Around Town

Joining clubs, there are plenty of fun clubs and activities to join.

In this school, there is an arcade in a cafeteria, so you can have fun in there with your friends. Or, you can just play around with your computer at a library, since this school has great WI-FI connection.

The beach is a ten minute drive for some cool waves. There's also a nature center where you can go feed the squirrels and ducks that eat peanuts out of your hand. Watch out for the swans.

The beach is just 15 minutes away from the college, during the hot days which here in Huntington Beach we get a lot, you can enjoy a great day at the beach. Also within minutes away you can stroll around downtown HB and there is endless places to visit to have a great time. Bowling and parks are just minutes away.

The school provides pool tables and other games for students.

There are numerous student council positions that students can join. At least twice a week there are fund-raisers being held by other clubs. Also, Golden West College does a great job by hosting many campus wide events such as Diversity Week, Red Cross Blood Drives, and Gay Pride Week. Golden West loves to celebrate the diverse nature of the campus and offer free food at a majority of the events. Other than that there is a large quad in the center of the school and a beautiful garden in the corner complete with trails and benches for students to relax.

Golden West College always has something going on. Whether someone is engaging in freedom of speech or just playing their guitar, there is so much opportunity for great conversation and debate. Golden West College also offers free field trips for students and live bands often perform.
