young or old. Smaller class size allows for a more personal interaction with the professors.

    Campus Safety

Very strict about their campus rules, but they are in place for the protection of the students. I feel very safe attending here.

    Greek Life

    No greek life.

    Clubs and Activities

A wide variety, from gardening and community involvement, to LGBMHQ and Phi Theta Kappa-honor society.

Great for these types of students

    Any kind of student.

    What to do for fun

There is not much. However, many teachers are very funny, and like to have a good time while teaching the material. Also, make friends and talk to people, that is most of my entertainment.

    Food and Dining

Each quarter, different restaurants cater at the school for very reasonable prices. If you are not in the mood to pay for those, Mcdonald's, sunrise grill, and Firehouse subs are within walking distance. Or the campus is a short distance from any sort of restaurant you may desire.

    Dorm Life

There are no dorms at my campus.

    Academic Rigor

Every teacher makes you work. Some teachers, it is a lot of note taking and homework. While other teachers, it is reading and taking notes before class, and then coming to discuss what you read.

    Tips for prospective students

Manage your time very well. Because it is the quarter system, you are required to attend everyday, and when you miss one day, it is like missing a week of information. Talk to other students before registering, because they can give you great insight into which teachers to take. For parking, get there close to class change time in order to get a student's parking spot in the first lot, and not having to walk a mile from the 3rd lot.

    In three sentences

You can really connect with your professors, because of the smaller class size. Georgia Military is one of the few schools that is on the quarter system, and I feel as though you retain information better this way versus the semester system. At Georgia Military, they are very focused on creating a community within the school and getting students involved, which makes every student feel loved and welcome.
