Around Town

They had a free movie showing at the Russel Union every Friday night. There are also different events that always seem to be going on. A lot of people go to the bars and different parties to get drunk for fun though.

During the fall football games are the best fun on the weekend. As well as the other sporting events like basketball and baseball.

There isn't many actual attractions to GSU but we are better off than many other cities. We are 40 minutes from Savannah and 50 from the beach.

Go to the beach , hang out with friends or go to awesome rec center.

Their are places around the town that provide outlets for activities such as golfing and movies. They are also building an archery range in a few years. Also, the school provides trips during breaks for anyone interested in hiking and rafting.

The city is what you make it! There's always stuff going on, on campus, so that's a great way to have fun as well as meet people that may help you in the future!

University Plaza

Though Statesboro is a small town, it is easy to find fun things to do! Someone is always having some sort of get together or there is always going to the pool because it stays warm most of the year.

In Statesboro there is not a whole lot to do. There is a mall with about 5 shops and a movie theater. On campus there are bars to go to for entertainment with drinks and dancing. Only an hour away is Savannah and Tybee which are both very fun for weekend fun.

You can hang out in the union and other common areas. You can always join various social clubs.
