    Use rate my professor.com it is a life saver. Do not take classes you do not need . That seems like expected knowledge but it can happen. Stay on track with classes you need, do not count on your advisors .

    It isn't like a huge university so don't be too scared to speak up. But remember it sure isn't high school anymore. They will expect college level work from you but that isn't a surprise, it's college. Just keep a positive outlook and if you ever need help don't be afraid to ask questions and hit up the student success center for help.

    My advice would be to attend class and never be afraid to ask for help from your instructor. They all have mandatory office hours for this reason alone.
