Show up for class attendence is a good fraction of your grade, ten percent in some classes. Do your homework, it really helps and some of the proffessors actually check homework and grade it. Take notes, don't space out during class, notes are important becuase they help you highlight the important stuff without having to go through the whole book. Explore the college, it will give you a better sense on where you are there. The staircases can get confusing even with signs.
