The classes offered at Gustavus are well structured but also very fun and interesting. Most of the classes are based off of class participation which allows for students to give their opinions and ask questions even in the middle of a lecture. Although the classes are challenging, especially those that are specific to a certain major, the professors are very open and are available at different times during the week to offer help and further explanation. The pace of the classes within a semester is sometimes overwhelming but at the same time it is possible to keep...

    Gustavus is a small quiet college in the middle of farm country. It is a party school, so there is a lot going on during weekends and vacation time on campus. Classes are interesting, but try to avoid 8am classes, they are hard to stay awake for!

    Gustavus is a place that prides itself on it's sense of community. However a lot of people believe that college who advertise that say that it sounds like a lot of hot air designed just to attract students. Now that I actually go here, I can say for sure, that they are not.

    Gustavus is full of fun and learning. They are sometimes perfectionist and so it takes a while to get things done, but when they do it's the best. The students are friendly and outgoing.

    This is a great college about an hour south of the Twin Cities, which is far enough away from home to totally immerse yourself in the college experience, but also close enough to allow you to go home for special occasions, holidays, birthdays, etc. Living in the dorms provides you with the opportunity to meet many other students, and develop long lasting friendships. The professors are very knowledgeable in their field, as well as caring and approachable.
